  1. lol at some people in this thread EVERYONE taken in the 5th round is a PROJECT (unless you are drafting a kicker) the 5th round is not where you find guys to come in and start right away btw they really needed another body at safety so why don't the haters list off all SS prospects that were available and so clearly better than meeks
  2. The Bills have no depth at all at safety. All they had was Byrd and Searcy, and Searcy is not that good. Literally 2 bodies. I guess maybe Williams is going to be an experimental CB>S project but the cupboards were totally bare. Pick makes sense.
  3. geno is such a little prick he wasn't even happy to be drafted he was incredulous he fell down the ladder he couldnt even be bothered to wear a suit on day 2 to walk the stage! nice sweater you piece of trash
  4. they needed to take an ILB with the pick alonso was anywhere between 3rd and 6th ILB prospect depending who you asked before the draft, and when they picked teo and minter were already off the board. he was clearly among the best remaining ILB prospects at the time of the pick and had his stick diminished a bit with very minor off the field issues. very solid pick. wait wait WAIT you will pay for the sunday ticket to watch RYAN FITZPATRICK AND CHAN GAILEY wallowing in mediocrity but you aren't interested in seeing the infusion of young explosive talent and leadership that we have all been waiting for? you aren't absolutely pumped to watch the development of your new franchise quarterback and scrutinize all his plays and watch his progress? lol wow bro you should not only cancel you sunday ticket you should probably just top watching nfl football entirely because you really don't get it
  5. Another reason after the Duke Williams (and Kiko Alonso) pick: - i love that as an organization the bills are finally moving past the whole marv levy CHARACTER organizational philosophy and actually trying to draft good football players instead of model citizens now

  7. - They knew they needed a QB, they highly valued taking a shot at a franchise QB, and they aggressively went out and got their guy. - They avoided taking Nassib at 8 when he's clearly a late round talent. - The three biggest positions of need were QB/WR/LB. They went out and addressed these positions with their top picks, and took legitimate top tier prospects at each. - Robert Woods is ready to step in and contribute immediately. - The EJ Manuel Sports Science video. - Marone is putting his thumbprint all over this offense right from the beginning. The organization on the whole is more highly valuing putting points on the board than in years past. - Bruce Smith is EJ Manuel's Godfather. I am thrilled with this draft and couldn't ask for anything more. Post your one liner reasons why this is the best draft ever!
  8. best draft in decades if you aren't extremely happy you are missing the boat
  9. In 2010 the NFC West was a historically bad conference. An absolute laughingstock. A 7-9 record won the division and people were clamoring to change the playoff eligibility and wild card rules. A couple seasons later, the Seahawks and the 49ers are two of the elite teams in the NFL, and loaded with young talent and poised to dominate for years to come. It seems so easy for other franchises to turn it around. It doesn't seem like it has to be a long process, either. HOW CAN THE BILLS BE SO BAD FOR SO LONG WITH NO CHANGE? It boggles the mind. Hopefully in a couple years Doug Marrone and Geno Smith will be the new Harbaugh/Kaepernick or Carroll/Wilson. Probably not, and I get that, but AT LEAST THERE'S A CHANCE!
  10. Ya sit back and relax and don't worry when they don't bring in a single impact player. They might get good value on a backup corner or something!
  11. who else they gonna get? he's as good as an option as the bills have available
  12. whaley is alright he's not elite but he's still improving as a GM and they've been making better personnel decisions than in years past im glad he's still around
  13. i wouldnt hate the bills getting him... AS LONG AS THEY STILL SEEK A YOUNG QB VIA THE DRAFT smith is not a long term solution and is a very mediocre nfl quarterback, but he's at least better than fitzpatrick but i can't see them giving away draft picks to get smith and then also taking a highly rated qb prospect
  14. thanks for taking the time to chart this encouraging to see good things from him as you point out he's an 8-sack guy who holds down his side of the line and the fans what an 18-sack guy i'd rather have jj watt obviously but hey mario is at a level where he would still be an improvement for just about every nfl team which is something most bills players cant say
  15. yep that sounds exactly like ralph wilson ralph is still quite the athlete and public speaker cool story tho
  16. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/ol This looks like one of the lone spots on the team where the draft picks have worked out. With Levitre/Wood at the core they've quietly become a top unit over the past several seasons. People commonly talk about how important it is to have a good offensive line, but is it really helping the Bills? Our running blocking is good, Fitz generally has time, but where does it get us? Who knows, but anyways kudos to the offensive line for being one of the few bright spots.
  17. good is a relative quantifier compared to people at the peak of their ability a man in his 90s is not good at a given task compared to other owners in the league Ralph is not good pretty straightforward stuff anyway you slice it by the way your "last post" on the matter was several posts ago self'd yet again
  18. it is not ageist to suggest a man that is in his 90s has diminished abilities it's more like saying water is wet idk how you can even try to argue that his mental acuity has not declined to some extend over the last 30 years you need to brush up on your debate skills
  19. you have resorted multiple times to attacking me personally rather than the argument itself ad hominem'd i didn't even need to advance my point lol the situation is that obvious
  20. wow piss poor fans in here first of all, if you aren't watching other NFL games as well you really aren't a fan of NFL football get the sunday ticket ffs also, i talk as much **** about the bills as anyone, but i still watch all the games TAKE YOUR DAMN MEDICINE
  21. and i can tell you that no one that is 94 is good at anything maybe there is some semblance of awareness behind those foggy eyes, but c'mon no one in their 90s has been at the pinnacle of anything if a 60yo ralph was a bad decision maker, a 94yo ralph is inherently much much worse but keep on with it brah! first hand knowledge lol - 94 and smart as a whip!
  22. don't worry guys ralph does a weekly phone call with the beat writers and he will let them know he is very unhappy with the proofreading
  23. dalton is on pace to throw for over 4000 yards and 28 TDs with a 64% completion percentage he's got a great chemistry with aj green and is making guys like hawkins look decent out there i'd take luck over dalton obviously but dalton has shown progress from year 1 to year 2 and is by no means a bust at this point
  24. He's going to draft some crap prospect in the 3rd round and then have him sit behind Fitz for a year or two and then ultimately take over and predictably fail and then in another 4 years of sub .500 football we can start the cycle of hoping they will draft a real prospect again.
