  1. I'd like to see someone brought in as a 1T. Phillips and Oliver are both 3T's even if phillips is built like a 1. Settle is a nice rotational player, but legit none of our DTs are going to be here next season.
  2. He's better against zone... but you need to have a good plan to get to mahomes if you're gonna play man. He will scramble all day for free yards, will buy time all day which is a huge challenge in man, and is not afraid to send it down the field. He's sacked on about 4% of dropbacks, so ur lucky for about 2 in a game.
  3. Nordstrom has a notoriously loose return policy 🙂 Still insanely unprofessional - I'd say calling an audible at the LOS would be less unprofessional than calling your ex coaches.
  4. I love that he runs around for 20 seconds then immediately throws a near interception.
  5. They did only allow 286 points - which if you add in a 3rd game at average they were probably 2nd in the league in points allowed. Despite the team being 31st in giveaways on offense. Despite major injuries to Miller, White, Hyde. They were by no means perfect, but they were still a top 10 defense. Yards per play 5.1 - top 10. 27 takeaways - Top 5 Opposing NY/A 5.6 - which is tied for 4th Rush Y/A 4.3 - Tied for 11th Scoring % allowed 31% - 3rd in the league Turnover % 14.3% - Which is 5th 3rd down % 37.6% - 7th in the league Red zone 44.9$ - 2nd in the league Denver's defense was very good at a lot of things on defense and they still finished pretty poorly so i assume its possible, but that would say that without Allen we would have the worst offense in the league. Possible - but if we don't have Allen we i assume have... someone else whos relatively starting caliber.
  6. A right tackle who isn't a turnstile would help Knox usage. Teams starting blitzing more as the year went on too, they saw Allen's tendency to just let it fly and figured thats better than having him run around back there. Just be able to do both - thats what makes Mahomes so good. He can do all the things josh can, but hes also content to just carve you up with screens and short passes.
  7. Oh mine was just a joke from Eastbound and down 🙂. I have a few thoughts on QBs and lifting weights. Yes its important to exercise, however looking like a shredded bodybuilder does literally nothing to improve performance on the field. It won't generate more arm strength, won't make you much faster, and exposes you to a possible litany of injuries. Like how stupid would you feel if Allen tore his pec lifting or something dumb like that? I'd rather he just run to keep the cardio up, lift weights occasionally (and probably keep it to a couple times a week, with comparatively low weights to his teammates), and do things like yoga and pilates to avoid anything relating to soft tissue injuries like hamstrings and groin pulls.
  8. Allen plays real sports... not tryin to be the best at exercising.
  9. Other things to note statistically with regards to Gabe: Yards before catch per reception - 14.4. This lead the entire league by more than a yard. And the majority of the guys in the top 10 had lower catch rates. Average depth of target - 15.3. This was 5th in the NFL and the guys ahead of him all had fewer than 50 targets. Drops - 9. This is near the top of the league, but guys like Samuel and Ekeler both also had 9 drops with much shorter average target depths. My thoughts? The guy runs a lot of posts and vert routes, these are not... high probability plays in most cases. They're also the routes he is most effective on. Then there's Allen, who while he has vastly improved his underneath accuracy, still misses some dunkers and generally still makes some ball placement mistakes. I think he could stand to improve his footwork on shorter routes, and just generally come out of breaks quicker. He had some issues with concentration drops as well. I also think he played hurt for a good portion of the season.
  10. They won 13 games and the division last year. Allen is 19-9 career in the AFCE - 15-3 over the last 3 seasons (17-3 with 2 playoff wins). And they have won the division 3 years in a row. Uncommon opponents for Bills: Bengals, Jaguars, Bucs Uncommon opponents for Jets: Texans, Browns, Falcons Uncommon opponents for Miami: Titans, Panthers, Ravens
  11. Considering Milano has missed time almost every season - probably a good idea to get a cheap backup to groom. I look at that spot in the draft as where you can get quality draft with potential.
