  1. Found this from 2010, is it still the rule? If so, how many have we signed since end of regular season? Clubs participating in the playoffs are permitted to sign free agents throughout the postseason, but are limited to a total of four free agent signings, including players on other clubs' Practice Squads, during the period that begins at 4 p.m., New York time, on the Wednesday after the final regular season weekend."
  2. Physical traits can be similar, but you can't replace Milano's heart, work ethic and instincts. Pay the man.
  3. I would rather Mahomes plays because it is the right thing to wish the man good health and a speedy recovery. Anything else risks a violation of karma so great that anything can happen. A Homerun Throwback. I have faith in this team regardless of opponent. And if they fall short, let them leave it all on the field and walk away with heads held high. And if they triumph let them go to the Super Bowl knowing they just beat a quarterback just as challenging as Rogers or Brady.
  4. Loved Poyer's block, as well as Milano's, not sure which was more important.
  5. I am a yes - what a monster he was last night. Has come a long, long way from the "personal foul a game" Jerry drag racing with Dareus. Hothead to emotional leader, great evolution over his career.
  6. Really is pretty loud - I didn't think 6700 could do that much!
  7. Re-watched the pick-six about 20x this morning, as I suspect many of us have. All credit to Taron. An unsung hero on the play is Matt Milano - he gets just enough of a block on Mark Andrews to help spring Johnson out of the end zone. Taron is untouched after that. Milano had a monster game, and this play shows a couple of his best traits: Always hustling, and a nose for being in the right place at the right time. I pray we re-sign him.
  8. And really should have beat the Steelers but for a second half collapse. Steelers hit a few big plays, but I thought Indy was the better team.
  9. I said it the other day - humble and hungry is right on. The great Bills of the 90s would get too much swagger sometimes, stay out too late, say the wrong thing. Our team gave the Colts their due before the game and we should give it to them after. They played a terrific game, great game plan, great players. I expected at least one INT from Rivers and he just never threw it to us. Respect.
  10. It was a terrible call, but to win the Super Bowl we are going to have to overcome a couple of those in the tournament. I choose to look at it like we got one of the bad calls we will get, overcame it and put it behind us.
  11. We have our place kicker! Bass was cool as ice from 54 when we needed it.
  12. Trust the I was just about to type "trust the process" - if they elevated Duke, Duke needed to be elevated! Meaning - I trust he is the right elevation, and they have a purpose in mind for elevating him. McDermott and Beane not elevating him out of "Duke Love".
  13. I like "humble and hungry" - for me, only, I am giving nothing but respect to Indy. If we beat them, respect to both teams. Then on to the next. Character counts. Integrity matters. You can just feel those qualities ooze from this team. I am confident that all the men and women affiliated with the Bills, from the bottom of the organization to the top, players and coaches, will give their all for their team, their teammates and the City of Buffalo. I cannot ask more than that.
  14. It bothers me. The level Josh is on now no one could have seen. But he was a very good quarterback last year who made some young-QB mistakes and needed to add touch on the deep ball. From day 1 he displayed elite leadership, competitiveness, movement skills and arm strength. So it bothers me a lot when they suggest Allen was not good last year. It bothered me greatly when all the media this year said the big question for the Bills was at quarterback. It bothered me when the Jets fans around me were insistent Darnold was better in years 1 & 2 (it was obvious to me he wasn't). I think the storyline that this year came out of the blue short-changes the young man on all the work he put in the prior years and all he showed on the field which, while imperfect, was winning QB play for a year 1 and year 2 QB.
  15. He has the Bee's knees. So that means he is good to go, Bee's knees is a good thing.
  16. I wonder how that jerk from ESPN who takes delight in any struggles Josh has feels these days. Haaaa!
  17. One I would add a shout-out for who is rarely mentioned: Ed Oliver. I think our first round pick is rounding in to form. He was consistently disruptive. Eppenesa too - I thought he killed Stidham. Kid is going to provide pass rush.
  18. Sad commentary that Sean is now third in wins. He just got here and the first two years were rebuilding! Says a lot about McDermott that he did a total rebuild and has the record he does. My favorite coach. Not sure I am objective 😄
  19. While what you wrote is mathematically correct, indisputable, I think it does not adequately credit what McDermott and Beane have built and are building. What you wrote is certainly not lost on them. That is the thing with this coach/GM combo - they have a long-term view. I believe, and hope, they will manage the transition from having a terrific QB on a rookie deal to a team with a superstar QB on his second contract. They have already shown they can hit on draft picks and reasonably priced vet signings. Hyde, Poyer, Williams, Beasley and Brown were all modestly priced. Outside of the first round: Dawkins, Milano, Bass, Epenesa, Wallace, Singletary, Moss, Davis, to name a few. Who knows what the future holds, but enjoy the ride and trust The Process!!
  20. Were any other posters at Allen's first preseason game? I will never forget what I think was his first play - like a 60 yard rocket to Robert Foster, incomplete. But it did not look like other NFL passes at all. Relatively low trajectory fastball for what seemed 60 yards. Probably not the best kind of ball for completion, but holy cow was it impressive. The whole crowd (which was modest, at best) was buzzing. For an incompletion. Found a link. The pass I am referring to is his first here: Every Josh Allen pass | Preseason Week 1 (buffalobills.com)
  21. A little off topic, but looking up some stats related to this: 1. Brees has exceeded 5,000 yards 5x? Sick. Considering what Josh's 4300 looks like, must have been fun to be a Saints fan. 2. Love this one - Most yards passing in a game is still from 1951: Norm Van Brocklin with 544 yards. NEVER would have guessed that.
