  1. why would any top WR talent want to go to NE? Easily the worst team in the division, and probably the only one without a QB.
  2. The name is terrible. They should do a full on rebrand when new owners take over.
  3. Short answer? Yes
  4. I'm going to laugh when some day soon you can buy a bundle of all these streaming services in one place, making them like "channels" Bonus points for biannual pissing contents where Amazon or Netflix will threaten to disappear from your lineup due to disagreements with the carrier. In other words, cable without a cable.
  5. it's fascinating watching this shift to streaming... In the early days the streamers were loud and proud about how cheap it was. Now, once you add in all the different services, plus your high speed internet access you need to use these services, you end up basically right back where you were with cable. If only there was a service where you got all of these streaming platforms bundled together, for one price... In other words, what cable was, except through the internet. And just as expensive (or more) and very difficult if you live in a rural area where "high speed internet" connections are trash and getting cable isn't an option at any price. There was a little window where people gamed the system and found a way to get a la carte cable essentially and pay a fraction of the cost, but it was inevitable that the networks and content producers would close that gap, and they have/are. Unless you have a very narrow interest in one type of content, you are going to need multiple streaming services. As far as the NFL goes, turning down over $100M for ONE GAME would be financial malfeasance.
  6. Favre suing McAfee was such a weird and bad idea.
  7. make it a 3 year deal so we can get a steal for a couple seasons if it works out
  8. 6000 yards... well, someone is going to do it. Manning wasn't that far off when he set the single season record, and that's with being taken out of games late in the season for rest and only a 16 game season. The AFC is full of good QBs who will need to find a way into the playoffs. The way 6000 happens is a good QB on a contending team that has to go full-bore all 17 games to get into the playoffs. Normally I would say no way because anyone who has thrown for 5700+ is probably on a team with a great record and would sit week 17. But with the AFC the way it is, it's not crazy to think that someone like Allen, Mahomes, Burrow, or Jackson would need to play all 4 quarters of all 17 games just to make the wild card.
  9. Is this the guy who couldn't decide if he cared or not and would just shrug and jog to the bench while Brady tried to peel his mangled carcass off the turf after taking yet another sack/hit? One game I was watching Brady just laid there for like 10 seconds, probably cursing his decision to come back.
  10. I also noticed he seemed not as smooth and polished, especially as the night wore on. I just assumed he had a few pops backstage. Lots of refreshments at events like that. It's a big party.
  11. I absolutely love the pick!
  12. why are some guy's names bolded?
  13. I'd hate to be all logical and stuff, but if Mayer is obviously so much better then why didn't anyone else draft him? Every team could use a great TE. I'll freely admit that I don't know or watch college football, so the draft is just fun to watch for me but I have no rooting interest other than the Bills getting a guy the size of a Tesla at some point.
  14. I know almost nothing about college football and have never heard of this guy until tonight, but I was excited for the pick because of the whole "the league deserves what it gets for letting Kincaid play with Josh Allen" comment on NFL Network. So I'm happy with the pick! I would have also loved a 340+ pound DT but there is still time for that later in the draft!
  15. glad to see Lamar came off the guarantees, because really, once that deal is signed he gets paid either way unless they cut him or he agrees to take less in a restructure Only way they straight up cut him is if his career totally implodes, which I do not see happening. Thus, he's getting all that $$ whether it's guaranteed or not.
  16. the way these draft day rumors seem to go Hopkins will re-sign with Arizona for 7 years, 200 million.
  17. Getting Hopkins would be amazing! Diggs + Hopkins + Playoff Gabe?!
  18. I think a lot of it is just the enormous desire that Brady had to keep playing. Most have had their fill by age 40 but it was like Brady couldn't imagine doing anything else with his life. Peyton Manning would have kept playing until he was 45 also but his neck nerve issue made it impossible
  19. I've listened to a ton of fairly length Rodgers "interviews" between Pat McAfee and Aubrey Marcus. I just find the guy interesting, not that I agree with everything he says. I've never heard him talk before about playing "into his 40's" like he did yesterday. Given that, Rodgers will play 2-3 years in NY, IMO He probably gave some sort of assurance to the Jets that he would play at least 2 seasons. People keep saying he's 40. He's not. He JUST turned 39 on December 2. So, he'll be 39 (2023) for most of this season, and 40 most of next season (2024). All the drama in Green Bay probably affected his desire to play a bit.
  20. so it's become clear that Rex's hear and soul was always with the Jets. It would be like if one of us was HC of the Bills after a lifetime of working towards it, did the best we could, and after a handful of years got fired and immediately became the HC of the Patriots or Dolphins a few weeks later.
  21. it makes the Jets games a lot more interesting, and generally makes for a better story, so I'm excited for it Either way, to be the best you've got to beat the best, and also, either way you play 2-3 playoffs games to get to the Super Bowl. There won't be cupcakes, but you also don't have to play every good team back to back to get there. In fact, if the Bills can get the #1 seed finally then it's a bye week, play the lowest seed left and suddenly you're in the AFC Title game at home.
  22. basically it's a 2nd in 2023 and a 1st in 2024 with some window dressing tossed in IMO Rodgers made some sort of commitment behind the scenes that he would play 2 years. It'll come out I'll bet (and be denied by all)
  23. honestly I never thought of Craig...