  12. I could see trading out of the first. They need a LB, a T, a WR, and a DT. 4 picks through round 3 would likely target those 4 positions, so if you could get 2 picks for the 1st that would be ideal. Nah - me neither. What good are future picks when you want to win a super bowl this year? If anything, trade future picks.
  13. They traded for Bates shortly beforehand, and signed several free agents prior to his 2nd season. I would assume he didn't win a starting guard spot from Buffalo. They were rolling Dawkins-Spain-Morse-Feliciano-Ford. The depth behind that was Bates, Boettger, Long, and Nsekhe. Ideally they keep him over Long, but Teller never played center. They used 1 of the picks in the Diggs trade, and the other was Tyler Bass.
  14. So low effort too - i have no idea so lets go with an undersized pass rusher.
  15. Garret wilson loses to Diggs Lazard and Davis are a wash Then you have Corey Davis, Mims, and Hardman vs. Harty, Sherfield, Shakir. Davis has had good seasons but is basically a 500 yard WR at this point, Mims is trash (sub 50% catch rate over 3 years and 30 games), and hardman. Harty has 1 year of production, sherfield is a fringe special teams guy, and shakir was a rookie. So we'll give the jets the depth edge. But i still don't see how you have them above Buffalo, let alone an entire point.
  16. Probably disagree on the WRs. Take the bills and broncos. Bills are 1.6 and broncos are 2.6. When does "where you were drafted" go out? Jeudy is a 1st rounder, but i don't put him much ahead of Davis at all. Diggs is head and shoulders above sutton. Patrick is coming off an ACL, and Hamler is going to miss camp. How are they better than sherfield, harty, and shakir? Bills and Browns 1.6 to 1.5. Diggs is better than cooper. Davis is better than peoples jones. They just added elijah moore i guess? I dunno, just feels like they don't weight diggs enough in these rankings.
  17. I'm not a big fan of an 1st round TE. They almost never produce much in year 1, and we have a big hole at LB, could use a WR, and just generally getting stouter on the offensive and defensive lines.
  18. Cook early on didn't seem ready for the offensive responsibilities. I know there was one either INT or near INT where he did an option route incorrectly (turned the wrong way, another time he ran into coverage instead of sitting), his blocking wasn't nearly as strong as DS (which is important since teams starting blitzing us more as the season wore on), and he didn't seem to have much in the way of confidence coming out last year for whatever reason. To me, he was an example of a player who needed more practice reps to get comfortable. Hines they tried to jam some specific plays and packages for, and i think that was limiting because it felt like if he was on the field the ball was going to him. To me, he isn't a gadget player - just use him like a 3rd down running back. He's fast as hell, and should be fine getting 80-100 carries, and 50-75 targets. Knox usage was puzzling, but seemed a bit matchup dependent. He also seemed to suffer from offensive line challenges and had to help a bit more often than Dorsey probably wanted. Having the right tackles struggle that much means knox is blocking on quite a few downs.
  19. Yep! Neither do players who were "released" out of an existing contract.
  20. Assuming they don't sign anyone they should be on track. Net loss Edmunds Keenum Singletary (johnson probably doesnt count) Net Gain Mcgovern Harty (Allen, and Sherfield probably don't count)
  21. Considering Miami had 231 yards of offense, 2 turnovers, and 4/16 on 3rd downs - i'd probably have put the loss solely at the feet of Allen. I don't think they were outcoached in Miami - Allen was a total mess. Dorsey didn't call a beautiful game but it was 17-0 after 4 possessions, and easily could have been more if Buffalo scored on the first drive.
  22. It's tough too because it feels like everyone was banged up by the end of the year. I feel like Oliver was a constant on injury reports most of the season.
  23. The way we struggled in that game was... a lot of Allen making mistakes. 2 picks set them up with great field position, a big return set them up again, then the coup de grace was the fumble TD return. He even fumbled again up 3 there at the end. Then we play cincy and it seems as if he doesn't want to mistakes and just seemed totally off. Dorsey's game call was off in Miami, and it was off again in cincy. Nobody seemed to know how to fix it either.
