By all accounts Elam is just a victim of the numbers game right now, but do we really want to lose that depth? Injuries to CBs are pretty common.

Ralph insisted that the Bills and Fish remain in the same division. Don’t think that will ever change. -
They had to make the move to Dalton. They have some players.

It’s a year-to-year thing, and the good GMs always figure it out. -

The Bills are not in cap hell. They took a one year calculated hit to get Diggs off the team and move on from others. Next year they'll have a 4M dead cap hit for Tre White but nothing else over 162K (currently). And where the age on a team is concentrated does indeed matter -- perhaps not for the current season, but when looking ahead. -

Any SNL/Jesse Jackson fans out there? "The question is moot!" Or in this case, Smoot! -

Maybe it has finally gotten through to them that the Smurf look isn't a winner? We can only hope. -

Depends upon where the age is emphasized. -

Playing your typical word games when you get trapped. The Bills have three starters on D 30 or older (Douglas, Jones, Milano) when healthy. The O has one (Dawkins). ST have two (Martin, Ferguson) but I don't think the age of your long snapper or punter are particularly relevant to the discussion. So 4 out of 22 are 30 or older. That's the point of the thread. They have some veteran depth and rotational players but the core of the team is not old because they jettisoned at least five guys who skewed the starting roster VERY old (Morse, Diggs, Poyer, Hyde, Tre). The 29-year-olds on the roster are MVS, Smoot, and Morrow -- not a starter among them. Tell us again how they are not a "young" team in any regard? -
Well deserved. Keep it going, Jimbo!

Man, this place is toxic. A guy can't even post a relevant stat about one of our receivers (who has been discussed ad nauseam this offseason) without being eviscerated. WE ALL KNOW IT'S ONLY TWO WEEKS. The alternative would be seeing that list with Coleman at the bottom. What do you think the narrative would be around here then? Some of you need to decide whether you are Buffalo Bills fans, or just miserable pessimists who have to be right all the time.

Guys, please...come reading comprehension would be nice. The Bills have some older DEPTH players that drive up the overall age of the roster. -

Starters. It says it right in the heading. I didn't make it up, it was either on ESPN or the Athletic. -

I think you're missing the point. Beane specifically moved on from older guys who were both expensive AND weren't getting us over the hump, and so far we haven't seen a dropoff. -
Disclaimer: Von Miller doesn't count as a starter. After being one of the older starting rosters in the league a year ago, this speaks to how well Beane is transitioning this team for the future while still keeping them a legitimate competitor for the Lombardi. KC has done it also -- which sucks. Miami, meanwhile, has a starting roster older than dirt. We're lucky to have Big Baller Beane pulling the strings.

Bojo had "the greatest punt you'll watch this season"

Agree! Almost unlistenable. I muted it so I could see BoJo's punt, which was awesome. -

Very well explained, however studies show that in the NFL, bad teams don't beat good teams any more frequently in the "trap" scenario than under other circumstances. The bottom line is that in the NFL the margin between victory and defeat is razor thin and taking any game for granted is a recipe for disaster. -
