Is Josh Allen A Good Quarterback??? (Good Film Breakdown)
TroutDog replied to Scorp83's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Grades from CBS for Josh’s draft class bode well for the future: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/grading-nfls-next-generation-of-quarterbacks-lamar-jackson-josh-allen-finish-with-highest-marks/ -
Conservative play calling will get you beat
TroutDog replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this and hope they are part of a rhythm passing attack as opposed to 30+ at the outset. Let Josh settle down. -
Your story about your Bills Fan berth year
TroutDog replied to fansince88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Since I was a kid...called them my favorite team from about ‘77 but started seriously watching in ‘82. Went to the 2-14 year versus the Cowboys when Cribbs ran 80 yards on the first play from scrimmage. After I moved south, I got the ticket to watch and now I’m back in the ROC cheering a little closer. ? I was at that game. Ouch. -
I can appreciate this but believe there’s more to it than this, in my opinion. He needs to see what the guys can handle from a mental standpoint in addition to changing game plan game by game. Lastly, as I mentioned previously, there was basically zero continuity from last year to this including having missing pieces which we are all aware of. It takes time. Now, I have SERIOUS reservations about Daboll but I struggle with the fact that we are a 10 win team and screwing with continuity with a young QB makes me nervous for the future. There’s a tremendous amount riding on Josh and I’d like to see the apple cart have some stability.

I’d certainly understand the need for next year to show radical improvement but tomorrow may be a stretch. Lastly, when looking at his OC tenure, I think it’s important to look at the players he had: not much in any stop...and this year there are shortages that have been listed on this board ad nauseum. I appreciate your perspective, I just choose to look at the positive side: 10 wins. ?

NFL Attendance Hits a 15-Year Low
TroutDog replied to OldTimeAFLGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a shame. I’d be there in a heartbeat if I could but health keeps me away once it gets too cold. My daughter went to the Jets game and HATED it. Even in clubs it was too much. I will keep going when I can and support them via team clothes and ask you all to pick up my slack! ? -
I get it that you don’t like McD or Daboll from your comments. That is certainly your prerogative. I, however, appreciate a ten (would have been eleven) win season. Comparing an O to a D is a slippery slope. Rex’s D was not only insanely complex but also required a certain type of player that fit his scheme in multiple areas. It’s not a decent comparison to what Daboll is doing, in my opinion. (See the games where we scored more than 20 this year and are 7-0 in those games.) Asking younger personnel to do more than they can has, for eons, been how to separate people who ‘are willing’ from people who ‘aren’t willing’. I trust this regime and McD to grow each year. They are working a designed path and I am enjoying it.

WGR Radio.com App Is Garbage
TroutDog replied to HereComesTheReignAgain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is a very bad app. I wait and listen on rewind so I can skip the incessant commercials. As mentioned above, when it glitches you have to kill it and reopen. They spent tons on designing that app! ? -
Love it. You can make the argument that he’s putting the cart before the horse and should have dumbed it down but you can’t argue that the Bills are in the playoffs and won 10 games...and could have won 11. Daboll is a hard read for me but I default back to the fact that he’s in the room every day with these guys and they love him. That speaks volumes to me. PS: thanks for posting as I don’t get the B-Lo News!

Freebird: Return of the Buffalo Bills (great hype video)

I love this. This organization has come LIGHT YEARS in the recent past and it shows on the field, the marketing, coaching and players play AND conduct. Forward we go! -
Potential Bills WR scouting heaven in the Citrus Bowl today
TroutDog replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in College Football
I don’t think so as he was hurt most of previous year as well. He is still saying he wants to stay a Bengal but I find it hard to believe. He has been hurt on and off for the last five years...still some great years but doesn’t bode well for the future as he ages. -

Why anyone wants AJ Green after all of his injuries is beyond me. This has been going on all year and hasn’t subsided regardless of the fact that he basically didn’t play. -

Their has been one crime to this very good season.
TroutDog replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First, I’m a Bama fan. Yeldon’s fumbling is NOT blown out of proportion. https://247sports.com/college/alabama/Board/116/Contents/Career-Fumble-StatsInteresting-28220168/ In addition, people show his stats and that is fumbles LOST unless both are listed. He has ALWAYS had an issue with ball security. I’d love to see him on the field as he can be electric. The problem with that is he sometimes shocks the ball right out of his hands...and this O doesn’t need that. -
In honor of a Buffalo/Houston playoff game

Incredible game. I hope this one is more in our favor from the outset. Also a great example of why I believe Tasker was a game changer and deserves props. -
Josh Allen - SEASON TWO report card
TroutDog replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d rather see better protection from the line ahead of more weapons. Use Duke in the mean time. With that being said, a 3rd of 4th on a receiver would be nice. Josh is still young and his processing has proven problematic. He needs to fix that...give him more time until then. Bonus: they’ll also help in the run game. ? -
I believe it worked out in our favor. In addition, with the Pats*** losing, they have a MUCH harder slog to get to four in a row. ? So wish we played better against them last week. Fitz came through for us.

I’m not opposed to it and love the kid but the thread count for him is ludicrous. ? -
