  1. I do love the coaching staff overall, but they seem very hesitant to play their draft picks.
  2. Brady wanted to go there before...
  3. to me, here's the craziest part: You don't have to be too creative with the ESPN playoff machine to get the Steelers into the playoffs with this Raiders loss If Miami beats the Chargers on SNF and the Steelers beat the Lamar-less Ravens, the race is truly on for the 7 seed
  4. I like Frazier. Smart, intense, good with X's and O's. He checks every box for a HC: Speaks very well, and in a way that commands attention. Great with X's and O's Former player on an all-time great D. If not for suffering a devastating knee injury in the SB who knows how far he would have gone in terms of his playing career. I didn't realize how good his stats were (20 INT in 65 games) and how horrific his career ending knee injury was: ACL, PCL, MLC AND a broken bone in the knee?! Holy crap. Tons of experience in the league 2 SB rings, 1 as a player and 1 as a coach. He deserves another shot. He gets way too much flak from Bills fans. I just hope that he gets a real shot, and not the Texans job, which is a revolving door.
  5. Shakir has the burden of being one of this regime's draft picks. They seem to be allergic to actually playing their draft picks
  6. This sounds like me after every Brady comeback. IF the scrawny old man gets credit for beating the 4-9 Saints prevent defense (with a well timed DPI, of course!), then Baker gets credit. BAKER MAGIC! IF Baker puts some good film together, I wonder if the Rams might trade Stafford to try to recoup a pick?
  7. I have always been a bit lukewarm to this, but the more I hear the more I agree with the Cowboys player. I'm interested in the Superbowl not a circus. IF he can come in and contribute to THIS PLAYOFF PUSH then fine, but I have ZERO interest in signing him long term given his injury history with that knee. He'll be 31 next season having torn the same ACL twice. How effective will he be? Instead, let's draft one of the seemingly endless pool of rookie WR every draft, have a guy who is 22 with fresh ACLs, and comes cheaply so that we can re-sign Poyer, who plays with his elbow being held together by duct tape.
  8. So strange how this happens every game.
  9. Raiders have a decent shot at being the #7 seed imo
  10. Stafford might retire due to injury
  11. We could really use him, as he is a quality WR over the middle
  12. We are lucky to have him here. IMO he is good, with a chance to be great. There is so much bad coaching in the league... teams literally beat themselves doing dumb things every week. Often, they are saved by the other team also doing dumb things to beat themselves. McDermott makes the right call most of the time, and he is still young for a coach and improving.
  13. Brady hasn't been very good this year and will NOT take a hit. Any pressure he chucks the ball forward. Saints RB stays in bounds OR they don't play prevent defense and he loses to a 4-8 team at home while scoring (maybe) 1 garbage time TD. The fact that he is top 5 in passing yards is due 100% to the fact that Tampa cannot and will not run the ball. They have one of the worst offenses in the league in every category. They don't score points. Almost every one of their yards that they do have is passing. They are 6-6, and most of that is due to playing in the worst division in football by a mile.
  14. absolutely not! it's already too much, and an 8th team would mean even more bad teams in the tournament
  15. As much as I hate agreeing with Brady, he was right about that super Bowl. The Philly defense made ONE PLAY all game. It was the offense that won the game for the Eagles by scoring lots of points.
  16. We have enough major players with ACL issues.
  17. Good lord... Can we ever catch a freaking break?
  18. If they say 7 weeks there's an outside chance it could be 6 too. Probably tough to say exactly at this point. But I agree... him facing off against those pass rushes could be bad news. But we also don't know how Purdy will fare. Guy is standing in and delivering, but that's what gets guys hurt too. He might not make it to the playoffs himself. He took some serious shots vs the Dolphins.
  19. That's a HUGE psychological boost for SF. They will have their starting QB back for the playoff run. No matter what they say, these guys are human. Going from SB favorite to "we believe in our rookie 7th rounder" had to suck mentally. Totally different now. Now it's just a typical injury. Jimmy G is out, but he will be back, so next man up and find a way, and get him back for the big games. Come to think of it, this type of thing has happened a few times this season, where a player is "done for the year" then a few days later it's a handful of weeks, or even fewer.
  20. that's been a pattern, although it was worse that year... PITA for farmers, especially fruit orchards around here, when everything wakes up in March only to face winter in April
