  1. Biscuit, Butch Byrd, Kyle Williams. Just say no to Fred, and any other drought-era Bills. Kyle made it to the playoffs.
  2. #1 -- I have not "gotten on" anyone about Allen unless they are predicting failure; I'm encouraged but know he has to take a big step forward this year #2 -- I don't like Jackson. I think he's a dummy and I think he will wind up having a very hard time maintaining consistent success as a starting QB I don't see anything hypocritical about these two statements. Allen wasn't "a lot like that." Did you listen to the 17:00 interview with Chris Simms? Allen himself said he doesn't know where the running ability came from and it was a surprise to him. He wasn't looking to run first, he was trying to survive as he learned the position. Jackson is absolutely a guy who looks to run almost as much as he looks to pass. The two QBs are apples and oranges. There is no inconsistency in liking one QB and disliking the other -- they are not the same "style" of QB.
  3. I don't know what you're apologizing for, that's your opinion. I just think if you look at recent history the Ravens are not the same franchise you are recalling, and they should absolutely be scrutinized for the Lamar Jackson situation.
  4. Honestly? I don't think the Bills are worse, and I believe the teams are trending in opposite directions. "Everyone" is going to rely upon the past until they see the W-L records reflect a change. I understand that.
  5. Don't underestimate the "stay at home" factor for Daboll. He may want to ride this thing out with a star QB and his hometown team.
  6. You mean the Ravens who haven't won a playoff game since 2012 and are 32-32 over the past four seasons? Those Ravens? It is really quite remarkable the lengths to which you will go to defend other teams, while at the same time taking shots at your own team (allegedly) at every opportunity.
  7. Josh is going to make a bunch of throws in his career that will leave players, coaches, and fans saying, "how did he do that?"
  8. And I mean, really -- we only get 16 of these things a year that we wait the other 36 weeks for...
  9. Yup. There's been a lot of complaining about "too many blowouts" over the first two seasons of McD's tenure but almost all of the blame falls upon an inability to generate offense. The one exception to this that stands out to me is the Saints game in 2017 -- that one was ugly on both offense and defense from the get-go. While McD's decision to start Peterman the following week was obviously a bad one, you can understand why he wanted to make a complete change after the debacle against New Orleans. Like you, I just can't turn a game off. I think part of a team's character is shown in how they "play out the string" even if they are clearly not going to win.
  10. I didn't read this review and I don't really care about it, but just on record alone (two seasons, one playoff appearance, 15-17 record) I think McD is in "middle of the pack" territory, which puts him somewhere between 12-20 I guess? This season, year three, is McD's opportunity to show what he has built and how much he has learned. Turn this team into a playoff contender and he'll receive the personal accolades.
  11. How heartbreaking. Very sad to hear. ?
  12. that’s a load of crap and you know it. I respect all fans with opinions; I make fun of those who add nothing but negativity or who think they know it all. You fall into the latter category, sport. Cheers!
  13. “Woman?” I beg to differ.
  14. I’m really disappointed nobody got this reference, by the way.
  15. I really want to make fun of that comment but I completely agree.
  16. We’ve got a good one, folks. To hear the honesty about “crapping his pants” in the Chargers game, to talking about how he has grown and when he felt like he belonged...holy schitt this kid has the “it” factor and then some. Great, great stuff.
  17. The Ravens' game plan will be to begin their 2:00 drill at the 5:00 mark.
  18. How many OL does a team typically keep? 10? I think Feliciano and Long are locks, and the rest of the guys are fighting for the remaining three slots. I think the "pro's pro" (what everyone should say when referring to Gore, lol) is a lock. I think Murphy (DL) is a lock.
  19. Much like the negative nincompoops who keep poo-pooing any optimistic viewpoints! See, this IS fun!
  20. I'll take "words I never expected to read on TSW" for $1000, Alex...
  21. Corrected for accuracy. And I don't. I'm having a lot of fun with this. You should try it!
  22. So get your sports from a jock like me, who knows what it's like to have a groin injury. A g-g-groin, injury.
  23. The no huddle offense is too quick for Trentative. He needs time to take a look downfield, panic, and then dump the ball off.
  24. Oh, just you wait until he forgets to preserve a timeout to use in the 4th quarter. All hell will break loose!
