My first game at the Ralph since 1995 this Sunday
TroutDog replied to SuperBills12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you’re on Club seats, you can go last minute. For GA, I’d wrap it up at 12:15 and expect terrible lines with the occasional fans vomiting at your feet (always special). Other than that, enjoy the atmosphere and scream as loud as you can during the game!!!! -
Will Bill Belichick Target Tremaine Edmunds Again?
TroutDog replied to Phil The Thrill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Whatever they think BB is going to do, he will do something different. He always finds the weaknesses and attacks them mercilessly. -
I think what’s missed is that the constant new threads that are already being discussed elsewhere makes some of the valuable threads harder to find, thus limiting discussion. A quick scan would have shown that Teams is already being discussed on the board.

I think back to Kelly’s first couple years here and he did the same (and had the benefit of playing in the USFL for two years prior). I believe Josh will mature in the same manner.

Josh is a great leader which bodes really well for the future. I also love how he has such an even keel...although he did seem a little frazzled in that game with the intentional grounding and the pick. Overall, however, he seems well grounded. Love the kid!

It was literally discussed and showed during the broadcast and he was already out of position to make a stop. Given that, we can agree to disagree.

That hold had no impact on the run. As Tasker said on One Bills Live yesterday, our poor punting is costing us a minimum of ten yards per drive. The opponent doesn’t have this ‘penalty’ so out O is always having to go an additional ten yards. Must get this fixed.

Sando’s Pick Six: Great news for two veteran legend QBs; great starts for a few young QBs; ranking the 3-0 teams https://theathletic.com/1233431/2019/09/23/sandos-pick-six-great-news-for-two-veteran-legend-qbs-great-starts-for-a-few-young-qbs-ranking-the-3-0-teams/ This reinforces what I’ve been thinking: Beane and McDermott are building this team properly. Quote: ”First, a little primer on how NFL teams think. The teams without upper-tier quarterbacks stress over whether they can build strong enough defenses to win anyway. Teams know intuitively what the numbers scream — that everybody wins when the opponent has a hard time scoring. Rodgers and Brady have a combined 89-4 record over the past decade, including 6-0 this season, when the opposing team fails to reach 17 points. But here’s the thing: Cousins, Tannehill and Stanton are 44-1 in those games. You can see where this is leading.” And another: ”Still, the implications are worth considering now. Neither team has allowed more than 16 points in a game this season. Teams have won 87 percent of the time over the past decade when their opponents failed to reach 17 points. Teams with top quarterbacks win nearly all those games. Consider the case of Drew Brees. His New Orleans Saints have allowed 23.5 points per game over his 13 previous seasons. They are 82-30 with a Super Bowl title in the years when they allowed fewer than that 23.5 average. They are 43-53 in the seasons when they allowed more (sometimes much, much more).” The author did list Josh as the last rated of undefeated QB’s: ”Bills: It’s easy to trust the process in Buffalo, but do you trust Josh Allen to protect the football? The wild interception Allen threw midway through the third quarter against Cincinnati during Sunday’s 21-17 win over the Bengals was straight from the Jameis Winston call sheet. Allen was retreating nearly 20 yards behind the line of scrimmage in Bills territory, his team leading 14-0, when he served up the football to Bengals corner Darius Phillips. That visual was tough to shake. That said, the Bills are 3-0 after facing the Jets, Giants and Bengals.”

I view Josh as more similar to Jim Kelly than Favre. JK was a turnover machine during his first couple of years with the Bills. The throws over the middle on the final drive that ended up as INT’s drove me bonkers. Josh has the same LB mentality and the insane arm. He will learn as he progresses. I love Josh and wouldn’t want any other QB leading this team moving forward. He gets ‘us’ and he’s a threat on multiple levels. GO BILLS!

[Vague Title] Make this happen Bills!!!!!
TroutDog replied to Bleedingreennc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed! So sick of the evil empire. I do have faith in our team and our coaches so, at the very least, we should make it an entertaining game! -
McDermott takes it to another level again!

Nope, 100% chihuahua and really my daughters dog. 9 pounds of pure masculinity...much like where McDermott patted! ? If memory serves, this was in the first half. Perhaps after his dropped pass? Not positive but I think that’s when it was. -

It’s so disturbing! What was he thinking???? I love McDermott but man! Ha! You’re a gambler with that post!!! ? -

I sat there and said to my dog Frank, “Did you just see that?” Absolutely crazy! And Frank saw it, too. ? -
Harrison Phillips having knee evaluated
TroutDog replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has turned his game up so much. Star isn’t cutting it, in my opinion, so I’m hoping this is just a minor strain. -
So he took us to the postseason during his first year. Now, as it was pointed out yesterday in the game thread, he has moved on from the ‘butt pat’ to the ‘junk pat’. He’s a true innovator!!! ?

Thoughts on the number of Josh Allen QB design runs
TroutDog replied to Patrick Duffy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh averaged over 5 yards per carry today and kept their D true. Again, it’s a gamble but when do we begin to trust the coaches instead of thinking arm chair QB’s (us) know more. Food for thought. -
Because it’s me thinking about the future of a very young team. No need to participate if you thing it’s not worth while. Thats easy. ?
