  1. That's OK, we can agree to disagree on that. I think Dawkins is starting to finally get back into form after going through a bad case of Covid, and that is also helping, as is our rookie RT getting more settled in. I would say the Bills OL is NFL average, maybe a touch above when everyone is healthy and in the right spots.
  2. Packers are loaded at almost every position, which is why it's nuts that Rodgers would want to leave there. Not only that but they're about to get a very good WR (Cobb) both starting tackles, their best OLB, and a starting corner back, and maybe their starting center. They've played most of the season without all those guys on the field at once. Chiefs though are very top heavy with a handful of amazing players and a lot of whoevers.
  3. I think an argument can be made that Thurman was the best RB in the NFL in the last 40 years. Imagine him in today's game? He was unstoppable back then. Also I think the last Bill to be named league MVP
  4. Mason Crosby has been off this season suddenly. Coincidence? I doubt it!
  5. A truly great punter is a huge weapon for your team. I'd draft him in the 3rd round. He can also kick if needed, which is enormous. It's not common, but kickers do pull something or get hurt during a game, and if that's a playoff game you could be in big trouble if your punter isn't a good kicker, which most are not. This is actually a really interesting philosophical discussion. How high would you draft a punter? What if you thought you could be drafting the greatest punter of all time? What is that worth? A guy who can flip field position, kick well when needed, bring passion and energy, get you out of trouble by booming punts out of your own end, and consistently pin the other team deep for your defense to go to work could theoretically be a big reason you win a game or two a season. I might go as high as a low 1st rounder if I think I'm getting a once in a lifetime punter, as crazy as that sounds. I think that helps the team in an immediate and tangible way more than a guard there, for example.
  6. I hope they orient the new stadium or build it in such a way as to cut down on the wind. Anyone who shops at the Wegmans right by the stadium can attest that it is ALWAYS windy and miserably cold over there.
  7. I think it's good for today's NFL. Line play overall is mediocre to bad league-wide.
  8. As bad as the cold is, players are only out in the open exposed to it for short spurts. Then they come to the sideline, get heavy jackets, hats, and stand in front of heaters that are like standing in front of the sun. He'll be OK
  9. We've got the right combo on the OL and they are finally giving Singletary the touches he needs to get rolling (again) like he did early in his career. I'm not saying Singletary is a top 10 RB, but he's plenty good enough to be your #1 guy.
  10. After reading that article I'm in love with this player. Like, I'd take him over a 450 pound DT kind of love.
  11. But that's true for any team with a dynamic weapon. Take Lamar Jackson out of the equation and suddenly Baltimore is just another team.
  12. I think he's correct, with the possible exception of the Packers the Bills have the best roster on paper. If you look at the playoff teams here's how I would rank the top 5 playoff team rosters ON PAPER: 1. Packers: they had the best record in the league all year, and right now not only are they healthy but they are getting back their top pass rusher, top OL, and top CB. That's like the Bills being where they are now but in walk Tre White, Mario Williams in his prime, and one of the top LT in the league to join the playoff push. 2. Bills: they were talking on WGR about this on the morning show. Where is the weakness? Punter? Not having Tre White is huge now, though, which is why I put the Bills at #2. We tend to underrate them because we see them all the time, IMO. Allen is a top 5 QB, Singletary is plenty good enough at RB, the OL is good, the DL is good and starting to get more pressure as the young guys come into their own, secondary is stacked, and LBers are very good. WR group is very good, and our young TE is having a breakout season. Bills are at least good at every spot, and great at a few. 3. Bengals: this team is loaded and very dangerous. They have (IMO) a top 5-7 QB who has played in huge games his entire college career, have 3 big time WR, a top RB and great running game, and a nasty defense. They're still young and somewhat unpredictable though, but in terms of raw talent on paper their roster is loaded. 4. Rams: Pro Bowl roster, but they did lose Woods and their starting safety to injury. They just seem off, but the talent is there on paper at pretty much every position. 5A. Buccaneers: they have a ton of key injuries, although some guys are coming back to play we'll see how healthy they are. They did lose their best 2 WR in Godwin and Brown, which is going to make it tougher. Still, another Pro Bowl team that is totally stacked at most positions. 5B. Cowboys: good QB, great WR, great running game, lots of big time players on defense. When they click good luck stopping them. They are a weird team like the Rams in that they could score 50 on you or struggle to get to 20. Notable absences: Chiefs: it's not that they're bad or anything (obviously) but they are amazing at a few spots and straight up bad in others. Very top-heavy and one dimensional, although it's a heck of a dimension when it's humming. Tyreek Hill having a "heel injury" is IMO a lot worse than they are making it out to be, and without him running 75 yards every play to take the top off they're not a top 5 threatening offense IMO. Titans: Whatever. I'll never be impressed with them, no matter what they do.
