  1. The word on Joseph, during the draft, stated that he was NOT instinctual and overran plays at times. Assuming they’ve coached that out of him, he would be the prime candidate. If not, draft/FA.
  2. I hope he stays and we do to him what we did to Favre: end the reign (I liked Favre, though). Cant agree enough with what Yolo said above: it’s not about him anymore.
  3. I guess my point was that it would be more interesting (at least for me) to discuss how we collapsed in the manner we did. I didn’t see it driven by a specific play and, to be honest, wouldn’t know how to start an intelligent thread on it...other than it was maddening and frustrating to watch. Loving this team the way we all do, it was such a massive letdown and the team and us, as fans, deserved a hell of a lot more.
  4. If we can secure a larger WR it would allow for Josh’s advancement to continue, Singletary to push forward and Brown, Beasley and Knox/Kroft to win more battles. In addition, if we get a significantly improved EDGE, our D should take the next step. Of course there are other parts needed (improved OL, Zo replacement, CB, etc.) but the first two, if done, will help use get to 10-11 wins and win the AFCE. I trust Beane to complete, at least, a large part of this.
  5. That’s exactly what my initial post said.
  6. I understand and agree with that but thread after thread about specific plays belies the fact that is was a failure from top to bottom as opposed to one simple failure.
  7. All of these threads about specific plays is kind of sad: this was a complete meltdown on all levels, including O, D and coaching. I trust they will learn from it and it won’t happen again.
  8. Couldn’t agree more. It’s mind boggling to think of taking a RB back to back but if we could get Najee, I would not hate it. Regardless, as you say, Beane and McD have given me no reason not to trust them yet...regardless of the half glass empty folks around here who mention Zay and KB. ?
  9. Yes, but no need to throw turds at him, in my opinion. Everything that happened before is a sunk cost and we’re in good shape now. I love the Pegulas and also appreciate Ralph for keeping them here as long as he did.
  10. Nailed it. If you’re a DC, you know O formations and tendencies and vice versa. Given this, I’d argue that you’re a ‘football coach’ either way. I suppose the argument could be made about fundamentals on the ‘opposing’ side of your strength but that’s where coordinators and position coaches come into play.
  11. Ok, agree to disagree. White has 260 yards rushing and 500 or 600 receiving. Harry, being a rookie, is always a crap shoot (with about 100 yards for the year). Just not the same as what Josh had in my opinion.
  12. Brown, Beasley, Knox to name a few. Do they need more? Yup. But Brady has Eddleman and that’s about it.
  13. Yeah, I wouldn’t agree with your take. Beane handles that end with input from McD, in my opinion.
  14. I agree he outplayed him but Josh still made some colossal mistakes (and I am a HUGE Josh proponent). In addition, Brady declined so precipitously this year it wasn’t even funny. With that being said, he didn’t have much of a supporting cast. Next year, when we play the pats***, we will be ready.
  15. Love Najee and he would be a great get! What makes you believe McD has final say? I have never heard that from Beane or McD.
  16. Not sure who it will be but i suspect Beane will be making moves.
  17. I’m pretty sure Fitz and the ‘Fins and the Titans strongly hinted at it! ? We almost did...man I wish we won one of those.
  18. Thank you! So happy to hear a positive response to what has clearly been the plan the entire time. While we weren’t obviously full-on tear down and rebuild, we really were and the fruits are coming to bear. I can’t wait!
  19. No one can: there were ZERO calls against the Texans between the whistles in the ENTIRE game. With that being said, we can control what we can control. We should have scored more points and stopped them more. We can control those things.
  20. For the Love of God when will AJ Green threads stop? A permanently injured, once really good WR who is over the hill. How about this: Scout some great CFB receivers who are coming out and give us thoughts on them? Just a thought.
  21. Pitchforks! Flaming tikis! Raise hell......and then wait until the 2020 draft to start.
  22. It’s so subjective, particularly in today’s NFL. MN clearly pushed off for the win yesterday and it wasn’t flagged or even reviewed. I suspect teams know which zebras call them and which don’t and they make their weekly coaching decisions based on that. Not much to coach so far as ‘pushing’...only when to do it.
  23. I appreciate your posts as well. ? I can’t come up with any other sports dynasties who cheat like they do. It’s unfortunate as they could have won without it and, for me, it taints their accomplishments. It seems to be a part of their culture and that’s on them. I was raised that honesty, integrity and honor are the most valuable things you can ever have: they didn’t get that memo! He is poor at drafting. Thank God! If they do put the pieces back together, they’re the one team that can do it. All they need is a couple of receivers and maybe a QB and the D will carry them the rest of the way.
  24. Pats*** get asterisks for the number of times they cheated. ?
  25. Not me! They’ve been the measuring stick for 20 years but I truly believe Brady is done and he’s a primary cog to the wheel that made it go. Just my opinion.
