Pats can keep their rings; I'll take the Bills
TroutDog replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based on this statement, I agree with you, Shaw. I’ve vacillated on whether to respond or not. I have zero desire to root for an organization that openly believes cheating is ok (which the Pats have proven they are). I would much rather cheer for a team that is headed by an upstanding GM, HC and owner. I would NEVER want asterisks next to our wins. I am a disabled veteran and learned early in life that honor and commitment don’t come cheap. Is there a chance we’ll have to wait a few more years to get to the promised land doing it the honest way? Sure...and I’m ok waiting for it and screaming my head off every game, regardless of the game having meaning late in the season or not. I was at SBXXV and it broke my heart. But doing it the right way is still of the utmost importance. The Pats do indeed have the GOAT QB and HC but they still wanted MORE and were willing to do anything to go a step further. No thanks. Thank you for starting this dialogue. It’s been a good conversation. ? -
Giants writer has great analysis of Allen first game

I think back to JK. Almost 5% of his passes were INT’s his first year and more than TD’s. Drove me nuts but led to incredible things! -
Ty Neskhe’s Untold Story: From Behind Bars to the Bills
TroutDog replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Impressive read. It bodes ominously for the people who beat the drums to simply throw other humans away. This is a story that paints the picture of change being very possible...and transformative (to many thousands of people). -
Buffalo Bills to start 4-0, says NFL columnist
TroutDog replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For your latter portion, I believe it wise to never base a team on their first few games, particularly O and even more so when a unit has so many new moving parts. I am not saying we’ll beat the *Pats but I think we’ll be 3-0 when we meet and It’ll be interesting! -

A Few Thoughts About the Jets Game, in no particular order
TroutDog replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Jests, everyone knew, had a suspect secondary. That is why he called that game plan. Typically I enjoy your write-ups but we don’t seem to have been watching the same game today. Milano was flying all over. Josh certainly had issues but threw 65% and for 254. A number of the turnovers weren’t completely on him. Is he leading his receivers enough? Nope. But he is still a QB who has NEVER had a QB coach until THIS YEAR. McD coaches a fine game given how the plays played out. Thats all. ? -
Are we concerned about Beasley’s hands ?
TroutDog replied to Teddy KGB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The best wide outs have drops. That’s reality. -
Yup, but that was a far more complete team. The Jests? Not so much.

I don’t understand this thread. Seriously? The one that was a pick six was thrown a little off and the thirty yarder would have been a phenomenal catch. Truly difficult. Can we concentrate on the positives after a division win on the ROAD???? -
I didn’t know Freddie was doing a post game show for the Bills, but he is. During that they had Josh on and he specifically said that him being out was a big deal.

9/8 Bills at Jets Second Half Thread
TroutDog replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Their secondary is suspect and Daboll was trying to exploit it, in my opinion. Their D line is solid. A long ball would have been good to open up the run game earlier. -

Who Will Score the First Bills TD of 2019?
TroutDog replied to WickedGame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went with Brown. With the Jests suspect secondary, it’ll be on a 40+ yard play from Josh. ? -
What this Bills season is all about & nobody says it!
TroutDog replied to PUNT750's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mods need to get this under control, in my opinion. Rants like this post are crazy and water down the value of the board. -
I believe that’s in relation to viewers and fantasy, not necessarily success. With Dallas as an example, please paying a RB, QB and WR exorbitant salaries restricts a teams ability to build around them. Personally, I like the way Beane is building this team. It may not be fast enough for most fans but the end result should be.

Homemade wings. Pre baked in oven at very low temp (200) for four hours and then smoked for another hour. Numerous homemade sauces...and BLEU CHEESE ?

Quote: Buffalo Bills The worry: Buffalo might not have the explosive playmakers to take the next step. “People talk about Josh Allen’s accuracy and that will be the top concern if he winds up being Blake Bortles as a passer on third down. I wonder if they have the horses overall. You root for them because they do it the right way, but where is the big-play flair, the explosive, big-play home-run guy both offensively and defensively? They have a lot of lunch-pail-type guys who work hard, are smart, but might not get you over the hump to, say, 10-plus wins.” https://theathletic.com/1180817/2019/09/03/nfl-execs-on-what-all-32-teams-should-worry-about-entering-the-season/ This falls in line with the ‘not having big names’ argument. I don’t buy it. The biggest concern to me this year is Josh’s continued improvement.
