NFL Week 7 - Around the NFL - Gameday thread (Bills have bye)
TheFunPolice replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Brady is the only great player I absolutely loathe. Entitled POS who has been totally phony, gotten every break, and has been caught cheating twice. Kicks players who sack him. Kicks defenders when he used to scramble and slide. Most of all, he's supposedly SOLELY responsible for the Patriots dynasty. I could go on and on. When it comes to everyone else, I enjoy seeing greatness and we just might be watching the early years of an all time great career in Allen! -

I saw somewhere that Allen had the most RTP penalties called in his favor over the past few years. That's good. Gotta protect America's QB! -

Tommy's battered old bones have to be ready for a Thursday night game vs the Ravens, who can hit the QB. Although the tweet is a parody account I do think Tommy's crappy mood is carrying over to the team. -

49ers got that dawg in them... Plus talent everywhere. Dangerous team once they're healthy, which has been the big issue -

100% LOVED that Panthers win! Even in my most fevered anti Brady daydreams I didn't see Tampa losing to the Steelers and Panthers back to back! Just wish the Saints had another win or two because of that division. Also, Bruce Arians is underrated. Dude was great everywhere he went but Tommy didn't like someone yelling back. -

Love that Atlanta scored because then Bengals will keep throwing. I want to see how many yds Burrow can throw for today -

Watching RedZone... Man the Bills are in a different league from many of these teams -
Storytelling 101: it's always darkest before the dawn. The rally begins today.

Cleveland Browns are just gross. Can you imagine them winning with Watson? Yuck.
-
Bills and Lions fans We know our story. As for Detroit, there are actually many, many die-hard true Lions fans out there who have never really seen any real playoff success, let alone any type of serious SB run. They had Barry Sanders and as good as he was they never went anywhere. Stafford. Megatron. Not even a deep playoff run.

in absentia, having a superstar RB is a huge advantage However, that comes with big $, and a long term deal the guy will never live up to because most are a flash in the pan for a few years then fade into obscurity. Does King Henry still play in the league? Last year he was an MVP candidate and looked like a cheat code.
-
very similar, good comparison! 2 guys 100% into their work with everything else being a box to check or an unwelcome distraction.
-
the sad truth is that none of that interests him... He's Dwight Schrute with more success and fewer beets
-
Tom vs Time. It's all part of the story. Is it really over? Has Time finally won? 100% story arc. This week he'll throw for 400 yards and a few TDs against Carolina and everyone will do the whole "not so fast!" deal. Anyone who has ever watched WWE has seen the hero get beat down, seemingly it's hopeless, but THEN! The rally. The more hopeless it looks before the rally, the better for the story. Brady will 100% be in the Super Bowl. You can book it.

I'd never pay a RB, unless it was Thurman Thomas or Barry Sanders in his prime, and those guys come along once every 25 years. Remember Todd Gurley, the unstoppable RB who scored TD after TD after TD? Didn't even play in their Super Bowl and vanished after into obscurity. So many stories just like that. Even "King Henry" the unstoppable is now just a guy who runs for 3 yards a carry. RBs are important for sure, but once they hit superstar status it's time to trade them, because they'll be done in 2 years.

that's it... the guy is a robot film study... avacado smoothie... film study... kale smoothie... film study... bowl of lettuce... yoga... film study Mix in the occasional plastic surgery to look "adorable" but other than that there's really nothing else there. It's like listening to a robot when he talks. I predict he will be horrific to listen to on Fox and will hate every minute of it, because the topic won't be Tom Brady
