  1. These predictions aren’t “bold” — they’re dumb.
  2. It’s a damn shame this thread didn’t start with “hear me out.”
  3. A superbly hot take as usual...
  4. Yup. Josh got a 1/2 year of training and now they have Dorsey. Good luck in retirement DA.
  5. Nobody runs a 2-and-a-half yard out like Lee Smith.
  6. What did you have built before Peterman was cut?
  7. Mine came yesterday. Playing the 480-yard Par 5 18th at a local course I hit a nice drive down the right side of the fairway that left me about 210 yards from the flag. You could only see the top half of the flagstick because of the elevation change on the hole, but I hit my 2-hybrid and it looked pretty good. As our foursome drove up to the green we only saw three balls...figured mine must have gone over. One of my companions said "check the hole" and I scoffed. Then came the most amazing feeling I've ever had on a golf course, as I walked up and peeked into the hole to see my ball. A double eagle 2! The rarest of birds. Sorry for the LAMP but I'm still giddy. The odds of making a double eagle are roughly 1M-to-one, compared with the roughly 13,000-to-one odds of making a hole-in-one.
  8. Nah, that's the old days of "workhorse" RBs who got 25-30 carries and would say they don't "warm up" until they've been hit a few times. Lots of teams use RBBC, including very successful ones (the Pats*** say hello). Shady was going to be a <20 carry back no matter how you slice it. If the Bills run the ball 30-35 times a game there are plenty of carries to go around to Shady/Gore/Singletary.
  9. I'll keep saying it. Jon's already dead. Can't see this game ending with him on the Iron Throne.
  10. I think the saying at OBD is actually "respect the process" -- so trust the process can go. I don't like McBeane either.
  11. I think yards per completion is a better gauge of "going for the big play" -- of course the yards per attempt will drop with more incompletions. Josh was tied for 6th in the league in yards per completion last year at 12.3 -- here's the link.
  12. Make sure you tenderize him first.
  13. Agreed. The guy played here two years, but we've got fans "pulling for him" and "hoping he gets another shot." it's comical. The guy has been a douchenozzle for pretty much his entire adult life.
  14. I'm answering sincerely. Perhaps because his mentality as a QB has always been to go for the big play, and he has only recently received good coaching about what being a QB means? He also hasn't been playing the position all his life like some of these guys.
  15. Or, he's an uber-rich a-hole who knows how to limit his tax liability. Probably somewhere in the middle.
  16. This equates to roughly three more completions per game, if you've got between 25-30 attempts. If all Josh does is improve his short game (dump offs and check downs) I see this gap closing significantly.
  17. Why the hell would a guy who is a pro scout in the NFL leave to take a job with the XFL? If it's just money it seems pretty short-sighted.
  18. But how is his elevator etiquette?
  19. I really like the phrase, "can make a guy miss in a phone booth." It's perfectly descriptive.
  20. I'm pretty much done with anything having to do with Richie Incognito. I'm glad he had a couple of good seasons with the Bills but aside from that I don't see much reason to care about what happens to him.
  21. I don't think Jon ever sits on the Iron Throne. I'll stick to my belief that he is already "dead" but just serving a purpose to get a rightful ruler in place. I don't think he currently knows who that ruler is, but it won't wind up being Dany.
