If he is around, would really like Christian Boyd. One tech when DaQuan done. Can rotate now. Did Malik Washington and Rice steal something and nobody told me? It is bad enough we don't want them, but I don't get that NOBODY wants them. I was mocking Washington to us at 128 and usually not getting him. Get our new Beasly!

Happy with this pick. We have addressed 3 of our biggest needs. Let's hope they picked the right guys - only time will tell.

Feels like CHIEFS panicked. They knew we were not taking Worthy -- had to have realized that or been told that in our discussion. So they gave up a nice little package to jump Baltimore and SF? Good move Beane! This board would have called Baltimore stupid if they took Worthy and been cheering because Legette and McConkey were still there. This is well played by Beane, IMHO.

Would not hate this. There are a few non-receivers I would sure like to have on five year deals. The problem is when I do mocks (and I have done an embarrassing number on every simulator), there are no wideouts I want left by 60 save Roman Wilson and Piersall -- and those two are there only some of the time. If we go non-WR in the first, unless we move up I think we step down in class to people I like, but don't like enough - Thrash, Baker, Malik Washington, Rice, McCaffrey. I am fine with all of those, but not as the best wideout we get from this draft. I think we need a receiver #1 - it is a premium position and the talent is there to lock up a good one on a cheap five year deal. Tempting, but he is built like a walking stick. Have you seen photos of his legs? Look like wrists! The best explanation I heard -- and maybe it was Marino - is that what counts is separation. If they are all separators, some similarity should not be a detriment.

This would be equally fine with me! If that's what the team thinks. But I kind of hope they go with one of those two (McConkey or Legette) in round 1 and get the other in the combo in round 4 or even 5 (Malik Washington could last).

Unfortunately a Gabe replacement is a bag of balls. Me too. Tez Walker and I bust my phone.

Thanks. Couldn't find where I put this, so I re-did it!

Curious - if you had to chose between Legette and McConkey at 28 -- who do you take? Personally I take McConkey (but I really like Legette too). My thinking is -- McConkey is may be the best separator in the draft. If a receiver can separate Josh will find him (as he found Beasly). After Harrison and Odumze, other than Legette, there are not big-bodied X's I truly love. I like Thomas, but I assume he is gone (and he is not really a size match-up problem). I don't trust Mitchell or Franklin, do not like Coleman or Walker. I would take McConkey and be sure to get Brendan Rice later. While he has some limitations, all scouting reports seem to say that the 6'4" Rice has elite acceleration and can really take the top off. Having an X that can do that would be great. Shakir and McConkey can be really strong mixed through as the Z and slot. Both of them can get deep as well. Personally, I would take McConkey, Defense at 60, move up from 128 to get Rice and spend the rest of my picks on defense (save maybe an IOL and very late RB (like pick 248)). Thoughts?
