  1. LMFAO Tom Brady made Bon Jovi a better songwriter and singer? Just about every one of his "greatest hits" come from the 1980's and 1990's. This is the same guy who tried to convince people that he was going to move to Tonawanda full-time and run the Bills if the guys from Toronto whose dream it was to move an NFL team to Toronto bought the team for him. He NEVER had any intention of moving the team, nor did the guys from Toronto whose dream it was to have a Toronto NFL team! LOL OK, Bon.
  2. Last night Burrow brought up "the play where you (meaning Brady because he was speaking as a guest on Brady's podcast) got lit up by that DB from Buffalo" and Brady immediately said "Nate Clements" It was kind of cool that even Burrow remembered the play and felt like "hey, I want to be like that guy!"
  3. I wonder though... Is there talent here that is being underutilized? Our OL was bad all season, then Bates, a guy who has been here for a while, steps in and plays very well. Boettger was also doing well once he finally got a shot before getting hurt. The best guys were not playing for whatever reason. So part of me wonders if there is talent being buried on the bench.
  4. Rattlesnakes would be a great name for a team, and could add an intimidating vibe... Logo is a rattlesnake head open with fangs ready to bite... color scheme brown, black and white Sound effects of rattlesnake rattles during games... Just put the IDEA of a rattlesnake in players' minds. Guarantee someone is freaked out by it. I would be looking under the bench for one, even though it's an NFL stadium and there's obviously not rattlesnakes there... or are there?!
  5. With Brady, it got to the point where he was so into other teams' heads that they screwed up against him in ways they wouldn't normally. The mystique was part of his game, especially later on. I was listening to the Let's Go! podcast last night (just to see what he would say) and he had Joe Burrow on as a guest. Burrow answered "yes sir" to him at least once and also mentioned watching Brady's games when he was in middle school and wanting to play like that some day. The aura and mystique clearly helped Brady. You could be up 21-3 and it feels like you're still behind, because you're just waiting for disaster to strike. And when you go looking for disaster, lo and behold you find it.
  6. Commanders sounds dumb, then again to me the Houston Texans sounded dumb as well but now I'm used to it. Was there no bird, snake, or mammal available? Washington Pit Vipers would have been more appropriate and could lend itself to a cool logo.
  7. My favorite moment of Brady's career was the SB loss to the Giants ending their shot at a perfect season.
  8. Good news, bad news on this. First, the good news: every single all-time, career, and single season record will be broken by this new crop of QBs, especially since there are 17 games now to pile up stats. Bad news... I can't see anyone getting to 7 Super Bowl wins. You have to play until you're 44-45 to do that, because the competition is just too good to get there enough times otherwise. Like I said, if Josh Allen played in 10 Super Bowls I think we'd almost be a little disappointed with "just" 5 wins. I'll still say that IMO Peyton Manning was the GOAT. Best QB ever. He still owns the single season passing yards and TD records. But he only has 2 rings, so that detracts from his GOAT argument. Super Bowl wins are a team accomplishment (is Trent Dilfer better than Dan Marino?) but it's hoe you're judged as a QB.
  9. Brady had 3 SB wins at age 37. That's what blows my mind. MOST of his SB wins came after age 37, which is why his SB rings probably will never be surpassed. As great as KC has been, for example, they have 1 ring to show for it. That's normal. What NE did was insane! As amazing as NE was in their prime, as seemingly unbeatable, they only netted 3 SB rings by the time Brady was 37. If he had a typical QB career he would play at 38 and 39, maybe 40, have a few moments but noticeably decline and retire at age 40 or 41 with 3 SB titles and nowhere near any of the all time passing records. Totally different career, although still all-time great with 3 rings. It took the tuck rule, Lee Evans dropping an easy TD pass, Marshawn Lynch not getting a goal line handoff, Atlanta blowing a 25 point lead, a kicker nailing 3 last minute FGs, and so much more that had to go right. Brady was great, had an all-time great HC, some HOF level teammates, AND some amazing luck as well. You need all that. You have to get to a ton of Super Bowls to win them. Anything can happen in a single game. Just get to the big show. If Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes played in 10 super Bowls I'll bet they win 5 for sure. But you need to get there first.
  10. Mike McDaniel? Really? Poor Eric Bienemy is never getting a HC job... Florio's going to be smashing those keys once this cycle ends and no HC job for EB.
  11. I think he knew better than anyone that he was going to have a Big Ben final year type of season at some point, maybe even next year. This year Tampa had a cupcake of a schedule, but next year their schedule is brutal, at least on paper. Add in a 17 game season and I think he knew to go out while he could still play well and before he looked like he could barely function or take a brutal hit that causes a major injury.
  12. Glad to see it! Today football just becomes fun from here on out! I can't imagine disliking (we'll put it kindly given the levity of the occasion) any player or team as much as those NE/Brady teams or the Bucs teams either. No more stomach churning weeks of agony hoping someone can stop Brady from getting to or winning the Super Bowl! "Yeah it would be cool to see ____ win but can they beat Brady in the AFC or NFC Championship game? This team really seems to match up better, but if they lose he basically gets a bye next week if he wins this week... " He was worn out? Try being me! LOL Best of all? New England fans are angry and feel slighted. So many of them cheered for Brady against their supposed team this year on SNF! LOL
  13. Allen is great and will rise to the occasion when it really matters. Will our investment in defense ever pay off? That's the question.
  14. I realized watching the post game of the AFC title game that I don't think I've ever seen Mike Brown or heard him speak before.
  15. Minnesota is where he should go. These guys need to think strategically. If you want to win go to the NFC.
  16. LOL It's true... this certainly didn't age well! When it was 21-3 KC I was like "I'm glad I didn't watch this mess!"
  17. Of course Mahomes makes mistakes this week... Congratulations to the Bengals though!
  18. I want an LA KC insanely dramatic super bowl with all sorts of craziness, twists and turns, with an insane finish that I can just watch with no drama and enjoy! With no Brady it's just fun... Lots of good food, enjoy the spectacle of it all and hope for a great game. Any of the remaining 4 teams is about I same for me but I want the most entertaining Super Bowl
  19. Just such terrible coaching on defense for those 13 seconds... inexcusable
  20. YES! What we're missing is a big target at WR, plus this guy is an athletic freak
  21. I had no idea that a Bill was anywhere near any part of either of those plays. This is brutal. Rams could easily win it all, no matter who they play. that D is totally legit.
  22. Watching this makes my blood boil... Coaches screwed up so epically... I think they choked. Panicked. Around 17 minutes in they discuss McD's obsession with detail. I want to scream.
  23. Agreed... something went wrong at the end. That wasn't the plan.
  24. At first glance, schedule doesn't look bad. NFC North is terrible, and if Rodgers leaves GB they will be lucky to win 5 games. If I need my taxes done or need to renegotiate an employment contract I'll call Kirk Cousins, otherwise Vikings are mediocre to bad. The Lions and Bears are both LOL AFC North is a bit tougher, though, but we should continue to own the AFC East, which gets you in the tournament no matter what.