  13. The NFL absolutely LOVES this, which is yet another reason there will be no dome in Buffalo. You'll hear over and over about the cold on the telecast. They're going to play it up. I've said this before, and I'll say it again here: the NFL is a TV product, and the stadiums are the TV sets. Fans and weather create the Buffalo atmosphere that makes a game here different from playing in Indianapolis or Minnesota. Games in Buffalo are special. College atmosphere, crazy fans, sometimes crazy weather. There's a mystique. Now, that doesn't mean it's an ADVANTAGE for the Bills, but it is something special for the PRODUCT that is the NFL. 65,000 (ish) fans at the stadium will be a bit cold, but millions watching on TV will love every second of watching America's Team get the W in front of Bills Mafia, which will be plenty warmed up and ready to roll! Being bundled up AND in such a dense crowd of people makes a difference too. If you dress warmly you'll be fine, and I will say "man it must be freezing there!" as I watch on my couch in my warm living room!
  14. I wonder if they want to do a deal where he's under contract for next season as well, a 1 year deal plus this playoff run? Maybe that's making the process take a little bit longer than a simple practice squad signing.
  15. I agree, but I've seen him play really well before, so I'd rather he not end up in the AFC East. I'm all for Tua getting a few years to develop.
  16. I'm hoping that Watson doesn't end up in Miami. Send him to the NFC, Texans!
  17. Guess whose back? Back again... Shaq is back... Tell a friend
  18. Thurman was so, so good... Growing up in those days watching Thurman, Barry, and Emmitt was a golden era of RBs, but IMO Thurman was the best of the 3 because he could play RB, WR, block, and be great at everything. He won league MVP as a RB! People today mention Taylor or Henry as MVP calibur RBs... Thurman was in another universe. Dude could bust a 40 yard run up the middle then go downfield and catch a 30 yard pass down the sideline as a WR!
  19. Cole is entitled to his own opinions, and I respect that, and in and of itself that's not a big deal to me. However, he has caused quite the stir this season AND something just seems off with him. His going at the fans for "booing him" when he catches the ball (which I don't think is what is happening) coupled with how he took so many shots at Dallas after leaving there makes me think he feels wronged somehow here and it is affecting his attitude and his play. He could just be hurt, frustrated, and now feeling like he's being attacked or not appreciated here because of the Covid stuff. He's a tough dude and a very good slot WR, and we need him dialed in to win a Super Bowl. I will say this in defense of Cole: regardless of the noise, the guy catches just about everything thrown near him.
  20. Bill O'Brien is already having a meltdown/tempter tantrum about Tua missing a throw and he isn't even the coach there yet!
  21. to me it looks from the latest video posted in this thread that Cole was lollygagging off the field before the punt and McDermott probably said something like "move it!" and Cole flipped out. McDermott just kept walking because both he and Cole (and everyone else on the sidelines) knows McDermott is right. Get off the field with some urgency! No big deal, really.
  22. McCall is more my size of DT. 320 is a bit skinny for my liking. Get the 350 pounder in here, get some good Buffalo food in him and get him bulked up and ready to roll!
  23. It could have looked like something it wasn't too... Maybe Beasley (who is a tough dude) went out there with a nagging injury and after that play something flared up and he was just frustrated and said "I'm done" meaning he was too banged up to make plays. We often see players react angrily to injuries or their bodies not obeying. It has to be frustrating as hell for your mind to want to play but your body to say "nope."
  24. It has to hurt to get tackled in that type of cold
  25. Cole was about to go all AB and strip down on the field and go dancing through the endzone shirtless on his way out but he didn't have a track ready to drop, and it was freezing cold, so he decided against it.
