  1. That looked terrible right away the way he landed and twisted Hope the guy is ok
  2. Love this signing! Huge, angry dude at DT. Makes me smile.
  3. Let's get some good young QBs into the NFC
  4. Purdy has turned into a pumpkin. Poor guy never even got to make any money.
  5. I sort of like Hussey's "nah nah nah nah" way of announcing penalties
  6. Lol Al Michaels already apologizing for next week's game
  7. I just can't get over the fact that Levis drinks mayonnaise.
  8. why would Bill agree to be traded? I get why NE would prefer that. They get to control where he goes, do the whole "we don't want you but we also don't want you to succeed somewhere that might hurt us" dance. If any coach has earned the right to either stay or decide his next landing spot it's Belichick. That said, maybe he wants to go to Washington for some reason and the Patriots are happy to help make that happen, so they sign him to a massive contract to ensure he is taken care of if it doesn't go well there. I assume the contract comes with him if there is a trade.
  9. I always liked Elam, so I'm good with it, just shocked since they seem determined that he is not going to play
  10. for both of these injuries I would worry that the players would be healthy enough to play but would have lost significant strength in key areas while they were healing that they wouldn't be able to recover in that period of time. Next season, sure, but they have to heal AND also get leg strength/pec strength back to be effective. I would think that pec strength for a DL is huge, with all the pushing off of guys to break blocks.
  11. After reading his bio from the Bills I'm an even bigger fan Benford and Jackson have been doing pretty well and we have our safeties. Douglas will be a nice player for the defense and didn't cost a ton. I'm shocked Elam is still here, so MAYBE he flashes when given a chance (if that ever occurs) and suddenly we have a room full of solid CBs.
  12. seems like a pretty good trade deadline type move solid CB who can play and has another year on his deal
  13. I'm so used to weekly, in-depth updates on Rodgers achilles accompanied by regular social media posts that hearing nothing at all about injuries to major players on the team is strange. Jones did post on Instagram a picture of him at the Tampa game wearing a shoulder sling, so that's something I guess.
  14. Bad news: Gabe Freaking Davis only shows up in huge games. It's Gabe's unstoppable alter ego. Good news: this is a huge game!
  15. Wow! I was just typing that we've seen this movie just a few days ago
  16. Lots of X rumors about Lions trading for Maxx Crosby for some reason.
  17. Yikes... Lions about to move into the #2 seed in the NFC
  18. Jimmy G looks like an old guy who looks younger than you think he is.
  19. I wonder if McDaniels gets the Mike Mularkey WTF 3rd HC job?
  20. Dorsey just tore his knee Edit: hopefully he's ok but that looked nasty
  21. Twitter doesn't even exist anymore X does. Therefore: who knows...
  22. exactly! Why not Seattle? Until Detroit (who Seattle has beaten twice in a row) proves the Lions are for real, it's Eagles, then everyone else in the NFC. All it takes is a bad snap or a timely fumble in some winter weather in January in a close playoff game and suddenly the Eagles lose 17-14 or something and it's wide open.
  23. Bengals are a tough matchup for us. the NFL is all about how teams match up. That's why Team A can blow out Team B one week then Team B wins the next week and Team A scores 10 points. For whatever reason, the Bengals players and schemes are tough for us to deal with. We match up well with the Dolphins, but the Bengals stifle us and seem to move the ball at will. Same with the Chiefs and Bengals. YET the Browns basically always beat the Bengals, and usually it's not close. Hopefully this Sunday we find the answer.
  24. I predict very few trades before the deadline but I hope I'm wrong. Bears should be sellers. Imagine that would be the #1 landing spot for the next highly sought after HC this winter. Tons of picks and cap $$, probably 2 picks in the top 5. Easier division overall. Classic franchise that has been down for a while but if YOU turn it around...
  25. If you make that 2nd round pick next spring you almost certainly don't have a player of that quality on your roster in 2024. This way you get him for 2023 and all the dead cap stays behind, so you can trade or cut him without penalty at all.
