The only games I can re-watch are old Super Bowls that NFL uploads on YouTube with the breaks cut out. Just re-watched the Cardinals/Steelers one they put up because it was Madden's last game, and I had forgotten how insane that SB was... So many wild swings all game long! That said, my version of hell is that I'm strapped to a chair and forced to watch the Atlanta/NE Super Bowl on repeat for eternity, including the post game. Easily the worst thing I've ever seen on a screen of any type.

Bills Bengals Packers anyone but the Buccaneers

Anyone think the Steelers can beat KC?

Big Ben looks like he's throwing a 10 pound medicine ball when he passes, so I don't see it happening. -

Just think of how Rodgers' career would be different if he had already won 3 Super Bowls and was trying to tie Joe Montana with #4 this year. The NFC Title Game is a hurdle he just can't seem to get over. -
2018 and 2019 games? How about double-digit wins in each of the 2021/22 games! and that's with Allen not playing well.

If the goal is to stack Super Bowls then you stay in the NFC. That's (IMO) why Brady chose the Bucs. He knew the AFC was much tougher in terms of getting to the Super Bowl, and you've got to get to them to win them, If Rodgers was even .500 in NFC title games he would have played in 3 Super Bowls already. NFC North is a wasteland. AFC West would be Mahomes, Herbert and even Carr/Raiders 2x a year, plus now Rodgers. That's insane! NFC has like 3 or 4 good QBs. AFC West alone would have 4 if he went there. -

That's OK, we can agree to disagree on that. I think Dawkins is starting to finally get back into form after going through a bad case of Covid, and that is also helping, as is our rookie RT getting more settled in. I would say the Bills OL is NFL average, maybe a touch above when everyone is healthy and in the right spots. -

Packers are loaded at almost every position, which is why it's nuts that Rodgers would want to leave there. Not only that but they're about to get a very good WR (Cobb) both starting tackles, their best OLB, and a starting corner back, and maybe their starting center. They've played most of the season without all those guys on the field at once. Chiefs though are very top heavy with a handful of amazing players and a lot of whoevers. -

Mason Crosby has been off this season suddenly. Coincidence? I doubt it! -

A truly great punter is a huge weapon for your team. I'd draft him in the 3rd round. He can also kick if needed, which is enormous. It's not common, but kickers do pull something or get hurt during a game, and if that's a playoff game you could be in big trouble if your punter isn't a good kicker, which most are not. This is actually a really interesting philosophical discussion. How high would you draft a punter? What if you thought you could be drafting the greatest punter of all time? What is that worth? A guy who can flip field position, kick well when needed, bring passion and energy, get you out of trouble by booming punts out of your own end, and consistently pin the other team deep for your defense to go to work could theoretically be a big reason you win a game or two a season. I might go as high as a low 1st rounder if I think I'm getting a once in a lifetime punter, as crazy as that sounds. I think that helps the team in an immediate and tangible way more than a guard there, for example. -

I think it's good for today's NFL. Line play overall is mediocre to bad league-wide. -

As bad as the cold is, players are only out in the open exposed to it for short spurts. Then they come to the sideline, get heavy jackets, hats, and stand in front of heaters that are like standing in front of the sun. He'll be OK -

We've got the right combo on the OL and they are finally giving Singletary the touches he needs to get rolling (again) like he did early in his career. I'm not saying Singletary is a top 10 RB, but he's plenty good enough to be your #1 guy. -

After reading that article I'm in love with this player. Like, I'd take him over a 450 pound DT kind of love. -

But that's true for any team with a dynamic weapon. Take Lamar Jackson out of the equation and suddenly Baltimore is just another team. -

I think he's correct, with the possible exception of the Packers the Bills have the best roster on paper. If you look at the playoff teams here's how I would rank the top 5 playoff team rosters ON PAPER: 1. Packers: they had the best record in the league all year, and right now not only are they healthy but they are getting back their top pass rusher, top OL, and top CB. That's like the Bills being where they are now but in walk Tre White, Mario Williams in his prime, and one of the top LT in the league to join the playoff push. 2. Bills: they were talking on WGR about this on the morning show. Where is the weakness? Punter? Not having Tre White is huge now, though, which is why I put the Bills at #2. We tend to underrate them because we see them all the time, IMO. Allen is a top 5 QB, Singletary is plenty good enough at RB, the OL is good, the DL is good and starting to get more pressure as the young guys come into their own, secondary is stacked, and LBers are very good. WR group is very good, and our young TE is having a breakout season. Bills are at least good at every spot, and great at a few. 3. Bengals: this team is loaded and very dangerous. They have (IMO) a top 5-7 QB who has played in huge games his entire college career, have 3 big time WR, a top RB and great running game, and a nasty defense. They're still young and somewhat unpredictable though, but in terms of raw talent on paper their roster is loaded. 4. Rams: Pro Bowl roster, but they did lose Woods and their starting safety to injury. They just seem off, but the talent is there on paper at pretty much every position. 5A. Buccaneers: they have a ton of key injuries, although some guys are coming back to play we'll see how healthy they are. They did lose their best 2 WR in Godwin and Brown, which is going to make it tougher. Still, another Pro Bowl team that is totally stacked at most positions. 5B. Cowboys: good QB, great WR, great running game, lots of big time players on defense. When they click good luck stopping them. They are a weird team like the Rams in that they could score 50 on you or struggle to get to 20. Notable absences: Chiefs: it's not that they're bad or anything (obviously) but they are amazing at a few spots and straight up bad in others. Very top-heavy and one dimensional, although it's a heck of a dimension when it's humming. Tyreek Hill having a "heel injury" is IMO a lot worse than they are making it out to be, and without him running 75 yards every play to take the top off they're not a top 5 threatening offense IMO. Titans: Whatever. I'll never be impressed with them, no matter what they do. -
The NFL absolutely LOVES this, which is yet another reason there will be no dome in Buffalo. You'll hear over and over about the cold on the telecast. They're going to play it up. I've said this before, and I'll say it again here: the NFL is a TV product, and the stadiums are the TV sets. Fans and weather create the Buffalo atmosphere that makes a game here different from playing in Indianapolis or Minnesota. Games in Buffalo are special. College atmosphere, crazy fans, sometimes crazy weather. There's a mystique. Now, that doesn't mean it's an ADVANTAGE for the Bills, but it is something special for the PRODUCT that is the NFL. 65,000 (ish) fans at the stadium will be a bit cold, but millions watching on TV will love every second of watching America's Team get the W in front of Bills Mafia, which will be plenty warmed up and ready to roll! Being bundled up AND in such a dense crowd of people makes a difference too. If you dress warmly you'll be fine, and I will say "man it must be freezing there!" as I watch on my couch in my warm living room!

Shaq Lawson possibly returning to Buffalo
TheFunPolice replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder if they want to do a deal where he's under contract for next season as well, a 1 year deal plus this playoff run? Maybe that's making the process take a little bit longer than a simple practice squad signing. -

I agree, but I've seen him play really well before, so I'd rather he not end up in the AFC East. I'm all for Tua getting a few years to develop. -
