  1. That GW FG was as pure a kick as you will ever see. Good lord, it was straight down the middle and would have been good from 70. If that doesn't give Bass his mojo back nothing will.
  2. It all depends upon whether he's doing his "schtick" or not. When he is calm, he presents many rational thoughts. I just don't listen to any of these shows because they are all competing for air time so they're all obnoxious.
  3. The Jests and Fish are clearly in trouble. The odds of either making a run to the playoffs this season are incredibly slim. While the Fish probably get a bit more of a “pass” with the Tua injury, the Jests are an abject failure on so many levels. Rodgers isn’t Rodgers any more, and they can’t seriously go into next season thinking he has “one more run” in him. They have to start fresh at QB, and in the meantime they have wasted several prime years of what should be an elite defense. They fired their coach because the owner is impatient and a meddler. They have a lot of very good players but are rudderless. Miami is still not good enough on defense, and they have the ever-present specter of another Tua head injury. Tyreek isn’t getting any younger. I think they are what they are…a team that goes anywhere from 7-10 to 10-7. McDaniel is a weirdo but has shown me enough to believe he is a decent head coach, however the Fish also have a meddling owner so who knows what happens? I might agree that the Pats*** are in the best position to rise up to #2. It all depends on Maye. He has certainly shown flashes in his rookie year but I wonder if he will hold up physically. He is running a lot and doesn’t have the physique of a typical running QB. They still just have a lot of holes to fill. With the way the Bills’ cap shakes out next season Beane will be able to get creative and add pieces. Josh is only just beginning the prime years of his career. Unless something crazy happens I think the next three seasons (at least) are the Bills’ to lose.
  4. I agree with a lot of this, and I don’t want anyone to take my comments as an indication that I am “confident” about the Bills’ ability to stop good teams in the playoffs — but aside from the KC AFCCG in ‘20 and the Cinci home playoff game a couple of years ago they’ve been around at the end with a chance to win every other playoff game. As a fan, how can I be upset about that? And I will continue to say that “luck” is a terribly under-appreciated component of playoff games as well.
  5. I never thought Poyer was a dirty player but I’ve seen him take two reckless, unnecessary shots against Bills this year — Shakir and Coleman. Truth be told, I just think he’s playing with a little more “juice” against the Bills and therefore crossed the line.
  6. Baltimore must think it’s still Halloween because they just traded for the ghost of Tre White.
  7. I see what you did there. What was so comical was that Trent Green was already calling it against Moestert!!
  8. Seriously. I don’t think Miami can play any better and they still lost to the Bills. The ultra-conservative game plan on D was intentional. And it basically worked, since the Bills didn’t trail after halftime. It’s a shame the Bills don’t have the ‘85 Bears D. The unit is dealing with injuries, youth, and yesterday, a very good Miami game plan. You don’t win them all by 20 points, and most of us knew Miami would treat this as a do-or-die game for their season. Now, if the Colts’ offense is successful next week I might have a different take…
  9. Allen had a very good game. The INT was obviously not on him, and when he missed throws he missed them in safe spots. He led the Bills to scores on five consecutive drives to end the game!!!
  10. I’m going to disagree with @GunnerBill here and say that based upon what I’ve been watching I think Davis does demonstrate excellent vision as a runner.
  11. Just spitballing here but I think the underthrows are somewhat intentional. If the QB tries to put extra on it there is the chance for an overthrow and INT. If the throw is intentionally low or “short” the only guy who’s going to catch it is your guy. Thoughts?
  12. What??? Clearly a dirty play, and DPI could have been called as well!!! That’s not being “bailed out” because Josh put a perfect ball out there and Poyer had to cheat to break it up.
  13. Very gutsy win by the Bills yesterday. I knew Miami would come out swinging and they played perhaps as well as they can play. Still, the game was only close because of a couple of horrible calls and the Coleman gaffe. The back-to-back holds on Dawkins and O’Torrence were atrocious. Unbelievable moment for Bass and the bottom line is that they found a way to get it done.
  14. Exactly. It was 21-10 and we had the ball at midfield, when Brady had his WTF moment. If we play "normal" football at that point the game could have very well gone in a different direction. I don't think that W4 result is at all indicative of what might happen down the road in the playoffs.
  15. Glad to see someone else thought this. I was at a Halloween party so only kept one eye on the game (with no sound), but when I was watching I just thought how bad both teams looked.
  16. IMHO you think incorrectly. If you can get open and catch the ball in this league you are valuable. Shakir is only starting to scratch the surface.
  17. And in other breaking news, Federalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead.
  18. We were taught that in Little League. Just a huge brain fart, particularly for a starting pitcher.
  19. I feel like Codrington is going to break one soon...and Solomon almost blocked a punt last week. ST are actually my main area of concern with this team, which is why I'm happy they got Codrington.
  20. I guess you don't recall the days of holding your breath on each punt return.
  21. All of his kicks the past two weeks have been dead straight. He was quoted as saying he treats a 30-yard kick just like a 50-yard kick so I think this bodes well for the rest of the season.
  22. Codrington would be a pretty significant loss. Despite his gaffe last week (catching punt at the 2) he has been a very pleasant surprise in the return game. Hope the fact he rejoined practice means it was just a temporary scare.
