  1. here's my "deep down" thought: Mahomes, as great as he is, underperforms in the biggest games (AFC Title and SB) As great a run as he has had, including FOUR AFC Title games in a ROW at home, he has 1 ring, and it required just tossing Tua style prayers up in the 4th quarter until finally one was answered. If Jimmy G hits a wide open WR in the 4th quarter then SF wins that SB and Mahomes "can't win the big one" with an 0-2 record in the SB and a 2-2 record in conference title games with the table set for him as a heavy favorite. My OTHER "deep down" thing I predict/think is that Allen will end up winning more SBs than Mahomes, while Mahomes will accumulate stats, MVPs, awards, accolades. Allen will win ugly. Allen can play when things get dirty. Maybe he's at his best then. Mahomes not so much. I predict more appearances for Mahomes, more wins for Allen. Allen: 2-0 in the Super Bowl Mahomes: 1-3 in the Super Bowl That's my "deep down" feeling about Mahomes and Allen
  2. everyone saying we should draft a 1st round WR better prepare for the guy's ass to be nailed to that bench all year so that Kumerow can get snaps on offense. He can keep Cook company!
  3. man... the Saints truly cost us a chance for a stress free playoffs, although other NFC South teams would actually have to win games too! I was playing around a bit with the playoff machine, and I had a couple of scenarios where both the Panthers and Falcons got in. Now THAT would blow everyone's' minds!
  4. for people wondering about his time in Tampa this year, I follow a lot of Tampa forums/blogs (mostly after losses like Sundays, for pure enjoyment value) and there has been talk all season of major issues on that team. Coaches vs players, players vs players, lots of nasty stuff. Something is off there. If not for the Rams and Saints blowing leads in epic fashion, that team is 4-9 right now. Bowles saying something to the effect of "we (coaches) can't care more than the players, we're not on the field" after the SF game says a lot, I think. Sure, he followed up with "we're to blame too" but that was a telling remark from a guy who is pretty much a dial tone in terms of things to say. Beasley probably hated being there and had no particular connection to the players or team. Walked into a toxic locker room with incompetent coaches and a QB who demands total control and does whatever he feels like and decided worshipping Brady on a crappy team (that will still go the Super Bowl because of course) wasn't worth it. Just my speculation.
  5. This game is going to be a party atmosphere!
  6. Jordan Phillips is one of my favorite players on the team, so hopefully he's ready for the playoff push. We need the big man wrecking OL in January and February!
  7. love the signing! Allen reportedly was the catalyst here, and I'm sure the players have his back. Now someone needs to make a "We're chanting BEEES!" t-shirt and we'll be all set. We don't need any more misunderstandings when he catches balls for big first downs!
  8. we're basically the Bucs with a much better QB and HC almost no running game, totally 1 dimensional offense, solid defense. The difference is Allen can do 10x what Brady can at this point in their careers, and McDermott is head and shoulders above Bowles as a HC
  9. Jauron was right... It is hard to win in the NFL 10-3 feels great! Stack the wins and we'll see where things end up
  10. I can't even explain what a tremendous holiday gift it would be for Tampa to miss the playoffs entirely. Then, it's just relax and enjoy the playoffs! Still extremely unlikely, but you never know!
  11. The kiss of death for getting playing time here is the team drafting you with a first or second round pick. This does seem to be a recent change, though. Logically, one might think it's due to the increased talent level here, but at CB and RB that's a stretch. Nothing but respect for Singletary's work ethic and effort, but is he SO TALENTED that our 2nd round RB can't see the field? If so, why isn't Singletary more of a focal point? Also, nothing against our non Tre White CBs, but are they SO GOOD that Elam can't crack the lineup? Really? It's a legitimate concern at this point.
  12. There's more talent on this offense than we're seeing, IMO I think it's at least as much about player utilization. Cook, a top pick, is basically invisible. Hines, the guy they "couldn't wait to get" is invisible. Gabe Davis, the man who was uncoverable in the playoffs, invisible. Dawson Knox, a guy who was making some huge strides, invisible most of the time. McKenzie, who had some nice games filling in for Beasley, invisible. At a certain point it can't all be that these guys forgot how to play football.
  13. The key to "we get several feet" is "who is we?" Because one relatively narrow band of area will have 3 feet and the rest of us get 8 inches, a dusting or nothing at all. And a week later it's like it never happened.
  14. exactly. This is WNY weather
  15. if Carolina beats NO and the Bengals beat Tampa next week Carolina leads that division!
  16. Hey, the snow in Bedford Falls didn't stop Harry from flying in to help his brother George Bailey, so the snow in OP isn't going to stop us!
  17. it would be amazing contrast of Bills/Dolphins games too! One played on the surface of the sun the next played in a snow globe
  18. and exactly what the outside world thinks of/expects for a Buffalo December game! Like the "Frozen Tundra of Green Bay..."
  19. Sorry! I didn't read through the thread! That's my bad!
  20. a snow event (just on the edge of manageable) in Buffalo for a HUGE Saturday night Bills/Dolphins game where the fans have "pre gamed" all day in the parking lot is 100% EXACTLY what the NFL wants to see. incredible television, and the atmosphere will be electric! Lake effect snow doesn't automatically mean several feet. That happens every few years and impacts a handful of days. It's overblown
  21. if we get a foot or two life just goes on here, albeit more slowly. 5 feet is obviously another story, but it's winter in the northeast. Everything doesn't need to be cancelled/moved because it snows.
  22. I feel like we've been through this, but the reason the game was moved had ZERO to do with not having a roof. The roads around the stadium were impassable, and there was a travel ban in OP. Therefore, even with a magical dome the game would be moved.
  23. That's their entire offense
  24. That's a terrible roughing the passer
  25. I enjoyed seeing the Bucs result! Also, go Chargers! Either way we benefit from tonight's game imo
