Andy Reid will almost certainly retire #2, with an outside shot at #1, all-time in head coaching wins. Reid is the offensive coach version of Belichick, except he didn't have an all-time great QB for most of his HC career. Can you imagine Andy Reid with Tom Brady for 20 years, and Belichick with a combination of McNabb, Cassell, Alex Smith, and then, finally, Mahomes 20 years later? the SB wins would likely be reversed. Maybe Reid doesn't win 6 with Brady. Or maybe he wins 7 with Brady. No disrespect to Caldwell, who by all accounts is a great guy and a decent enough coach, but there is no comparison.

Dion Dawkins "A Letter to Bills Mafia Part III"
TheFunPolice replied to Beck Water's topic in The Stadium Wall
For this team, this group of people, to be the ones to win a Super Bowl would be special in a way that no other team/season could match.- 43 replies

This probably sounds dumb, but after living in NY my entire life I think that on some psychological level I would miss the gloom

Panthers request to interview Dorsey for HC
TheFunPolice replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Dorsey will be busy until mid-February. Maybe schedule a nice Valentine's Day dinner together, but until then our guy is game planning. -
The more I think of it, the more I think Rodgers demanding such an insanely expensive contract was simply a power move. He's wanted out for a couple years but Green Bay is in this weird spot where they don't want to build around him and win but they don't want him going somewhere else either. It puts him in this position: let me go or pay me $50 million next year but I'm not retiring. IMO the Green Bay thing became deeply personal, and everyone dug in. MGT wanted Rodgers to retire and Rodgers wanted out. MGT refused because then they would go 3-14 while Rodgers played at an MVP level somewhere else. So, force the guy to retire instead was the strategy.

Chicago— New Stadium Renderings
TheFunPolice replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in The Stadium Wall
I was watching that thinking "is there a football field in there somewhere?" It's like a shopping mall and an airport had a baby -
It will be interesting to see which itch the refs scratch: their beloved Tommy or Dak and the boys

Lefleur should be fired. Between the Packers player walking in between the lines of scrimmage during the FG attempt and grabbing the ball from the center, and later another couple of players shoving Lions training staff it's like they were all on something. Totally out of control team that wasted some of the best seasons of Rodgers career

49ers over Seahawks: 49ers are the real deal Jaguars over Chargers: Trevor has really surprised me, and Peterson has ice water in his veins while Staley will do something to lose the game because of his Excel spreadsheets and contrarian attitude Bills over Dolphins: Bills are by far the better team Vikings over Giants: This is a tough one... Kirk Cousins is Kirk Cousins, which is bad for Kirk Cousins in the playoffs, but still. SKOL! Bengals over Ravens: Ravens are scrappy but Bengals are lethal. Burrow is the real freaking deal. Bucs over Cowboys: 1000%, lock solid, guarantee. Brady exists to torment souls and ruin Super Bowls, so he isn't going out to Dallas. In fact, this is all set up for the "their season was over, they were done, but THEN! Brady Magic!" garbage. Plus Dak looks like the housewives concussed him: laying there loopy, flipping tables... it's a joke in big D. Sean Payton is probably already shopping for houses in Dallas.

How is Skip Bayless employed as a sport analyst??
TheFunPolice replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Skip is a heel without any charm at all. Not many can pull that off for very long because it has to be exhausting. -
Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game
TheFunPolice replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Staley is holding back a top roster with his overly-cute "I do the opposite of everyone else" decisions. Some coaches can find a way to get a team with 8 wins worth of talent to 10 or 11. Staley is the opposite... he'll get your 12-14 win roster to 10-11 wins. And then he's supposed to get credit for "getting them to the playoffs" -
Do the Kansas City Chiefs deserve a bye week ?
TheFunPolice replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's just move on from this scheduling stuff. It is what it is. No asterisks, no whining. Line up, play, and the winning teams move to the next round and therefore deserve to advance. Whoever gets to and wins the Super Bowl deserves it and will have earned it. Execute a simple snap vs Minnesota or don't lose to Zach freaking Wilson and we're the #1 regardless of everything else. Bengals have the same type of what-ifs I'm sure. It's that simple. -
Dammit... We need the big man healthy
