I went with Hyde based on expected cost and as others have said, a true change up compared to Singletary. I pray they don’t spend a bunch on a RB (and don’t expect them to).
Proof positive of how damaging the RB position is: he was electric just a couple of years ago. Those guys get walloped every week all while knowing their earning power is declining.
Just trying to catch up: is this a Matthews (LB) thread or a Gurley (RB) thread?
Whomever it is, regardless of what ANYONE knows about said individual: SIGN HIM!!!! ?
I’m not sure where I’d rank our group but I can tell you this: I can’t wait to see them play this year! With Josh taking another step forward (or maybe two), it’s going to be a much more fun offense to watch!
I have no doubt more will come in FA and the draft. Keep in mind, however, that this will be year two for these guys and they are just beginning to gel.
Just like last year, as many holes being filled now.
Man I love this management group! It’s been bang, bang, bang...all good signings with some exceptional ones sprinkled in for good measure!
One of the best things about this is the negative cap implications for the ***Pats because of their wanting him to be one one year deals. This is a massive loss on multiple levels for them.
First off, I have NOT read this entire thread so perhaps it’s been discussed elsewhere: if so, apologies.
The combine is NOT prime time viewing in my opinion. To make it so they will need to look at pitting people against one another (the most simple example would be two people running the 40 simultaneously).
I appreciated some of it but most was painful. Just my opinion. ?
Yeah, not sure if I’m buying that: in business, I ‘harp’ on fundamentals while doing all my people do...it can be built in to the day to day routine. If not, it’s a missed opportunity...just my opinion.
I agree and, to be honest, it surprises me to hear that McD (thus his coaches) doesn’t harp on this throughout the year. He almost constantly speaks of fundamentals.
Honestly I want to see Josh and the new draft picks showing improvement. It’s the most critical thing to the immediate future of this franchise.
What does that mean? They should be good enough, with a tough schedule, to make the playoffs...and score more than 24 points per game.
I appreciated how Palmer said that as the year progresses the players become ‘out of shape’ (I wish I was that ‘out of shape’) and revert in form. Not sure if he’s saying this to keep players coming back or not but it does make a degree of sense.
