  1. Buffalo plays a lot of palms cover 2/4, so you do give up a lot of stuff underneath. It takes time to learn how to time disrupting the catch point, when to bail vs. press, all that kinds of stuff. They had like 150 yards passing so i can't really complain too much about him.
  2. I just don't know what we were trying to do in this game. Mckenzie short stuff starts working on a drive, then its hold the ball - sack, deep shot, deep shot, punt. 1st down on their side of the field was just screaming to run into that 2 high look and allen holds it and gets sacked again.
  3. yeah - the 34 for 175 was like 6 carries for 80 on that drive. That's both a good and bad thing i guess? like for the most part they weren't gashing us in the run game, but man those 2 johnson missed tackles were like 30 extra yards or more. We had almost the full 2 minutes though - thats enough time.
  4. It's a multi-year commitment at this point too. But him and Diggs flexing inside to the slot does sound appealing, and with other weapons on the offense in davis/shakir/mckenzie he can play on a bit of a pitch count this year.
  5. Yup. 1 turnover takes 3 off the board, another gave them field position for 7. The jets only scored 20. Even with getting gashed in the run game they still only scored 3 on that last drive.
  6. My thoughts were... I audibly said "what the hell was that" when allen threw several passes in this one. He wasn't good. That davis drop was way worse upon replay, i thought the throw was poor in real time - he needs to come down with that. Run defense in the 4th quarter - as bad as it was. And it was bad.... Buffalo stopped them and forced a FG. 2 minutes left, down 3, ball in allens hands? You gotta think OT right? And instead they came out and laid an egg. I was expecting quick hitters to knox/mckenzie/shakir right up the middle of the field - spike it on any first downs and get yourself into FG range. Instead we're holding the ball and trying to get the ball down the field - i just didn't get it. 2 minute offense needs work.
  7. He's not manipulating defenses with his eyes and he's holding onto the ball. 5 sacks is a lot for him, and he wasn't sharp when he was hitting receivers. Singletary rescued a terrible throw, mckenzie scooped one off the ground and managed to still get the first.
  8. I thought it was just a terrible throw but no... just eyes glued to diggs.
  9. I don't know if it matters who plays in the slot or at tight end when Allen stares down diggs and davis like he did in this one.
  10. You can't take the ball from a player on the ground. Once he's touched he's down. While we still stopped them on that drive, that would have given buffalo the ball around mid-field.
  11. He was open when i saw him - apparently allen did not see him.
  12. I've been whatever on mckenzie for a bit now, but he was just flat out invisible in this one. He didn't really do anything wrong, he may have even been open. Just felt like Allens been staring down receivers for the last 6 quarters, and the ball is not coming out quick to anyone. Even the passes to mckenzie weren't on target, and he spiked some others to kumerow, singletary, diggs etc.
  13. I'd feel a lot better about 1 if we had a 3rd linebacker who i thought was better at tackling than taron johnson. Davis could have come back a bit and high pointed it. I don't think he expected gardner to close as quickly.
  14. Lot of takeaways though - and buffalo is 28th in turnovers this year. 6-2 and we've turned it over in every game but 1. Allen has got to clean that up. 4 bad picks in the last 2 games. Allen fumble in miami probably the difference there as they got the ball at our 6 (missed protection but still). Turnovers put them in the hole in baltimore (say what you will about the tip and knox effort, but thats a pretty tight hole to be throwing a pass in your own territory on 3rd down). Weird pitch in KC took points off the board. Games 10-10 at half because of the pick in the rams game. He needs to be smarter, take better care of the football, and take what the defense gives him at times.
  15. On 2nd and 17 when you NEED to get like 8-10. Throw him towards the sideline and let him make a freakin play.
  16. 2nd pick shakir is wide tf open and allen never even looked to that side of the field. He had very poor eye discipline in this one and it showed. He didn't manipulate the jets at all when they played zone, it was actually quite the opposite.
  17. Everyone just assumes McKenzie and Shakir are invisible. On the int to Gardner Shakir is wide open. Someone was wide open crossing on the near int he threw to diggs. Ball out faster. Run by passing.
  18. I can't complain about players who don't get the ball thrown. Are they not open? I have no idea. But I saw Shakir wide open when he forced it to diggs for what would have been int number 3.
  19. Definitely getting home a little bit more effectively than he has. He's always had the pressure numbers though.
  20. Yeah but the new money starts in year 5, and they can keep the cap hit down for that year of the extension. So this version of miami has this year +2 more.
  21. Their defense is loaded with names and high picks, but they aren't good for whatever reason. They had a really good game against buffalo on 3rd/4th/red zone conversions. But outside of that game, they've been pretty mediocre at all three.
  22. I'm happy to let the dolphins run it down throats. They aren't good at running the ball.
  23. I think the message was "buffalo is interested in Kamara" and his thought was "Im not moving kamara" - so there's no need for a phone call. none of them most likely. Much like KC - outside of Mahomes Kelce and JuJu. Buffalo has Allen Diggs and to a lesser extent davis and singletary. Everyone else will have good games but its a game flow type of thing.
  24. Yep - If poyer misses some time he can contribute. Even if it's still Johnson as the backup, he has pressure knowing that there's a trusted player behind him. Beyond this - he can possibly get a look as a 3rd safety in some of those looks we tried against KC with Kelce.
