Yup - Combine moves everyone up and down the boards. But until free agency is a bit more settled, who knows what the needs even are?

I never rule it out - the best team from the offseason rarely wins the super bowl. Hell, the best team during the season doesn't even win it most of the time. Punch a ticket - thats the goal. If the jets get rodgers, and the dolphins get brady blah blah blah. I don't care - win the 9 or 10 games and get to the playoffs. Then anything can happen. Focus on getting healthy, and playing your best ball in january.

Smith - they traded for... felt like an overpay but he was good for them last year. Leonard was 1st team all-pro 3/4 years so... usually the type of guy you want to pay and keep. Mosley's deal is bad because he played 2 games through the first 2 years of the deal. Before that he was one of the best ILBs in football, and the last 2 years he has been a good player. Tremaine has made less of an impact in 5 seasons, than any of these guys did. I just don't see how it ends up well for the team signing him at that number.

Almost everyone missed time with injuries. Taron Johnson was the only person to not miss a game. DBs: Hyde Missed most of the season. Poyer missed 4 games. Hamlin missed the rest of the season. White missed camp, and several games. Jackson missed a game and was on the injury report for others. Benford hit IR and missed 7 weeks. Elam missed 2 games. LBs: Milano missed a game and was on injury report. Edmunds missed 3 games and was on injury report for a 4th. DL: Miller missed 5 reg season and playoffs. Rousseau missed 3 games, and didn't seem as effective when he returned (Seemed rushed after Miller hit IR). Epenesa and Basham both missed a game Oliver missed 3 games and was on injury report for 2 others. Daquan Jones missed the Bengals game. Phillips missed time with 2 injuries, and was on injury report several times. Settle was on injury report and missed a week. Ankou went to IR for 5 games and likely returned in time to replace an injured daquan jones.

I had a friend who was like that with bananas. She'd just gag at the sight and smell though. -
Isaiah Hodgins Bills made big mistake

I know special teams gets brought up a lot, but he was behind crowder/Mckenzie/Shakir to start the year in the slot. So he played boundary since those 3 are all making the roster ahead of him. And I thought he had a nice pre-season, but to be the 6th WR on like ANY team, and to be active on a gameday... you must play special teams. He's a lot younger than Kumerow, but i don't think Kumerow is a bad player either... he was just hurt all year. Same with Crowder. So he went to the PS... and nobody took him. The only reason the giants did? They traded Toney, Robinson was hurt again, Shepard was hurt, Golladay was hurt and ineffective. So 4 guys they expected to contribute were out, and they had slayton and James starting so they needed... bodies at that point. He did well with the opportunity that he was given. -
Will Beane Franchise Tag anyone?

You have to trade him to a team who has already negotiated an extension. Until you do, his cap number sits on the books at the full amount. In a cap strapped year - we can create space if needed, but 21M would very much hinder the teams ability to make any moves in free agency. So you sit out free agency until you trade him, and get a 2023 pick or player instead of a possible 2024 comp pick. And sitting out free agency means bargain shopping after everyone else is signed. -
Year 2 in the system - they need a WR to probably open things up a bit. I don't think they'll make the playoffs this year though, their defense is just not very good and you got philly and dallas in the division. 8-4-1 in 1 score games (one of the losses was week 18 when Webb started) is really unsustainable. Jones had 6 fumbles in 16 starts, vs. 36 across the previous 37 - and his sack rate actually increased. So he fumbled less, threw fewer interceptions, and ran more. While staying healthy... This just needs a lot of stuff to go right for it to not be a disaster. 15 TD passes (another 7 on the ground) for 22 total in 16 games, and he got 40M AAV. Definitely not paying for what he's done so far, paying for what you think he's capable of.

Daniel Jones... Justin Fields... guys who probably will never be even at Carr's level, and will get paid. -

And burrow. And Hurts. He could always throw pretty well, and his best attribute is his ability to be very accurate on short passes. He needed to figure out how to play QB in the NFL. -
Shooting at Joe Mixon’s house(s)

They'll just release him - he's not that good anyway. -
They're kinda stuck with him for this year. Cap hit is actually higher to cut him because his 2023 salary is fully guaranteed. With the way he played a year ago, they should be expected to provide value to dump him. Like Robinson and a 3rd for a 4th or something like that. Doesn't even have 1000 yards across the last 2 seasons. I can get kenny golladay for less money and 0 draft picks - and they're basically the same player at this point.

Bills Rank 9th in NFLPA Team Report Card

Right? What is the grade for "no training room at all"? -
I think he's alright in press coverage, the challenge is his foot speed and acceleration out of breaks will be tested. Elam prefers press man, and probably will be the boundary corner to follow. Tre is an overall good corner with no real weakness in his game other than probably deep ball tracking. Teams tested him when we started playing more man, and he just wasn't up to the task. He also seemed to lack some confidence down the stretch. Dane is an OK zone corner, but he was just a touch late all year long. Its gotta be so frustrating to know that like... you're there. You read the route right, you know what you need to do, but you can't break it up. The goal originally was pressure - but teams are content to throw underneath against us. Good coaches then have plans for our defense on 3rd downs. Reid will isolate you with kelce, bunch, motion, and just find ways to kill you.

Bills Rank 9th in NFLPA Team Report Card

Insane that they are charging players for food. If you're pinching pennies there, you're pinching pennies everywhere. My company charges in the actual cooking cafeteria, but fruit, coffee, water, soft drinks, and some other light snacks like granola bars and chips are in all the break rooms for free. And its a tech company, NOT a football team that needs players to be at certain weights, etc.
