total disfunction, 17 years of no playoffs, constant turmoil, not 1 but TWO head coaches chose to quit rather than stay on, snake oil salesman playing mini-owner...
Aside from an overly involved owner (and especially some owner's kids, who tend to want to play real life Madden Franchise Mode) you are the one building the program so it's less of an issue where the team currently is.
Of course, having a QB already (Jax?, CHI, NE) helps a lot, especially if you think you're the guy who can help that player/team reach their potential (which is basically every coach ever).
