    Both Ryans and Pierce are defensive minded guys, so hopefully their success helps coaches on that side of the ball get a fair shake for HC gigs. Defense has played very well league wide this season after it was assumed that you didn't really need a good defensive coach and offense was all that mattered.

    the penalty being 1 of 2 for ejection is stupid. So a big ole tub of goo can drop his 350 pound body on top of a QB after the throw and it's roughing the passer, 15 yards, but not 1/2 toward ejection from the game. but POINT at a guy? You're one over zealous ref from taking an early shower.

    is it too late to pay him $500,000 per sack after he hits the incentive number? I have no issue with it. Players get told "it's a business" every offseason.
