  1. Post-june will usually be used for players that have guarantees on base salary. If you trade someone, they pay the salary 🙂 Comp picks only apply if a players contract ends. If you cut them, they don't factor into the formula.
  2. I'm open to it - they liked him enough to put a 2nd round tender on him in 2022. And the saints like, never have cap space. Unfortunately he missed the season with turf toe last year. Possibly fortunately as it massively lowers the price. He might be cheap too so you don't have to make the choice now, you make the choice in camp. He was an all-pro punt returner his rookie year, so another option there as well.
  3. It shouldn't be that hard to use gadget players. He's made tons of plays as a jet motion player. Him as a conventional weapon wasn't a particularly successful season, so don't use him that way. Hines should be a change of pace back - not a gadget player. Put him out there on specific drives (end of halves), specific situations (3rd downs and some red zone), and probably a 2 RB formation.
  4. His cap hit is 2.5M. He has a signing bonus hit of 300k, so 2.2M max IF you cut him today. He has a 250k roster bonus paid out on Friday. If you cut him after that you're looking at slightly less than 2M in savings. There's a workout bonus and a per-game active bonus as well. FWIW - Noah Brown just got 1yr 2.6M and he caught 4 passes last year. My issue with doing it now is there are always potential injuries. We only have 4 dudes under contract at the moment - and the FA WRs are trash who will get overpaid.
  5. The following people threw passes to Hopkins his first 5 years in the league Schaub Keenum Yates Fitz Hoyer Mallett Savage Weeden Osweiler And by the time he returned the cardinals were in full on meltdown mode.
  6. I got him in the last round of my fantasy draft in 2019, and kept him in 2020 for a 17th round pick. He had some substance abuse issues growing up and in his first couple of years in the league. Injury wise- he has a history of knee, ankle, and hamstring issues.
  7. Ekeler isn't a large cap hit issue - he just wants an extension. He has like nothing guaranteed and his total comp for the year is only 6M. I just cant imagine him playing under that number.
  8. Neal is also a primary depth piece at nickel corner (which is pretty important in our defense), so i think thats part of his pay. I'd say Matakevich and Jones are straight up teamers since they are last off of the bench. I saw matakevich resigned, i hope for less money.
  9. Not a great tackler, good in man coverage - and they blitz a lot so i think thats the goal.
  10. Yes - possibly a tackle in the first if the value is there. The mystery is - he isn't that good. Or he isn't a good fit in the payton offense. Or they want to allocate resources to better suit the team Payton wants to put together.
  11. Easier to use something when you actually have it to start the year. He's small but just.. use him like a running back. Do some Cook/Hines/Mckenzie type of formation for some gadgetry, but he is a running back and can play running back.
  12. One costs a 1st round pick - i'd assume jeudy is had for much less than a 1st.
  13. Hamlin got blocked by jefferson - and pushed back into Dodson (who i don't think catches him anyway). Benford flat out missed the tackle. Lewis took a bad angle. Epenesa is up field and the outer gap is completely taken - so i would say on this particular rep he did his job. Oliver had a bad rep and the guard smacked milano back too. On the plus side, that sounds a lot like a defense that the drought team would have put out on the field. This team won 13 games with these guys having to play at times.
  14. I think it was.. benford and jaquan johnson who whiffed on their gaps and gave up the 80 yard TD run? I'd have to watch it again, but that was the turning point. Cam lewis was also playing in that one.
  15. I think Chubbs overrated and they PAID him. Howard is overrated and overpaid. Phillips started to put it together a bit but he isn't anything to write home about. Wilkins is a good disrupter in the middle. Honestly their Safeties are really solid players too in Holland and Jones. It shores up a weak spot for them for sure, and between him and Chubb you've added some serious talent to the defense. But they're a team without depth, and they need to pay their QB next season so they're swinging for the fences.
  16. I agree on Mckenzie - if you need that money to sign another WR so be it. But you need extra guys in camp anyway.
  17. Player A (Hall): 80 for 463 (5.8 Y/A) and 4 TDs 19 catches / 31 targets for 218 and 1 TD (61.3% catch) Player B: 89 for 507 (5.7 Y/A) and 2 TDs 21 catches / 32 targets for 180 yards and 1 TD (65.6% catch)
  18. For the super bad fans... Funny thing about my back is its located on my...
  19. I honestly thought cook was really starting to look quite good. He doesn't have that violent speed to his game that some of the home run hitters have, but he has good vision, some shake - reminds me a bit of his brother tbh.
