Snap Counts and Targets/Catches
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Scott7975's topic in The Stadium Wall
Diggs was getting mugged quite a bit in the game and there were some borderline ones that the refs let have the "let them play" treatment. Generally they were hitting him quite a bit when he did catch the ball. Not every team will follow - but i assume he's going to see a steady diet of gilmore this week if i had to guess. -
Week 14, Bills v. Chefs - GAME BALLS

How about a harty sighting?! Not a game ball but man what a huge catch. -
Would this be the week to give Elam a chance.

Without an injury? I don't see it. Benford didn't have his best game in coverage but he forced a fumble. -

Bills Hire DJ Mangas as Offensive Assistant

KC does have a solid defense - and they were doing a lot with simulated pressure to throw off our timing. -
The "McDermott Handicap" and hopefully a solution

Absolutely worked multiple times - Shakir and Sherfield both had first downs from that. We also had a fake drawn up perfectly if Allen can get that ball to davis over the top before pressure got there. It's also an RPO so... if terms dictated a run play we probably do run it there. After the incompletion i don't like running it into a heavy front knowing you probably wont gain yards to set yourself up for 3rd and 10. After the drop you have to pass since the first down there does a lot for your chances of winning. -

2-2 outdoors vs 8-1 indoors. Prescott stats Comp % goes down about 8%, and it was pretty similar in 2022 (1-3 record, same lower comp % and half of his INT's in 4 games). Their 4 outdoor games: 40-0 win @NYG - 143 yards passing - they had a pick 6 and a blocked FG TD. 33-10 win @Car - Rookie QB had 123 yards passing and was sacked 7 times 28-23 loss @Phi - Probably should have won tbh - eagles had 4 long drives and otherwise weren't doing much. The ferguson no TD was probably the big game shifter here, but they certainly didn't do enough to blow them out. Lamb had a big fumble at the end too. Prescott played excellent. 42-10 loss @SF - They played terrible all around and Dak was especially terrible netting 140 yards across 27 called passes with 3 interceptions. They also lost on the road against Arizona and won against LA, but both of those were in domes. He didn't play especially well in either game. -
From what i read online - RPO and the WLB crashes so its 2 blockers vs 2 DBs. Read is right and if he catches it he probably gains a few and the clock runs to the 2 minute warning. After that you can ideally run to get that first down and kill timeouts and potentially kick a game winner with no time. The other thought is - get 7 so they need 7.

Toney saved us from another Billsy moment…

He wasn't Offside. The ball was a good 1/2 to 3/4 of a yard behind the blue line. The blue line is where he could have snapped it from if he wanted to (line judge was straddling the blue line), but humphrey snapped from a decent amount behind the line and von timed it. -
Was a first down to shakir and sherfield when they ran it. Basically its the same RPO - if the OLB crashes you throw that every time. They know its coming but they have 2 blockers vs. 2 DBs and you can run to the sideline for an easy gain. If the OLB doesn't crash you can hand off and you have a better count. It was a rough drop at the end of the game, most people want to run there and see how KC plays with their timeouts. I kinda didn't hate passing there simply because playing for 3 only works if you can get the first down. Otherwise you may as well try and score 7 if you're giving mahomes the ball back with 2ish minutes.

I felt he was held and interfered with a number of times. They were also hitting him early and often.

I mean.. imagine the shock after losing that game though. Obviously he's deflecting blame and pissed off. In a loss like that, everyones pointing fingers - the seasons over and everyones unhappy. I like the idea of getting some understanding of the locker room and the long form story. But to just take like... quotes about something that happened years ago and not really contextualize it. Were people arguing? People say dumb stuff when they're arguing.

Not paying 8 dollars to read an article - you can buy books for that and it's a total hit piece. The top thing is the 9/11 one. There's a thing about him being pissed about the WRs buying the coach a car and not wanting him to be friends with players. When Brad pitt says in a movie you shouldn't be friends with the players because you need to be able to cut them - its a good point - but when mcdermott relays the same message, he's a tight ass. Something about him disliking cam newton and blaming him for ruining the panthers. Not wrong IMO - Cam's a selfish dude and made that team about him. Teams win, not players.
