  1. Maybe he bet the moonshine still?
  2. Someone bet the house on the Eagles... That guy must be at least somewhat nervous. Do the Eagles also need to cover the spread for him to win? This betting stuff is confusing https://www.google.com/amp/s/profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2022/11/03/someone-in-west-virginia-wagered-185000-on-the-eagles-tonight/amp/
  3. the whole thing about WNY being so scary and awful weather is overblown, IMO True winter here lasts from late December to early March. 3 (ish) months and change of true "winter" and even late December and early March have warmer spells where it's 50 degrees out and sunny. Anyone who owns a snowmobile in WNY understand this well. 3-4 weeks TOPS when you can use the sled most years. and that's a few days here, a week there, in total for the whole winter. If you're lucky. Last winter it was like 2 weeks in late January/early February. It's 60 degrees and sunny outside today, which is not too crazy for early November here. A December Bills game is likely to be 42 degrees and grey skies. Yes, it COULD very well blizzard anytime now, but it is MORE likely to be in the 40's or 50's with gloomy skies and that signature WNY November/early December fogginess that lasts all day long. November and early December here are a "wear a comfy hoodie, drink beer and have a BBQ" kind of vibe.
  4. tighter game than we think... Bills 27 Jets 21 (but they score that last TD late and don't recover the onside kick)
  5. Beane has built a team that I might have built in Madden. Tons of late round picks contributing, a stacked roster, a 340+ pound DT... This roster is stacked with talent, but we need to win when it's showtime.
  6. Hines and Cook in the backfield, Diggs, Davis McKenzie at WR, and oh, Knox at TE. Or Allen can also run!
  7. given that he tore his ACL in mid-February, it's still a bit early
  8. My man Jordan Phillips has 11 sacks in 3 years with the Bills!
  9. How many 1st round picks do the Dolphins have?!
  10. I think they pre record it Sunday evening before the results of SNF are known
  11. At least both teams wear orange. Do you think someone actually thought about that for Halloween? I hope so.
  12. I freaking love Jordan Phillips! So glad they brought the big man back.
  13. Some fans seem to expect everything to go perfectly all the time. The minute a guy misses a tackle or drops a ball or fumbles he is a bum who need to be cut. It's an imperfect game, and quite frankly, we're spoiled watching this team because so often it does seem so easy. but it's not
  14. also, everyone said the same thing last year: AFC > NFC and the NFC team won it all.
  15. can't see it... Chargers/49ers is a pretty good matchup, and the MNF game features the Eagles
  16. the league is crazy, so once that tournament begins, anything can happen... Look at last year: everyone said the 2 best teams in the NFL were Buffalo and KC in whatever order. Neither even MADE it to the SB. KC beats us in the 13 second game, and the next week is up 21-3 at home vs Cincinnati in the AFC Title Game. and yet.. it's the BENGALS that represent the AFC. Not only that, they really should have won the Super Bowl, if not for ticky tack calls to help the Rams at the end. Even with that, if Burrow sees Chase open on 4th down the Bengals win it all last season.
  17. That's the thing... It's said every year, then they somehow claw their way into the playoffs but Jimmy G isn't taking them anywhere, we all know that. A few weeks later they are in the Super Bowl or one easy INT that was dropped away from being in the SB (last year when Stafford handed them the NFC Title Game but they dropped it). They're a dangerous team because when it gets ugly they have the toughness to find a way.
  18. Here's my read of the NFC. Philly is a tough team, sort of like the 49ers. They are dangerous but ultimately I don't trust Hurts when the game is on the line. Giants are winning with smoke, mirrors and good luck, which isn't sustainable but good for them and Daboll. Not a real contender although they might win enough games to make it in to the playoffs. Vikings could win 14 games and I'll still not respect them because of Kirk Cousins, who wilts when the lights get bright. 49ers are a tough team, and if they ever get healthy they are scrappy, win ugly, scrappy type of team that can go deep in the playoffs with everyone saying they have no shot. 49ers always seem to outperform their potential. Dallas is the mirror opposite of the 49ers. Big names, all the media love, all the hype, and they will lose 1st round in the playoffs if they make it. Cowboys always seem to fall short of their potential. Overall, I think Dallas or SF will be the team to go to (and lose) the NFC Title game to Tampa, who will play in the Super Bowl with a losing regular season record. Why Tampa? Because I absolutely refuse to believe that Tom Brady won't just magically turn it around and start winning until I actually see prolonged evidence. It's one thing to beat Brady in September or October. It's way, way harder in a single elimination format where the refs will have itchy fingers for the flags on 3rd down when Brady has the ball and the league wants a "storybook ending."
  19. Sloppy throws from Allen... Uncharacteristic but then again maybe he's bored.
  20. That's why Green Bay doesn't throw! Also, BIG Jordan Phillips is the man!
