  1. Liquidity is key Can't pay your mortgage with the car parked in the garage
  2. another possible scenario... Maybe Poyer is thinking out loud and has a few friends who share his observations. Here he is with a busted ribs, cracked bones sticking out of his collapsed lung, an elbow that looks like a broken drinking glass with his forearm hanging on by a few strips of flesh, driving himself to games so he can still play and be there for the team... All that and "sorry man, there's no money for you" Meanwhile, Tre (who got big time $$) is totally healthy but has "mental hurdles." MENTAL F-ing HURDLES! I could see that being an issue. Not saying it is, but I wouldn't be shocked.
  3. I don't think AB is mentally ill, I think he is just a bad person. Some people are selfish, destructive, abusive, and just plain suck and it's really that simple. Brady was his #1 supporter/booster and AB continually tears him apart after quitting on the team mid-game. The 1 guy who always had his back.
  4. I think the Cowboys are better than the Eagles and will win that division. Eagles need to run the ball and win the turnover battle. Things have to go right for them to win. Teams like that struggle when someone can possess the ball and score, especially if they turn it over themselves (see MNF)
  5. When you line up the giant people and just smash into each other, you are telling the other team the play beforehand. I would like to see a motion man come running across at the snap to make the defense at least think twice. OR With all the confusion of 22 enormous men packed into a tiny space for that play, have your QB line up under LG with the big player (the "pusher") slightly offset behind center. Snap the ball to the "pusher," have the QB surge forward like he's sneaking, and have the "pusher" throw to the Te who leaks into the flat. If it's not there throw it at the TE's feet.
  6. After further review, I'm sticking to my guess about McDermott being a taskmaster type but also trying to be a player's coach. Even up to his last year in NE, Brady NEVER made the call to go for it on 4th down. That was 100% Belichick. Brady was treated like a 7th round rookie even after 20 years there, which I'm not saying is good (he obviously got sick of it) but the HC is who he is: a mumbling, control freak grumpy guy who is always miserable. You know what to expect. and also, the decisions are his. Period. If Brady tried that I would expect Bill to call a timeout, tell "the QB" to sit his ass on the bench, and then punt the ball. There have been some clues that I've noticed that McDermott carries himself that way but isn't consistent, which is likely to cause problems. McKenzie was talking about the 13 seconds last winter on his YouTube show from whatever local restaurant he was in for it all season, and when asked about 13 seconds basically said it was McDermott's call and the team didn't know anything more than we do. He basically said something to the effect of coach made the call, and that's it. We're just players. No explanation owed, and none given. Clean out your lockers, have a good offseason and thanks for the effort. That why I was shocked when he resigned here. I thought for sure he was a goner, especially after those comments. He just seemed annoyed and ready to move on. If McD is a "my way or the highway" type with some players but not all (Allen) then I could see there being a real issue. Players are sort of hard wired to accept the miserable taskmaster HC, or the gregarious "you got the DAWG in ya!" type, but you can't go back and forth based on who you're talking to.
  7. the entire AFC East is currently in the playoffs
  8. there is a nasty (non-Covid) upper respiratory virus going around WNY lately. Ask any teacher you know and they will tell you.
  9. So many dumb plays in big moments. Smart > dumb. Still think Brady isn't going to the Super Bowl from this NFC?
  10. Eagles can't handle pressure. They have lived on turnovers and gotten every bounce. Overrated
  11. I had some hope for the Falcons but they really blew a great chance to have a solid lead
  12. Lol people think this Eagles team is going to beat Brady and the Bucs in a single elimination format? Totally overrated.
  13. Bienemy? LOL The sports media doesn't even try to pretend that KC is "his offense" anymore.
  14. I blame the coaches, because this keeps happening. We keep blowing leads or losing close games, and it is due to lack of detail. there seems to be a mentality of "we'll just get it back after" which has worked a lot, but isn't going to work against top teams so often.
  15. I was surprised to learn that even NFL teams have oranges and PBJ sandwiches in the locker room.
  16. IF there is anything to this, IMO it has to do with guys like Cook not getting chances and Tre White being said to be "not hurt" but also inactive. It makes Tre look bad, or at least, it could come across that way to a guy like Poyer who is walking around with cracked ribs and driving himself across the country to play in games and also not currently being paid the big $$. On that McKenzie restaurant show from last year after 13 seconds he strongly hinted that there were some issues. I was shocked that he was re-signed. IMO it comes down to McDermott being a soft taskmaster. Meaning, it his way or the highway but Josh can decide that we're not kicking a FG or not punting. You can be a player's coach or a taskmaster type but you can't really be both, which is where the digs from Beasley and Feliciano come in. that's my best guess.
  17. I'm starting to worry a bit about whether McDermott has control over things here. Sloppy, undisciplined football is becoming a theme. A lot of times were blowing teams out so it doesn't matter. But in big games you're going to play other great teams and cannot give them freebies
