  1. Your thoughts are shared by many Carolina fans; I’m not saying you’re wrong, just that a lot of us think differently. I’ve always dreamed of us being a legitimate football school as well. The times have changed and this is our chance to show we will compete and be one of those top schools.
  2. A lot of ignorance in this thread. If Belichick can get the NIL money (currently UNC’s NIL budget for football is around 5M, it needs to be 5x that) there is no reason to think he can’t immediately make the Heels a perennial playoff contender. Kids will flock to be coached by one of the greatest and play at a beautiful university to boot. I don’t know whether the deal gets done but as an alum I’m behind it 100%.
  3. I know these guys all want to be head coaches, but walking into that New Orleans situation just seems like a recipe for disaster. Horrible cap, no QB, and aging players. That said, there’s always somebody out there who thinks he has the answers.
  4. You sound like one of UNC's "blue blood" trustees who think "we're better than that." UNC is an NCAA powerhouse in many sports...they are indeed on the level of the best athletic schools in the country. They need to commit to bringing the football program to where it can and should be, because football dwarfs everything else now.
  5. The problem for the rest of the AFCE, as has been noted elsewhere, is that THIS was supposed to be the year for them to “catch” the Bills, and all three teams failed miserably. Next year I see the Fish still finishing 2nd, and it’s possible the Pats*** overtake the Jests for 3rd. As long as Beane/McD/Allen are in Orchard Park the Bills will be the class of the division.
  6. The Bills have thankfully seemed to settle in on the blue-over-white and white-over-blue combo for this season. I think those are the only combos they’ve worn during this 7-game winning streak, no?
  7. Correct. I don't think the play in question is a problem.
  8. He's not awful; he's just not a difference maker. He plays soundly within the system and for the most part does what he is supposed to do. I equate Hamlin's play to that of Mark Kelso during the early 90s. He does a serviceable job but he doesn't impact the game. If Micah Hyde is healthy and in shape, he impacts the game.
  9. Does anyone think there is one person in the Bills' locker room (Hamlin included) who would question Micah being inserted into the starting lineup if he shows he is in football shape? I don't. There is nothing but upside to this move.
  10. And there it is. Signed to the PS!
  11. I truly believe that some guys have their heels dug in so deeply that even a Super Bowl win wouldn't be genuinely satisfying to them because they'd struggle to find some "excuse" for why the Bills won despite their inept HC.
  12. The Schnowman is a treasure…and don’t tell me these guys don’t (or shouldn’t) care about and appreciate division titles. Fans are dumb with their “only the playoffs matter” takes.
  13. Based upon the tone of so many posts on this board? No, I don’t think some are.
  14. You didn’t answer my question. How did that hurt the Bills? The Indy game was a 17-point lead until the final seconds. The Jets game was only close because of a busted Hail Mary at the end of the first half. Miami played their best game of the season and still couldn’t beat us. Would the Bills like to stuff every running play at the line? Of course. But their philosophy and scheme is to limit big plays, and those typically come in the passing game. They have made a conscious decision to rely upon their front four and LBs to “control” the run game while they focus on shutting down big plays in the passing game. It seems to have served them well. We all know that playoff results will be the the proof in the pudding.
  15. Aside from Henry’s 87 yarder, when exactly has an opponent’s running game hurt the Bills this year?
  16. Rapp has been a very pleasant surprise. I was worried he was a reckless headhunter but he has thus far proven me wrong.
  17. Surprisingly, some of McD’s and Beane’s most vocal critics on this board are guys who are old enough to know better. I can’t for the life of me understand how true Bills fans can’t sit back and enjoy this ride. Doing so doesn’t mean you think everything they do is perfect; it’s just enjoying life and appreciating things over which you have no control but bring you joy. Go Bills!!!
  18. As I mentioned in the game thread, I and the Mrs. will be there. Not going to the tailgate, though...went a couple of years ago before the opener out there and it was a schitt-show. Besides, we got hooked up with suite tickets so we'll get in there a couple of hours before the game to enjoy the amenities. Can't wait!
  19. Yep. Good friends since the 2018 draft process.
  20. Haha, wish I could, brother. We were invited and there are no extra seats to be had...should be a blast!
  21. Am I remembering incorrectly, or did this guy have some questionable hits against the Bills earlier this year as well?
  22. Houston wasn't going to beat KC anyway. The Chargers and Steelers will do that for us.
  23. Watching what a great teammate Hollins is, and his contributions on the field, it's mind-boggling this is his 4th team in four years. Just seems like the kind of "glue" guy you'd want to keep around.
  24. Time to splurge for the inflight WiFi, my friend...
