  1. Watched Mahomes interview. Is it me or does he sound like Oscar the Grouch with a touch of Kermit??
  2. That was such a ticky-tack call: how does that impact anything? But it’s ok to remove a TD because of it? How about a five yard penalty on the kickoff or PAT?
  3. Like many things in today’s world, it’s pandering to the lowest common denominator. People who don’t understand the game view the high scores as more fun to watch. The NFL knows this and is propagating it via rules and what’s called/not called.
  4. I was talking about the ‘Fins.
  5. They’re getting close. Once Tua takes over they’ll be a completely different team. They’re also young. They will be dangerous next year and beyond.
  6. Oh! I completely agree that I wouldn’t swap for Diggs! I just always loved his game. I’m a Bama and ND fan so watch both with a high frequency.
  7. He is amazing. Loved him at ND. All of the talk pre-draft was he’d be a reach for us. Nope. The kid is a winner and has a heart like Josh.
  8. Mahomes? If so, I agree.
  9. Not sure about you all but I appreciate the PAT being harder now. Adds a little spice to the game.
  10. Shhhhhhh...don’t let the media know. It counters the entire ‘Bills play puffballs’ theory.
  11. I love how coaches still cover their mouths with their play sheets while calling in the play even though they’re wearing a mask. 😃
  12. He’s sounded rather exasperated in his interviews...and he should. In reality they should better than 2-2 but, as we know, “You are what your record says you are.”
  13. Ah, that makes perfect sense. They used to put points up at will and it doesn’t seem to be clicking anymore.
  14. Mahomes just doesn’t look like the same guy this year.
  15. I don’t understand this, really. They were invited in, we’re at the apex of their profession and did it really, really well. They do have knowledge and that should never be shied away from in my opinion.
  16. I loved those days, too, but the permanent damage done to those guys really has to be measured. Some of the hits of old were unreal. On top of that, injecting people so they can get back on the field...that’s not really medicine. It was all tons of fun for us to watch but these guys only play this game for a few years and then they’re left with the remainder of their lives with their broken bodies. Just my opinion.
  17. Agree completely...it’s just me after this year as my last one is about to fly the coop. I will be downsizing RADICALLY. I’ve vacillated on moving back south but will stay here for now due to exceptional medical care. With that being said, half of me misses the south (19 years down there) and the other half completely loves the three seasons here in WNY. If not for that one darn season lasting too long here! 😃
  18. Absolutely: there are gorgeous towns tucked in all through the region. What you’re thinking of is the best of both worlds: mountains AND beach! 😃
  19. I’d say that makes it worth watching on a phone. Beautiful part of the country.
  20. This is getting out of hand quickly. While I had never wanted a break, it may be time.
  21. He has been fantastic. With his inevitable aging, I’ve wondered about how the heck they’ll replace him. I then realize Beane is in charge and all will be well. Since he and McD have been here, their process was clear and I love it. Love Poyer, too: he’s stout as all get out.
  22. Who was the WR that jumped in at CB last year? He better get some time with the DB’s.
  23. Ha! That’s my memory of it, as well. I’ve only been once and there is a reason for that.
  24. You can just close your eyes through Arkansas.
  25. We don’t want to be America’s team we ARE America’s team...just ask Fred Smerlas. 😃
