  1. As sad as this sounds I’m actually glad to hear Edwards has a medical condition…it’s that bad. Best wishes for his health. This is just a game.
  2. 98 is an amazing life! Condolences for your loss but this is a celebration of a wonderful existence.
  3. What is this crap and where is it coming from? There is absolutely NO evidence Josh doesn’t take every game and week of preparation seriously, and we don’t need bull-shite like this on the forum. Josh gets frustrated — not “bored” — during games when he feels like he needs to make a play for his team. It is his intense competitiveness and not a lack of interest that sometimes gets him into trouble.
  4. Their one big pass play was a blown coverage by our 3rd string safety on 3rd and long. The Fish are not going to run up and down the field against this defense. The key is our offense taking advantage of every red zone trip with 7s instead of 3s.
  5. I didn’t have a strong opinion on Harty but he has definitely underwhelmed thus far. I had no opinion on Bernard and was worried; I definitely wanted Kirksey in here. Suffice it to say I’m very pleasantly surprised. Davis had his nice TD, but not coming down with a 2nd Sunday and then dropping a big pass over the middle to kill a drive was disheartening. I root for this guy and want him to succeed as a true #2 but the inconsistency keeps rearing its head. That is probably my crow to eat.
  6. No, I would have had Allen sneak it from under center. But that doesn’t mean Dorsey is an idiot or doing a bad job. Edit: and I just read Jim Kubiak’s breakdown of the play. If that pass isn’t batted down at the line it was going to a wide open Diggs who had only the safety to beat. It may have been a touchdown. Kubiak notes the Bills had the Commandos’ personnel completely overmatched on the play. The “our players seemingly never getting the ball in space” comment is vague and overly broad, and doesn’t really tell me anything.
  7. People, just stop. The Fish scored 24 points against the Pats***. They are not unstoppable. Just let McD and his coaches make their game plan. You can surmise and pontificate all you want but it is truly meaningless. The Bills are the favorite in this game for a reason. Relax. Squish the Fish!!! 19 and 1, Babyyyyyyyyyy!!!!
  8. This is a great discussion. I think that for first-time HC hires in the NFL, the coach often thinks he has to step back from his coordinator role so that he can “oversee” the entire operation he is now responsible for. That’s why many coaches fail…they lose sight of what got them there in the quest to become master of everything. The best ones are great delegators and surround themselves with people who want them to succeed. One thing is certain, however — you are either a leader or you aren’t. Leadership skills can be strengthened but you just “know” if someone can inspire others to follow. McD has that. I think the change this year has rejuvenated McD. I think he’s having more fun, and from some of the comments I’ve read from players on the defensive side of the ball they respect him even more now that they feel like he is “one of them.” If this season goes the way I hope it does, I don’t think we’ll see McD step away from leading the defense again for the rest of his tenure.
  9. Two absolutely SICK throws that nobody else in this league makes.
  10. TLDR. Can someone give me the Cliff Notes?
  11. Very rarely do I see a post with which I disagree about every point made. Fans hating their OCs…about as predictable as the sun rising and setting…
  12. I just listened to that and it was hilarious. It still chaps my ass that Josh imploded in the 2nd half and blew that W. Just End The Season
  13. He is, but he is doing lots of simulated pressure to confuse the OL and QB...
  14. Truthfully, just about all "hometown" announcers are brutal. You hear the clips if you are driving around listening to SiriusXM NFL Radio on Sunday...I cringe at 95% of the touchdown calls.
  15. Not the same thing. The Fish have created an unfair environmental advantage based upon which sideline you are on. No other stadium in the NFL does this.
  16. It was eerily similar to the conditions the Bills faced a year ago…heat index well over 100 on the Broncos’ sideline while the Fish were in the shade. Everybody knew the 2nd half would be a schite-show. At some point the league needs to mandate that this sort of “home field advantage” is not allowed. During the month of September the Fish should only be able to schedule late or night games at home.
  17. I’m not ranking teams at this point because they’ve only played three games and the level of competition is not equal. There is a “tier” of 5-6 teams I think will be competing for the Super Bowl, and the biggest difference from what I thought during preseason is that I have dropped Cinci out of that tier. Otherwise, it is KC, Buffalo, Miami (in the AFC) and SF and Philly in the NFC. Next tier down is Cinci, Cleveland, Baltimore, Jacksonville in the AFC and Dallas, Detroit, and maybe the Packers and Rams in the NFC. I don’t trust any NFC South teams.
  18. I didn't watch it either...just going by them losing as home favorites to the Raiders and Commandos and then giving up 70. Agreed that the Bears are awful.
  19. I think there is something to this. Good QBs coming out next year, and Sean has seen enough of Russ to know he can’t turn him back into what he was in Seattle. I’m sorry, but you don’t give up 70 to anybody in this league if you are trying. That team quit in the sweltering heat, and I think the Broncos may not win more than a game or two all year. They look like the worst team in the league.
  20. I’ll jump in here. While Elam hasn’t been active, he has still been with the team, in all of the meetings, and practicing each week. He’s not “out of touch” with the team chemistry. He played in big moments last year, including the playoffs. He played on the same field with Tyreek & Co. three times last season. I have no idea what they’ll do, but activating Elam this week and using his talents against this particular team wouldn’t shock me. It really all comes down to whether McDermott believes he can trust him.
  21. It is certainly interesting to note that the Bills have only given up two defensive TDs through three games…and none since the Raiders’ first drive of W2. Every time I look at this game I have to ask myself which of the four main units (Bills O and D, Fish O and D) is the weakest? The answer is always the Fish D.
  22. Welcome to Two Bills Drive and The Stadium Wall! Pull up a seat and take a load off!
