  1. Myles Garrett to NE is a crazy sounding rumor out there. I don't get how it would be possible for the Browns.
  2. Major difference: there is almost never an opening with an established MVP, future HOF level QB in his prime. The Bills would have the pick of any available coach. Barring injuries, MVP level QBs in the prime don't play on teams with Sabres like results.
  3. Oh give me a break. This offense is operating like it's the drought era. One thing is for sure: it will be the talk on national sports media if things don't improve that Allen doesn't have weapons to throw to and the Bills are wasting his prime years That's already being said here and there. It will get louder if the passing game doesn't improve. Not that any of that matters, mind you. But it will become a narrative. If there wasn't an emotional "stand up for the team" incentive and we were all Rams fans in LA or something it would be more obvious. You only get so many years with a generational QB in his prime
  4. Allen is eventually going to get frustrated with this setup Imagine having a top 2 QB in the league and building your offense around limiting his impact on the game
  5. Sal C on WGR this morning was basically hinting at the idea that McDermott wants more in the passing game and Joe Brady seems to think it is ok. I sort of believe that. I've always thought McDermott wants Josh to be Josh, just only when needed so he is healthy for the playoffs.
  6. All this talk about the Wild Card race leaves out the fact that because of scheduling weirdness these teams in the hunt will all be playing each other in the coming weeks, sometimes twice. For example, Jags still have the Colts twice, the Broncos and the Chargers. All these teams won't be able to have 2-3 losses for long.
  7. Jaguars have a tough road coming up.. Colts twice Broncos Chargers A lot could hinge on those games. Chiefs sort of win either way there. If the Jags beat the Broncos and Chargers that's obviously good for then, but if the Jags lose those games then the Wild Card opens up.
  8. every year we say "a 10 or 11 win team will be left out" and by the end there's a 9-8 team as the 7 seed.
  9. I think your 3 wildcards will be 2 teams from the West and one from the East. Jags will battle with whoever the 3rd AFC West team is and maybe the 2nd place North team for the 7th spot. As of today, I predict: AFC East Winner: Bills (sorry, I know Drake Maye is already the next Brady or better but I don't buy it yet) AFC North Winner: Steelers (I am moving away from the Bengals because of that horrific defense. It's all time bad.) AFC West Winner: Broncos. (They are really good I think) AFC South Winner: Colts (they could be a real threat. Solid on the lines, good QB play, solid coaching. That's reproducible) Wildcards: Chiefs (5 seed), Patriots (6 seed), Chargers (7 seed) In the hunt: Jaguars, Ravens, maybe Bengals because with Burrow they can score on every drive so they have a shot in any game Don't forget there are a lot of "we win either way" games coming up: Patriots/Bengals and Patriots/Ravens: either the Patriots put those teams down for good or those teams get the Patriots some more losses, putting us in control of the division if we win there Ravens play both the Bengals and Steelers twice still, so there's a lot of AFC North losses to go round there and keep the team that doesn't win that division out of the Wild Card. Bengals or Ravens will knock the other team out. Bonus: Lots of people were bummed the Eagles game was so late... It wouldn't mean anything. Well, it is almost 100% certain to mean a ton to both the Eagles and the Bills, given the Lions and Packers record and level of play and the crazy AFC race. Finally, the red helmet game. It could very well be win and we win the East, lose and we play as a wildcard.
  10. If we get Dexter Lawrence I will literally cry tears of joy
  11. we are going to smoke these guys. Bills will win by 10+ and everyone nationally will do the "yeah but" thing, which means nothing right now because there is no guarantee we even play them in the playoffs.
  12. If we could somehow swing a trade for one of the Saints WR to add to that room then we're talking. Palmer, Davis, Shakir, Saints WR 3 three TE Cook That's a nice offense to go into the stretch run
  13. We have Josh Allen and we struggle to throw the ball or do not want to throw the ball. I think McDermott is actually fine with Josh being Josh, but is trying to keep him healthy and fresh for the playoffs, which I understand and it makes sense. It happened even in the opener. We played McDermott ball until we had to have Josh put the cape on. I think it makes a lot of sense, and McDermott is trying to avoid a repeat of Cam Newton. Some people forget just how superhuman he seemed in his prime. He was an absolute superstar. Then, basically overnight he couldn't do anything anymore because of injury. It feels like he hasn't played in forever and he's only 36. So, all that being said, this is why I am OK with McDermott, although I wouldn't hate to see a change. I would much rather have him than many of the other names mentioned here. I would absolutely move on from Beane if things don't go the way we want this season. It's a way to shake things up and send a message that the goal is not being met. I actually think McDermott has shown the ability to adapt and learn, and I think he would do even better with a GM who gives him better players.
  14. I really liked Gabe Davis here and I'm excited for his return. Still, we need another WR to go with him and Shakir.
  15. Chiefs defender did a great job not taking himself out of the sack there You often see guys fly in unblocked but run right past the QB
  16. What a catch! I thought for sure he was out of bounds
  17. Now the video feed goes black mid play so we can't see the KC hold
