NFL Week 8: Packers at Bills - post game thread
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
They lost by 10. The OPI call cost them 4 (not 7), 24-10 instead of 24-14. They scored to make it 27-17 with 6 or so left... that would have made it 27-21. I'm not sure they even attempt the FG down 6 there as they'd still need the onside kick, and another likely long FG. At the same time, you don't know if that changes mindset in the red zone because 27-14 is a 2 score game vs. 3. Buffalo might try and run it in and settle for the easy 3 to make it 16 (2 scores, but borderline 3 as you need 2 conversions). -

The one where he just flat out missed kumerow... yeesh. It would've come back on a penalty anyway, but sailing it forced the punt. -
Defense vs Green Bay and their performance
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
There was a 3rd and 1 where he stiff armed a DT in the backfield and got like 8 yards. He was on a mission. -

He's out of the pocket... throw that out of bounds and take the 3. -
Bills Undercover: Isaiah McKenzie
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Warcodered's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think that's an overstatement. He's got 3 TDs this year. He had a bad game against KC... I'd like to see him come down with that pass on 4th down but it was not a very good throw either. I get what allen is trying to do throwing it to the back shoulder away from contact but he had to basically try and stop while running full speed. As for the fumble... uhhh don't pitch that backwards. -

Kadarius Toney to the Chiefs for picks
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to wolfpack78's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think they were both muffed punts. Maybe they'll use Toney as a returner, don't really need much practice to contribute right away in that role. -

Bills release new stadium renderings
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah, put me in the anti-dome group for a few reasons The lighting always seems off on TV, its like basement lighting vs. outdoor lighting. Buffalo can't host a super bowl so its hard to justify additional expenses of that magnitude when it likely does nothing to increase revenue It doesn't seem like it makes sense to build a dome in OP, and the infrastructure doesn't exist to do it downtown anywhere Football should be played outdoors -
Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Combination with playcalling- they run the ball too much and not particularly effectively. Not enough first down passing, not enough play action. 1st down? they're looking to run. 3rd and short? run. It's so predictable. Teams load the box and they still run. As for the WRs - watching like 3 denver games this year I'm not a big fan. I know Wilson missed a few reads - but on other ones no one is open, then he scrambles, and still no one is open. Sutton is a good player, but he's basically parker (or Metcalf lite - not as fast or physical) so you're a bit limited in what you can do with him. Nothing at the TE position. Jeudy and Hamler are supposed to be fast route running options and i just never see them making plays. The coordinator/coach doesn't know how to scheme up anything either. I know Hacketts likely to get fired, hes terrible at gameday management so why even hire a seasoned coordinator - just start fresh. My guess is Sean Payton, they're going to want someone with HC experience to try and get the team together around Wilson. And they will pay a lot of money to do so. -
Between FA and injuries they are a shell of their previous oline. Same with the rams. It gets better over the year as the new guys seem to gel so those are a couple teams that i think improve in the NFC as the season progresses. Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
Very true. If WRs are what is killing your offense its a no brainer. The problem is... Denver's WRs are killing their offense and he is one of them. -
A couple of my friends who i've watched games with are just miserable the entire time. Zack moss has a 1 yard carry and they lose it for 10 minutes - "Terrible playcalling" "Moss is terrible" "the line sucks" "were going to lose this game". By the time hes done he doesn't realize were all high fiving because we scored. I get it to an extent? But i have to be like, they are trying to get another guy going at RB be it cook or moss - they'd like DS to be healthy and 100% for playoffs. I was sitting in front of a guy who was complaining about allen the entire time - during a blowout win against pittsburgh. My buddy literally said "do you even like this team? why are you here?".

Broncos getting trade calls for Jeudy and Chubb
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBills1998's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm open to Chubb if it sends out another contract - the only one they'd probably want is AJ or Boogie though. As for any of their WRs - its clear to me that none of them are worth what the ask likely is. -

He was supposed to be this great route runner who's always open, with the best hands in his class. He never is. He drops balls. Isn't a deep threat despite his 40 time. Full guarantee for year 4 which is reasonable, but then you basically have to dump him to UFA because there is 0 chance you give that guy a 5th year option. Chubb is also... a good player? -
Who do you want this week, Jets or Pats?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to gtw3's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the patriots offense at this juncture is probably still better than the jets with the recent injuries. The Jets defense seems to be playing really well though, and whether Bill likes it or not, teams seem to give NE their best shot lately. -
Eagles make big move. Trade for Robert Quinn
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Quinn has some money tied to him that buffalo could not have accomondated without sending salary back. -
Yeah - what are we losing without Hyde? I dunno, tackling ability, ball skills, experience... general skill.

Perhaps - but by how much? Jonnu Smith makes 12.5 AAV, same with Hunter Henry. Evan Engram got 9M AAV. Will Dissly got 8M AAV. Gesicki and Schulz are both UFAs after this year and both probably are in that same realm. Statistically he doesn't jump off the paper this year - a couple of leg injuries probably don't help there. Needs to get more involved in the red zone, and i think playcalling will trend in that direction over the course of the season. Target share wise - Running back targets are up from 15.4% to 22.1% this year. TE targets are at 12.8% vs 13.3% a year ago. Diggs target share is up this year as well from 26.3 to 27.7% (Continuing on the same rate of about 39 PAs per game, Diggs is on pace for 183 targets which approaches Kupp territory). My thoughts? It's early in the season, and largely a fluid situation. We're using the backs more because teams are letting us do it.
