Tre'Davious White named third-best corner in NFL
eball replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tre will be one of the first test cases of Beane's stated "sign your own" philosophy. -

Yeah, and if you believe that I've got some oceanfront property in Kansas to show you... -

I’m now convinced, more than ever, that your sole purpose on this site is to see what sort of rise you can get out of people. You won’t find this fish biting again. I’m glad you’ve got some big fans in ScottLaw and Bill from NYC. -

If every other NFL GM and HC was scrutinized and nitpicked to death the way you have done to Beane and McD, I'm sure you'd find "a TON of errors" there as well. It's a business in which the GM "hopes" to be right 50% of the time. And if you're calling Josh Allen the beacon of hope, you could at least give Beane credit for maneuvering to get him. -
I guess she just wanted to get a little trim.

He fell into the trap of thinking it was cool or funny to make fun of everything the organization did.
-
For his first several years his stories provided absolutely no insight and it didn't even seem like he was watching the team personally. I think he started to "get it" more recently but still lacked any real journalistic "spark." If I read anything of his it was truly by accident.

Ahh, some of the replies to that tweet are classic. Overboard, but classic. I think Rodak grew in his job over the years, but man, was he terrible for the first few.

Not even close. The Bills gave up a low 3rd (#85) and 7th for a proven WR with production. Benjamin obviously didn't pan out but it wasn't a crazy trade. -

I think he has a setup in his house that's something akin to Jabba the Hutt's lair. He slobbers and breathes heavily throughout the broadcast, while name-dropping every chance he gets. That dude can't be healthy. -

Nothing will ever beat Sheppard for Hughes, though. That trade is Whaley's Stairway to Heaven. -

Weis was also defending Bon Jovi (one of "his guys") saying he got an unfair rap when he was trying to buy the Bills. Eff you, Charlie, and eff you, Jon. -

And Beane deserves that much more credit for getting a top of the 3rd round pick from Cleveland for him! -
I was listening this morning around 8 a.m. and they had Lorax on. First of all, Weis is a douche. Sorry. Typical "I know it all" NJ guy. Anyway, Vic obviously knows Lorax well and it was a nice interview. Lorax said all the right things about seeing Josh's progression and them being excited about the season. Said they can never replace Kyle's leadership but he's working on getting Edmunds to step into that leadership void because he knows he won't be around forever. Said he liked Oliver's skill set and noted how Star and others are mentoring him. Implied that the OL is going to be much more physical because of the players they have brought in. Gave props to Singletary (who Weis likes a lot) -- said he has already seen how well he sees the field and makes people miss. Also even mentioned Dawson's Creek by name -- the kid must be showing them something. Made the standard "we'll need to see everything when we get in pads" disclaimer.

I won't start worrying about any of these guys (or their injuries) until the calendar reads late July/early August.

This. I have several close female friends who would defend the breed all day long. When I see someone get down in a pit bull's face nuzzling the animal I absolutely fear the worst. I don't trust pit bulls despite the fact I'm a firm believer that dog owners are responsible for most of the problems with dogs. It does just seem to be the case that something "snaps" with that breed unlike any other.

The best comedy comes from dark places.

"Jim, I can barely understand what you're saying...will you please stop mumbling?" Too dark?

Is that BADOL's name -- Scott? That's hilarious, since ScottLaw is the puppy always nipping at his heels for approval!
