  1. haha They run on first probably 60% of the time. Depending on how that goes they might have to pass twice. Or pass then get stuffed on 3rd and 2. There's a lot of ways to be bad 🙂
  2. They're running that old marrone offense too much. Run-Run-Pass-Punt
  3. We're up almost a full yard per completion on YAC this season actually. One thing i notice about the good YAC teams is how much they design good YAC plays. We run a few here and there, mostly when we're seeing a blitz package. But they run weird rub routes and stuff to get Kelce open, and even position their guys to block after the catch.
  4. Play actions and boot action on early downs would go a LONG way. They seem to run it on 1st down too much. Adam Gase spun the Manning MVP into 2 HC jobs.
  5. Makes sense - they panic bought in on Wilson. I think the big issue i see there, aside from Wilsons contract and general performance, is: Jeudy is not good. Hamler is not good. Sutton is Davante parker and they just gave him a big extension. Patrick is hurt. They need a new coach but man, everyone expected them all to improve with Wilson and watching them they are just so bad.
  6. I always thought he was a good man corner. For whatever reason he couldn't hang with Diggs, few really can. Diggs struggled a ton with ward at KC (he's pretty grabby). Yeah, long road ahead, but he got a big guarantee so at least it didn't happen on his rookie deal or RFA tender last year.
  7. Comparing him to Levi Wallace is insane. Wallace was trash in man coverage and has 7 career INTs and 34 PDs in 55 starts. Jackson had 25 INTs and 55 PDs. Malcolm butler played 3 seasons in Tenn, and I wouldn't say he was inherently bad. His numbers were never really that impressive in NE either - he was made famous by a play he made in the super bowl. I'd say Logan Ryan but Tennessee changed his position when they brought him in so... there's somewhat of a tough learning curve there.
  8. Yeah, he was not having a good season. At the end of the day though, this team has missed Bosa. They don't get enough pressure, and even after spending a ton in FA (and draft picks) they still can't stop the run. Murray and Tillery were 1st rounders and neither has been very good. Tranquill was a later pick but he doesn't impress me. Van Noy isn't good anymore. Then you have the higher priced guys like Jackson, Joseph, Johnson added. And they literally aren't any better at stopping the run.
  9. I always thought Jackson was pretty good. He struggled a lot against Diggs, but to call the system in NE "CB Friendly" isn't really true. He also had 25 INTs in 4 seasons, as a UDFA. He started playing in the slot, moved outside, replaced Gilmore. To chase the money after a 3yr UDFA contract, and a 4th year as an RFA? Don't blame him in the slightest. Good for him.
  10. I'm not offering much. It's moss and a 5th for gibson and a 6th or something like that. We have the cardinals 5th as well. The fumbling issue is a big problem, and there sounds to be freelancing issues with regards to play execution. He aint CMC, and It's a buy low type of situation.
  11. He's been pretty terrible since his rookie year too.
  12. I wasn't impressed with the 2 games last year but i heard he had improved. Was looking forward to seeing what he could do against Buffalo. He was one of the pieces they got in the Adams trade.
  13. Yeah - i didn't see it with Wilson last year and I haven't yet this year. I hope they win enough games to give him the keys next year, because what I've seen is a lot of bad tendencies. Tua looked great on the first drive. Throws were in rhythm, on target - they shredded pittsburgh. Then after that i'm not sure what Pitt did differently, but if i had to guess they got into the windows to throw him off. They put hands in throwing lanes to force him to throw at different times etc. After that he was probably hitting less than 50 percent of the RPOs and there were at least 4 or 5 near catastrophe interceptions where he missed, and occaisionally missed high. I'm not sure how much is "he was off" or he was thrown off, but they got through it I guess.
  14. I don't see it. Bills play jets and fins at home - then chicago. Before that its detroit and NE on the road. They should be rolling in winning at least 4 of those 5. I'd be disappointed if its not 5.
  15. 105 yards passing and 99 yards passing in the last 2 wins. Thats barely game management. I'd have to look at splits for when Carters on the field, but just on base numbers he averages 3.5 YPC vs Halls 5.8. The big play potential is gone which means Wilson will need to be better. He has fewer yards passing in 4 starts than Flacco, and somehow has 50 less attempts. Their Defense has a takeaway in every game so far this season, and they did throttle the packers. I don't see them as a big problem, but they're young and that's very likely going to be the identity of this version of the Jets. But they also played QBs like Thompson, Brisset, Rypien, Trubisky, and PIckett.
  16. He has 7 runs in the red zone on the season. Moss has 0, Cook has 2. Inside 10 yards we have run the ball 4 times. Allen has 13 carries inside the 20, and 8 carries inside the 10. How is he supposed to get TDs when he has so few chances?
  17. None of these guys interest me tbh. Moss has run the ball 17 times in 6 games. I'm not sure we know what he is when he never plays.
  18. They've played as a pretty heavy rushing team for years now, with just... UDFAs at running back. Now they're adding one of the best in the league, and they have him under contract for years. It's interesting. They do have Deebo Samuel, Kittle, and Aiyuk seems to be coming along. The offensive line is solid. Their defense is a really good unit. This is to try to get a Jimmy G led team to the promised land. I think Lance is set up to have a good team built around him in 2023. I think teams are much quicker to move on from QBs now, and SF is a pretty good landing spot for a vet who wants to move like say Rodgers or something.
  19. Its not so expensive that it makes a big difference either way. I'm just not sure he's a huge upgrade so I'd offer very little in the way of compensation. Between singletary and cook i'm not even sure he's getting snaps. Is he a good pass protector?
  20. So pin and pull left and throw to say diggs on the right with like a slant? Suppose that makes sense, balls gotta be out quick on any RPO and the pulling action probably moves the will out of the window.
  21. I was at the game so i couldn't really tell - but watching that replay that pass was not where it needed to be. Maybe he should have sat down on his route there? Not sure.
  22. Yeah - hes on a walk year and has a 2.7 cap hit though. If the compensation is borderline nothing i'm good with it. The only concern is our run blocking is also terrible, and he's not going to get the volume he gets in chicago since we run so much less.
  23. Yep - can't run an RPO if linemen are pulling and others are getting out in front of the play. Either a penalty or they'll crush you at the mesh point.
