  1. I remember him doing that (clearing the cobwebs), too! I’m glad you brought this up as it would explain a bunch regarding his play and makes perfect sense. What also fits is that Josh, I don’t believe, would EVER take himself out of a game. Just too much of a player to do so. I saw it on the broadcast.
  2. I voted no but would love it if he did! i think he’s happy to be done.
  3. Like Favre said in the article, it’s going to take some time for him to realize all of this. Josh has always been able to impose his will with the football and it’s different at this level (obviously). He may need to learn it on his own (if he hasn’t already after this game).
  4. Agreed. Completely different QB now. Still dangerous from his knowledge but not the same as he used to be. Makes me wonder what BB will do when TB hangs them up.
  5. It’s a testament to who the Pats* are. There is no reason to hit a guy in the back like that. Pathetic. Edit: legal or illegal, it’s wrong to hit a guy in the back. There’s a reason that rule exists. For a QB, particularly, it seems inherently scummy.
  6. That catch he made this week was INSANELY hard. To be able to track the ball while having to turn back the other way (and falling!) was a sight to behold. Love the kid, his tenacity and pass catching ability!
  7. I don’t believe I showed any outrage. Just frustrating to see the way we’re owning him and him not giving props.
  8. Didn’t hear that. Glad he did it but, in my opinion, it would have been good to share in this interview as well because our D was stellar. Thank you for letting me know.
  9. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/27735840/brady-allen-hit-risks-involved-running I would think that, at least, he mention them. Quote: "We got off to a good start, which was great. But we really didn't do much after that. We just never really could find our rhythm," he said. "We have to figure out what we can do well. We have to figure out the things we have to throw out that we're not doing a good job of and that probably won't work. Because every year your team changes and so forth. Sometimes you try certain things because you think they are going to work and they don't. Or you build on things.”
  10. More human nature than conspiracy theory. The team that is seen as the best just gets the calls. Given that most are judgement based, the league doesn’t step on the toes of its officials lest they undermine them.
  11. The REAL test is over the next 12 weeks and the one following.
  12. Don’t miss him but our line is still an issue. With Ty hurt, it’s not looking great for whoever our QB is.
  13. Yup. I love to listen to OBL but the number of ads is painful.
  14. Yup, Josh’s footwork was horrendous and it cost him and the team.
  15. It actually turned overall positive with most callers understanding that it was just one game and we held our own against the world champions. Sal hammered the guy who said Josh was sulking. ? I’m mostly positive, too. The loss sucks but that’s what BB does to young QB’s. In addition, as I’ve stated elsewhere, I think Josh allowed them into his head in the lead up to the game.
  16. Not sure if I understand this. Barkley left a lot on the field yesterday, too. I’ll take Josh over him every time. I think that, while they said all the right things in the lead up to last week (just another game), the reality is they knew the gravity of that game. That, I suspect, got into Josh’s head. Just my opinion.
  17. What an incredible pickup he was! Such a shame that so many have trashed him here in weeks 1-3. He is a gamer, a true professional and he still has fuel in the tank.
  18. Doesn’t make sense? Watch the replay. All the talk is that Josh lowered his head. Simply not true: he was already being tackled. If you know Josh, you know he is going to lay it all on the line to move the chains/win the game. There was ZERO need for that hit and if you can’t see that then I’m not sure why you’re even here.
  19. I agree completely. The Pats* knew of Josh’s comebacks and wanted to remove him from the equation. They succeeded and the league let them.
  20. Mods: didn’t see the other ‘hit post’ when I started this. Apologies.
  21. https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2019/09/29/josh-allen-injury-hit-helmet-micah-hyde-postgame-ejected-tom-brady-nfl-protect-quarterbacks/3814367002/ Quote: "That's the first thing that came out of my mouth on the sideline: If one of us did that to 12, we wouldn't have been in the game anymore," Hyde told reporters after the game. There's no way. There's no way we would've continued to play in that game." This isn't the first gripe this year from a Brady opponent calling out the referees. In Week 2, Miami Dolphins linebacker Raekwon McMillan said a referee told him to "stay off Tom" Brady after a legal hit.
  22. Good Lord this is ridiculous. In the immortal words of Lawrence Taylor, “Don’t. Smoke. Crack.”
  23. If you’d have watched since he’s first started and as he progressed you’d know that answer to this.
