  1. Allen the man! Can't wait to see him launch it 70 yards! He is so big he can block for himself. AND THOSE HANDS! Beauties!
  2. Allen is rated higher than Rosen almost everywhere that i have seen. And since none of us know ANYTHING compared to the diligence the Bills did why not just get behind Allen. He is in fact our QB and has done nothing wrong on the field for us. I have never seen so much irrational love for a player as this board has expressed for Rosen. He was there but WE DID NOT WANT HIM. End of story. If years prove it a mistake you can crow about it later. But you can't possibly be correct tonight so get over Rosen, he ain't playing here - never, ever, ever. Except on a visiting team. Suck it up.
  3. I get the draft value chart. Fear was vast overpayment. Didn't have to give up our draft. Edmunds too! Didn't give up next year. Got a 6'5" QB with a cannon who can run. I think the accuracy will be fine - based on 2nd half of senior bowl. Showed touch. Wishing Rosen the best, but really did NOT want him. Yippee!
  4. Can't believe we got Allen for that price. Yahoo!
  5. Never wanted Rosen. Out of the league injured in 3 years I fear - hope not for the kid. ALLEN!
  6. If it was not a real Rosen account, my bad, but really. We just didn't want him. Get over it. ALLEN BABY!
  7. Bye-bye baby Rosen. What a ****, tweeted he would love to be part of Bills - now he dodged them? Hello Allen!
  8. Allen is the one I have wanted, and I like everything else I have heard about the kid. Nevertheless, those tweets are not good. Always an excuse for a white athlete - he is a kid, it was a mistake. Words matter. And while I don't think these words necessarily mean he is a racist, they were uttered in 2013 not 1953. And as such even at 16 he should have known better. So while I would not judge him a racist based on these tweets they do reflect bad judgment. Having said that the reaction seems about right - he deserves some criticism and to apologize and that should be the end of it.
  9. Or it could be true, don't want Darnold, and trying to drum up bidding on No. 1 pick for which so far they allegedly received "no legit offers"? Get 'er done Beane! Truth: The ultimate smoke.
  10. Could be erl business?
  11. Didn't he own fracking leases in Ohio?
  12. I don't want Rosen, but now I don't want him less. ' All in for any QB they choose. I was nervous about this a week ago, but the calming realization (albeit belated) that it is utterly out of my hands has left me sanguine.
  13. Yeah dude, you are here a lot just like me. Just enjoy it. I have been watching them since the 1960s - so your 1990s tenure leaves you many years of suffering before you throw up your hands. This management group knows what their doing. Whether it is Allen they want or someone else (including Rosen, who I really don't want), they will have done their diligence. We are allowed to be excited about whomever they pick until performance on the field proves them wrong. No one knows who the right call is.
  14. Sadly I suspect that you are correct.
  15. Given the Browns sordid QB history I would be shocked if they take Allen given that his value is significantly based on projecting future performance. They need more of a sure thing, a higher floor Allen is the guy I would love the Bills to get, and at 12 would be perfect. I have not dared to dream Darnold, but if Browns take Allen or Mayfield - get 2 done for Darnold! But I strongly suspect this is smoke.
  16. I think they stay at 1 and take a QB unless they can get to 2 and know the QB they want will be there.
  17. I hope he goes all in for Rosen at 9 and spends his draft capital, and we get Allen at 12. Then we get some edge rushers that can drive Brady and then Rosen into the rubber pellets at The Ralph.
  18. Based on little more than Allen's Senior Bowl and Rosen's concussions -- jump for joy.
  19. Browns were willing to go what - a 2 and a 3 for McCarron?
  20. I completely agree with the OP. If our admin likes one of them well enough to make them a high pick I am all in. All the pre-draft stuff is hogwash. Long shots make it, medium shots make it and sure-shots misfire plenty. So all anyone has is an educated guess. I trust McDermott and Bean's educated guess as much as anyone's whether or not their guy works out (if they pick one). Why? Because I believe they will have done all the homework they can which is all any fan can ask. Sometimes the best laid plans are not good enough. For now, if they take a guy (even hot tub boy), I will be all in and keep the faith unless and until proven otherwise.
  21. I would love that draft. Assuming Esch's neck is okay.
  22. Would love Smith. While I have no confidence he will ultimately be a starter in the league, I am not nearly as done with Peterman as the popular press seems to be. Like McCarron he is a worker and competitor. I think Beane and McDermott like him. And his catastrophic NFL start was a lot like his collegiate start, which he overcame. Agree we need to draft a QB with talent, but don't dislike McCarron and Peterman. Would be fun to get Smith if they really like someone like Rudolph, Luletta or White (and are not just settling)!
  23. I have it on what I consider pretty good authority that Jets very much like Rosen so I don't believe he is off their board. I posted this once before and a poster said "no you don't." Er, okay, believe what you will. I stand by my comment that they like him. I have no scoop on Jets view of Mayfield and my Jets fans friends insist they love him. If they like both Mayfield and Rosen a great deal it explains why they were comfortable going to three far in advance (likely presuming/knowing Darnold or Allen are #1). And I have no idea whether they like Rosen or Mayfield more. I hope they like Rosen -- my wish for the Bills is Allen and I don't want Rosen one bit. Having said that the Rosen vs. Allen debate is greatly polarizing our fine board. Can we settle on hoping for Baker at #5 or 6? I have not heard much Mayfield hate. I would be delighted and willing to let go of my largely unfounded passion for Allen.
