  1. Just read/watched this. Great explanations of the plays and video/picture proof of how strong our O line is against a strong D front. I’m hoping Daboll follows this plan until someone proves they can stop it.
  2. The reality is everyone knew Josh was a project. As I’ve stated before, he went to a small HS, JUCO and then a small D1 school. That’s simply reality. Transitioning to the NFL speed and players level takes time. Given those things, his trajectory has been nothing short of impressive. Should you want to minimize that, so be it.
  3. I find this intriguing since neither the 9ers or the Pats have played ‘anyone’, either. They are the only other teams with opposition win percentage below .400. Personally, I like this team and LOVE the management and coaching. I’m enjoying being a Bills fan again and, while understanding the current flaws, appreciate the very intended trajectory.
  4. Ah, the elusive @Kirby Jackson sighting on TBD! I agree, it’s fantastic. I am almost a year into treatment and, to be frank, it blows. With that being said, any time I see someone connected to cancer getting a win I cheer. I hope we all cheer for him and their family.
  5. OK, agree to disagree. Gore is not one known for his ‘burst’, but for tough running. If there’s no daylight, there’s no daylight. He hit the whole like he always does from what I saw...there just wasn’t a whole.
  6. Did he look old or was the line to blame? Seems like the latter to me.
  7. Thanks for sharing what I’m not seeing...greatly appreciated! ? I am seeing reality and know the Bills have shortcomings. I also know that, looking at the long game this regime is playing, that we are on the correct trajectory. That doesn’t mean I seek to minimize what they are doing NOW. That’s what I see and am willing to wait for the new Bills EMPIRE!
  8. One game at a time. If the posters here were GB fans, they would say Aaron Rodgers is the worst QB ever, the OC sucks and the team will go nowhere based on today’s game. All teams have bad games. It’s just a reality. I trust McD will have the guys ready for each of those games but it’s a week to week league. With that being said, I would love to come out of that 2-1.
  9. In an article from the Athletic talking to Lee Evans (Q&A: Lee Evans on his favorite Bills memories and how this team can avoid a 2008-like finish ): People are saying that the Bills might be a paper tiger and that they are not as good as their record indicates. What do you see with this team? Ha. I see a team winning games. It doesn’t really matter who you’re playing. You have to play who’s in front of you and play up to your capability. But I think what they have now — I mean, they certainly have a good young core of talent that is playing well together. And they have some veterans at key positions, guys like Frank Gore. They have veterans who can keep the guys who’ve never been through it, keep them going. From the years that we were there, when I first got there, there was a lot of veteran leadership. But I think they have a good mix of both now, and I think that makes a big difference.
  10. Agreed, Joe! Are we championship caliber now? I don’t think so but this team is, and have been, on a specific trajectory since McD and Beane arrived. With next years draft being heavy in WR’s, the final pieces should fall into place. When rebuilding a franchise we, as fans, need to look at the long game, in my opinion. Pretty easy to see who does around here. ?
  11. Thank you!!!! All the negativity for a 6-2 team is mind boggling. If the O doesn’t score or get a first on every play the sky is falling. Crazy. Personally, I’m enjoying the games (save last week) and loving our record and the team.
  12. LOUD NOISES!!!!!!! This is silly and could have been posted in the postgame thread. Gore has been great all year and since we only won by 15 you want to complain? Give me a break.
  13. All the negativity here and we’re up 17-3.
  14. I thought the series was good until the red zone.
  15. If we can finally play a full game like this it will be a blowout. Yes
  16. It would certainly keep games closer and higher scoring but I like the way the rule is now.
  17. Been a fan since the end of OJ and Ferguson. I left WNY for 20 years and followed them almost the entire time (save when I was deployed). I no longer allow a loss to own me. Frustrated? Sure, but also always look at the big picture (read: 5-2 right now...that’s good regardless of last weeks outcome). Watching and reading about the Bills is something I love to do and I am, and have always been, a Bills fan through and through.
  18. I agree it was a stupid question but he’s supposed to be a professional and he should conduct himself in that manner, in my opinion. That wasn’t it. ?
  19. Just goes to show you that the discussion prior to the year is straight up guess work designed to get clicks. Bills were written off and the Jests were lifted. Can you say big market preference??
  20. I agree wholeheartedly. I’m glad we didn’t mortgage any of the future...particularly for a half year rental on an old WR who hasn’t even played this year. While I differ on Daboll, I agree with all else (look who he had to work with in Cleveland that year). I believe as Josh progresses, it will all come together. Does Daboll have room to improve? Of course, but overall I’m pleased with the play calling. THANK YOU for posting something rational!! ?
  21. Strange since Oliver has been rated very highly in PFF. He also passes the eye test the vast majority of time.
  22. I grasp the logic you’re trying to lay out but you can’t look at it based solely on the Bills history, you have to look at league history for the second round. Not to be rude but your argument is weak and not thought through in my opinion.
