The safe "they did a nice job getting there with a back-up" reputation-assuring thing to do at your 40 is punt. However, that, IMHO, would have been the reckless move. I believe it would have sealed the Eagles fate. Eagles D was gassed and showed no sign of being able to slow, much less stop, Brady. It was a tremendously courageous game-winning decision that cannot be diminished. He would have been crucified if it failed, but it still would have been the right move. Tip of my cap to the man, so impressive.

Brady is by far better than Montana in my view. Different time - Montana had loaded, loaded rosters. Brady doing it in era of parity is sick. Hate him, but give the devil his due.

McDermott and Beane took over a hot mess left by the Ryan carnival. For once, I have complete faith in the ability of the Bills organization to be on top of the trends and to have the ability to fashion a roster to win in the NFL as it exists today and is going to exist five years from now.

I have been a strong TT supporter for a host of reasons. But I think we need a QB who can get it down the field. So while I wish TT the very, very best, I think it is time to get a QB. McDermott and Beane will know better than I by far, but based on what I know I would like: Baker.

Dennison is horrible. Keep TT and let our draft pick QB take over when ready. Stinks losing today, but in many years of fandom this is one of my all-time favorite Bills teams. We don't have all that much talent. McDermott squeezed every drop out of the team. They played like a team and they played smart. With some money and a fistful of picks better days are coming!

I completely agree with the OP. KB seems like a great guy that loves the game and is committed to his profession. Can't have enough of those. Hope we sign him.

We just need to go beat New England. We are not going to Super Bowl this year absent a miracle. So I don't get all the hand-wringing around getting us in if we lose to NE. Not that big a deal to have a "token" playoff appearance regardless of drought length in my opinion. Just beat New England. If you don't, assume you screwed your playoff chances. This needs to be the mentality. If we don't beat them we are still alive week 17 anyhow, but there is a good chance we don't make it. So what, good for our team to be in a game against a team like Pats where they can win to control their destiny. if they don't, it is just part of team evolution. Backing in does nothing for me personally, don't care if drought is 100 years. I will take the back-in, don't get me wrong -- but front door should be the mentality. Beat the Pats.
