Who Should Be Next On The Wall Of Fame?
eball replied to BillyWhiteShows's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Biscuit, Butch Byrd, Kyle Williams. Just say no to Fred, and any other drought-era Bills. Kyle made it to the playoffs. -
#1 -- I have not "gotten on" anyone about Allen unless they are predicting failure; I'm encouraged but know he has to take a big step forward this year #2 -- I don't like Jackson. I think he's a dummy and I think he will wind up having a very hard time maintaining consistent success as a starting QB I don't see anything hypocritical about these two statements. Allen wasn't "a lot like that." Did you listen to the 17:00 interview with Chris Simms? Allen himself said he doesn't know where the running ability came from and it was a surprise to him. He wasn't looking to run first, he was trying to survive as he learned the position. Jackson is absolutely a guy who looks to run almost as much as he looks to pass. The two QBs are apples and oranges. There is no inconsistency in liking one QB and disliking the other -- they are not the same "style" of QB.

Don't underestimate the "stay at home" factor for Daboll. He may want to ride this thing out with a star QB and his hometown team. -
Chris Simms "Josh Allen talks technique"
eball replied to SDubills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh is going to make a bunch of throws in his career that will leave players, coaches, and fans saying, "how did he do that?" -
Yup. There's been a lot of complaining about "too many blowouts" over the first two seasons of McD's tenure but almost all of the blame falls upon an inability to generate offense. The one exception to this that stands out to me is the Saints game in 2017 -- that one was ugly on both offense and defense from the get-go. While McD's decision to start Peterman the following week was obviously a bad one, you can understand why he wanted to make a complete change after the debacle against New Orleans. Like you, I just can't turn a game off. I think part of a team's character is shown in how they "play out the string" even if they are clearly not going to win.

Sporting News ranks all 32 NFL coaches for 2019

I didn't read this review and I don't really care about it, but just on record alone (two seasons, one playoff appearance, 15-17 record) I think McD is in "middle of the pack" territory, which puts him somewhere between 12-20 I guess? This season, year three, is McD's opportunity to show what he has built and how much he has learned. Turn this team into a playoff contender and he'll receive the personal accolades. -
How heartbreaking. Very sad to hear. ?

“Woman?” I beg to differ.

Chris Simms "Josh Allen talks technique"
eball replied to SDubills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We’ve got a good one, folks. To hear the honesty about “crapping his pants” in the Chargers game, to talking about how he has grown and when he felt like he belonged...holy schitt this kid has the “it” factor and then some. Great, great stuff.- 107 replies

Chris Brown: Josh in No Huddle is Dialed in
eball replied to NoHuddleKelly12's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Ravens' game plan will be to begin their 2:00 drill at the 5:00 mark. -
How many OL does a team typically keep? 10? I think Feliciano and Long are locks, and the rest of the guys are fighting for the remaining three slots. I think the "pro's pro" (what everyone should say when referring to Gore, lol) is a lock. I think Murphy (DL) is a lock.

The no huddle offense is too quick for Trentative. He needs time to take a look downfield, panic, and then dump the ball off.
