  1. Metcalf dropped like a rock. I'll trust the Bills' (and 30 other teams') staffs on this one. And Singletary is hardly slow. I don't think you're giving enough consideration to a few things: 1 -- Josh Allen Year 2. No learning curve, and was starting to "click" at the end of the year. Great players elevate those around them. 2 -- OL rebuild. We are talking about a completely new line. 3 -- Veteran WRs and RBs. I get it, a lot of folks want the "true #1" receiver. I'm in the camp that believes this is not necessary. I expect improvement from Foster and Jones, and with the additions of Brown and Beasley that WR room is "fine" as it is. If Duke surprises or Sills is a steal even better. I think Knox is the sneaky-good pick of this draft for the Bills. Put a "middle of the pack" group of receivers out there with a good OL, good QB, and good RBs, and I think the offense is capable of scoring in the mid-20s consistently.
  2. Apparently pre-sale for pre '94 accounts starts today. I need some club seats. Please PM me if you can help. I'm able to Venmo funds immediately.
  3. I'm convinced that viewers who pay attention to all of the "fan theories" just set themselves up for disappointment. What happened was pretty straightforward -- Bran wasn't the NK, the NK wasn't secretly riding his dragon to Kings Landing, etc., etc. I'm not a fan of today's directors' love affair with "dark" scenes but it's really hard to create a realistic night time battle scene without it being dark. Closing Melisandre's arc with Arya (and then Sir Davos) was excellent storytelling. With the Northern army decimated it's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. I still think Dany dies -- she's no better than her father and shouldn't "win" the throne. Tyrion and Sansa were my only two predictions of characters who will last the entire show -- that thought was strengthened last night.
  4. Has Lorax given you the impression he’s a liar? Amazing what armchair athletes think they know about the inner workings of a team.
  5. He's not there to play, he's there to be a 2nd coach for Josh who isn't hampered by coaching contact restrictions.
  6. That was awesome. In these situations I always feel sorry for the player, because it's not his fault -- but wow. The draft crowd at the stadium all booed the pick! The Giants have become a joke.
  7. And in taking those "lumps" they still managed to win 15 games in two years and end the playoff drought. Good times ahead.
  8. I don't like broccoli.
  9. Speaking of taking it to the next level...it still saddens me to think of how dominant Sam Cowart was becoming before a dirty play essentially ended him.
  10. I will ALWAYS appreciate what Bill Polian did for the Buffalo Bills...but in 2019 I find him almost unlistenable.
  11. And most importantly, great ability.
  12. Interesting point -- Biscuit was always good, but right after that trade he seemed like he would be All-World.
  13. I love this dude. Just watched the PC -- he is confident without sounding cocky, and he is sincerely happy to be a Bill. The guy literally got "bored" in college after his freshman year -- he has been waiting for this moment. So excited.
  14. He might be -- but Josh and Baker have the potential to be great.
  15. I think Darnold will always be a step behind Mayfield and Allen. Just a gut feeling kind of thing; I don't see the same kind of drive and desire I see in Baker and Josh.
  16. Stay classy, Dwayne, The Skins suck.
  17. I forgot they signed Peko. Why did they go DT in round 1 then?
  18. Press conference at OBD at 4 p.m.
  19. A lesser (or less confident) GM would have panicked and traded up to assure himself of Oliver. Beane should be credited with remaining patient -- sometimes not making a move takes more guts than making one.
  20. I was texting with some Bills fan friends and as soon as the Giants drafted Jones I texted "holy crap we are going to get Oliver." This was a dream first round.
  21. I've got no problem with DK at 40. Can't say I'd like him more than Deebo though...
  22. Nope. I know you and many others hated the Whitner pick but he was a legitimate starter and provided a benefit. This is the dumbest pick I've ever seen -- you don't waste a #6 on a guy who may truthfully never be a competent starter in this league.
  23. I'm dead serious. I don't typically do much research on draft picks, but Jones is a guy I've watched for several years since I live in Durham. There is no way in H-E-L-L I think he should have been drafted in the 1st round, much less the top ten. And then for Gettleman to say he could sit for three years? I think that selection is soul-crushing for Giants fans.
  24. I'm dumbfounded by the Giants picking Jones at 6. Seriously, one of the worst draft picks I can ever remember -- simply shocking.
  25. It's funny to see some of the usual suspects dismiss the Oliver pick as a "no brainer" that "fell into Beane's lap." Good luck is typically the result of good preparation. Yes, once Oliver was on the board at #9 it was an easy decision, but the reason the Bills were prepared is because of their work leading up to the draft and the various mock draft scenarios they played out internally. They were prepared for whatever happened and did not panic or trade out of the spot, and wound up getting a top 3 overall talent at #9 who happens to be a freaking perfect fit for this team. If you want to say the Bills got lucky go ahead, but they created their own luck.
