  1. I'm not giving up a 1st round pick for a running back on a bad contract. He has like no salary this year.
  2. None of the rest of that deal is guaranteed. Or flat out cut - you're trading for him for 1 year and you have the option basically to keep him again at that salary, or re-work the deal.
  3. I think Kumerow is probably active over hodgins simply for blocking and special teams.
  4. He was perpetually injured in college too. You take shots on players like this late in the draft because... they could turn out to be good players. You can't teach speed, ball tracking, etc. But an oft injured player can't be relied upon.
  5. I think Stevenson is likely to either sit on IR indefinitely, or get an injury settlement.
  6. I'm not going to just bench Mckenzie forever - its a fluid spot as it was before. Some games it might be a shakir, others mckenzie.
  7. Offensive lines tend to take some time to gel. I've never been a big fan of the Bengals coach, but at some point i think they're gonna start slinging it.
  8. I think Mckenzie getting more jet and motion snaps can help fix some of the issues in the run game. Not every time, but the occaisional mckenzie pitch/handoff has to keep them honest on that motion. Might help open up some cutback lanes for the backs.
  9. Probably just going to split some snaps until someone takes the job. Or keep moving people around.
  10. If people are healthy enough to play, they will play. Phillips and oliver need to play - we need the PS call ups for WR and CB/S. Since lewis has been playing some at safety, i assume it'd be a boundary WR and corner.
  11. Fanduel sportsbook. Thats my Craps strategy - if im in vegas i decide in advance how many games i want to play - and how much money for each. If i go to a casino in buffalo I'll take out how much i want to play with in the ATM and that goes right on the table. I don't reach for my wallet again until im cashing out.
  12. I have a few: Matt Cassel and Jerry Hughes were on my plane in the offseason we signed Cassel. After this I KNEW Cassel didn't have the mental makeup to be a good QB. Cassel - had priority boarding in first class. hung out away from the gate after he checked in. basically waited with sunglasses on and snuck on the plane, then sat in the window seat with his hat and glasses covering his face. Hughes - Sat at the gate, signed autographs and talked to fans, with his wife and kids in tow. While eating fried chicken. This past spring (maybe cinco de mayo, place was a freaking zoo) i went to Maizal in East Amherst and McKenzie and Moss were there with a few of the rookies. I know i saw Shakir Cook and maybe Bernard? In any case, they sat in the middle of the restaurant and i believe we sang happy birthday to Bernard and then obviously they got the restaurant bumping the shout song. The last one was way back in my younger days at encore. Met Eric wood and a few other linemen. Wood was quiet, Chris Hairston made out with my friend and was among the largest humans ive ever met.
  13. Like rushing Allen - discipline in your rush lane and depth is important. We hadn't gone around the edge much on that tackle all day, and LJ hit the pocket super deep on that 4th down. Definitely a gamble since if LJ shakes you there they probably score, but the vet saw blood in the water and made a play.
  14. Same game prop parlays are pretty fun - gives you a vesting interest in a specific game you have on. Something like cowboys rams becomes a bit more fun if its like - Cowboys defense 4+ sacks Elliot to score 1 TD Kupp to... i dunno not score. If all 3 hit you get paid a pretty good payout and it gives you something to cheer for in a meaningless NFC game. I like to do them in the SNF/MNF games that i half watch.
  15. Seems like Lawson has been seeing the field a bit more in some of those run fits situations.
  16. Marpet Retired. replaced by rookie Goedeke Cappa got a raise in cincy. replaced by Mason Jensen carted off in training camp. replaced by 2nd year Hainsey Smith banged up, missed 2 games already. Swing tackle Wells is on IR with calf injury. So basically they're using 3 new linemen from a year ago, and a 3rd stringer has played snaps at LT. Also they don't have Arians. It's a bit of a mess there right now.
  17. Tavon Austin and TJ MCdonald for EJ Manuel Kiko Alonso and Marquise Goodwin. Kiko at least got us Shady (who played on our playoff team) so I'll call it a Bills win.
  18. It's a high ankle sprain - he's gonna struggle putting weight on it. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he doesn't finish the next game he starts. The already slow dude is going to be drew bledsoe out there.
  19. Takes 2 to tango - any team signing him off the PS has to keep him on the 53 for 3 weeks. He's never played a down in the NFL and was drafted in 2020. There are like 30-40 WRs drafted every year plus UDFA's. There are a LOT of guys out there on Practice squads who are the exact same player as hodgins, and probably know their teams playbooks.
  20. Yeah - if he falls behind jackson and elam. Its not even necessarily for this year.
  21. Why are we moving our best corner to safety?? Why not move jackson or benford?
  22. I imagine he'd be a pretty good safety honestly.
