Linebackers needed
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall
1T players usually don't go super high in the draft. There are notable exceptions (Poe, Vea, Ngata), but usually a 1T going in the first is because he's got some elite quickness, hands, or pass rushing ability. Looking at our team needs, depth etc. WR is up there, but doesn't necessarily require a 1st round pick. WR - Davis will get paid, and i don't see us being the payer RT - Room for improvement here and it has definitely been the weakest position on offense this season DT - No depth under contract behind oliver in our rotation NT - DQ is a free agent - love to bring him back. Need to get younger here DE - Will be down to Groot and Von. I think Von will be able to sway a free agent to sign here though S - Free agent Hyde, and Poyer is on an expiring deal. Poyer can free up cash if released, but my assumption is we guarantee the deal and push the hit so we have some level of continuity back there. Tre is back - as are all the other corners but Dane. With a surplus of picks (1,2,3,3,4,5,6,6,6,7) i expect we'll take at least 1 CB. -
Why do the Bills always defer when they win the coin toss?

Its worse when you 3 and out, they get good field position, and then execute the game script. -
Diggs interview eludes to issue...

Also doesn't leave time to set protections, motion players around, deal with crowd noise, etc. Also doesn't leave time to set protections, motion players around, deal with crowd noise, etc. -
I think its possible he's a great player... i think its also possible he's not playing that well at the moment. Doesn't mean he won't again, doesn't mean he has reached some level of cap or something. It's sort of the nature of sports... You can break everything down to stats, numbers, whatever you want... The patriots have the worst offense etc. Well on Sunday they played well. Players made tough catches, mac was more accurate, guys were breaking tackles, they seemed to actually believe. You can try and figure out why that was - but it could be simply a good week of practice, or just a good day at the office.

Underthrown sail route. He seems to be struggling with placement on down field throws at times. You want that ball almost out of bounds and his throw... was not almost out of bounds.

Trade deadline needs what are your priorities
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Xwnyer's topic in The Stadium Wall
So what if that exact same trade happens but its diggs for pick 21 to the eagles. Eagles get Diggs, Vikings get Jefferson @21 - buffalo gets... Reagor or Aiyuk. Oh but now we'll know we need to trade up! You don't get the benefit of hindsight without the rest of the league also getting it. -
Both NYG and patriots seemed to not commit to rushing their defensive line up field - and created havoc up the middle with stout DTs and blitzing. There wasn't space to step up towards the LOS in a pocket, or side-step into rushing lanes. They were content to give him the sideline, and most of his sideline running throws have been down field. He's been super late on check downs recently as well, meaning he's looking to make that big play and its costing us YAC.

A - Need to stop moving up, and need to start moving down. The teams only getting older moving forward, and you need more draft "lottery tickets". We have extra picks this year in 3 and 6. B - Lot of hindsight here. St. Brown ran a 4.6, which this board would have lost their minds on if we had drafted. Pickens had off-field issues. Diggs was essentially traded straight up for Jefferson - but hindsight is.. we didn't know he'd be on the board at the time we traded. C - Trading in season is always tough and i tend to veer towards a vet. But is that vet going to be better than Shakir/Sherfield/Harty? Are they even the issue or is it the plays, or allen holding the ball? -
Or we were 5-2 and had all this optimism and we lost 8 of 9. We're pessimistic and think the teams worthless and they're 4-3.

[Name Only Title] Tyler Bass
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
End of the day - these misses are starting to add up. Needs to get it together because in games you win or lose by +/- 6 points, those FGs can and are often the difference. Much like a poorly timed call or non-call can make a huge swing. -
The Bills are Going to Miss the Playoffs
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to DapperCam's topic in The Stadium Wall
Everyone does - we're just running into a bunch at once of the season ending variety again. They're 3-3 and won 3/4 but they currently have one of the worst offenses in football. -
The refs kinda returned the favor at the end of this one. There were calls that go both ways... but the last drive for NE was quite a bit ref aided.

Did Thursday's game vs Bucs influence our play vs. Pats?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to VW82's topic in The Stadium Wall
Defensively, I saw a team that couldn't get pressure from their front 4. They missed a lot of tackles on defense that lead to a lot of bigger plays. Touch late to the catch point on quite a few throws. I also felt they got hit with quite a few ticky tack calls - the illegal contact on a 3rd down stop (would've been 4th and 3 from the 33 - they got a TD on this drive), the PI on their catch at the 1 yard line being the big two (stop the clock with 20 seconds left. Offensively, negative plays putting them in some worse down's and distances. Diggs needs to be at or near sticks on that 3rd down so we can potentially sneak on 4th. Knox needs to catch that 4th down pass. First half that OPI was a killer, and they had a nice drive just get absolutely killed in the red zone. I think one thing we NEED to stress is improvement on how we approach teams that blitz. Our offense is designed around how to beat the soft zones we see so much, but we don't screen well into blitzes. Even when we call it at the right time it usually doesn't work. -
Mahomes scrambles - he doesn't have designed powers and sweeps. Seeing Anthony Richardson get 3 different injuries in like 6 weeks and have his season end makes me a bit apprehensive to add tons of QB runs to the playbook. He's getting shoulder surgery in his rookie season. New england is smart - they may not have a ton of pass rush talent, but they were pushing the middle and the outside contain players don't get caught up field. Without their best pass rusher they decided it was best to just get him 10-20 yards back from LOS and let him run around. Force allen to go backwards to get out of the pocket and then there isn't room to run, and there isn't space to step up.

It helps when the first throw of the game is to your own team not the opposing one.
