No hot water in showers after game NYG @ WAS…
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to LabattBlue's topic in The Stadium Wall
I take cold showers from time to time - usually after sports. But its tough when its like... 40 degrees outside to want to hop in there cold. -
I assume itll get pretty cheap pretty soon in there. People stomping on hands, twisting fingers and stuff at the bottom, eye pokes etc. Gonna likely take Hurts getting injured for them to stop doing it. They'll never get off the ball as fast as the eagles so it doesn't matter. It'll get banned next year and they'll say no more pushing the QB off the snap or something.

TNF: Bengals vs Ravens - Who are we rooting for?

Probably not gonna pay out much but i would say this is the likely story. -

They have a fair amount of cap space. Reader, Higgins, Awuzie, Williams, Boyd is the bulk of their UFA losses - chase cap hit stays the same in 2023 extension or not. They have space enough to bring them all back if they want - but i suspect they'll move on from higgins. Williams wants to play left tackle so he's probably out. Boyd's a 30 year old slot WR but i could see him returning. Reader will have suitors but i think they can persuade him to return. They're probably a year away from any cap issues, but do you pay higgins knowing you're going to have to pay chase? Higgins is only 24, and is going to want a pretty hefty payday, and chase is a top 5 WR who will want to reset the market. You have your QB, i don't know if it makes sense to have 2 highly paid WRs. The bengals defensive line is all approaching 30 and all play the majority of snaps (all their contracts come up very soon as well) - can't hurt to continue to add some talent to that room. -
Halls first 3 years in the league were 2010-2012 and Pederson was on the staff there under Reid. Could have been money too, or just a chance to move up to QB coach or O. coordinator at some point.

So, Diggs saw this coming, no?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to TheBrownBear's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still don't really know... why he'd supposedly demand a trade. He got paid here into his 30s as a WR, not usually a given. So money isn't a motivator - and this is the case in probably 99% of trade demands. He wanted out of Minnesota for usage concerns (they had the 3rd fewest pass attempts his last year there)... well he's among the most targeted players in football since going to buffalo. He's on a contender with a QB. Hopkins wanted a trade to a contender. It didn't work, and he was released - and ended up signing with a non-contender because of his monetary demands. Buffalo can't cut him - it would be a net negative to the cap. He's not rodgers... there isn't anything he can do to prevent getting sent to Green Bay, or Atlanta or something. -

Yup - I thought his presser was a good like... REMINDER: My brother is an adult who is free to do and say what he wants. I may talk to him about it, i may not, but its not any of your business. Nothing i have said or done this season has indicated that i don't want to be here now, or tomorrow, or ever. -
That's where the hole's are though. 1 DT, 2 DEs - and only one of those players is on a rookie contract. Safety too. FA will occur prior to the draft and get us a better understanding. I feel like younger WRs are making an impact more and more, so i'd like to see 2 in this draft. We have a lot of picks, just don't want to use a ton of capital to move up.

2 options: 1 - Talk to my brother... tell him to knock it off etc. 2 - Post something on social media and really give this non-story some legs... That was more about usage and money. He got paid here, and he gets the most targets in the league. So what does he want? I'll tell ya this - they aren't trading him to the cowboys, and they aren't cutting him. Is he going to be happy when all this gets him traded to the giants or packers? Doing nothing will also make this fizzle out. There's no football for 2 days, were the last team that played. There's a pretty big game tonight, so i think it'll die out naturally. Sometimes PR will dictate a response, other times you can just address it behind the scenes and let it go. -
DORSEY FIRED, Joe Brady Interim OC

I probably will? -
As someone in IT sales - its such a challenge. Need CIO and CTO approval for larger projects. IT teams meet with our engineers, scope everything out. The layer above them then balks at price and wants to rip out all the things they asked for, then it goes up to the CIO and they need to hit a different budget. So we spent all this time proving stuff out, and then the customer buys like 1/3 the solution and the CTO wonders why nothings automated and everything is delayed.

List of most outlandish losses
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Marlton Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
The referee changing the rules mid-game was the highlight for me. "his intention was to give himself up"... intention?! I didn't intend to throw that interception so i'd like the ball back. Idiotic. This is why i didn't care in the slightest how we beat the giants this year. Refs are terrible. -
Second blitz at end of game
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Snappysnackcakes's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't mind blitzing - but i don't like running the same 0 blitz back to back. Why not line up in coverage and blitz a corner or something? -

Trying to think of ones not mentioned - these aren't as outlandish, just billsy losses. Stevie johnson drop game vs. Pittsburgh Brady Bucs game Charles Clay Fins loss -
Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to The Helmet of's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't hate passing on 3rd and 1 if you plan to go for it on 4th and 1. I don't hate passing on 4th and 1. I do hate running a damn mesh play on 4th and 1, with no PA, and allen standing in the pocket. It doesn't suit our strengths, and its a yard. -
Josh's shoulder injury?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't play much QB, but i did play running back. Usually you are getting that slammed into your stomach. There's an area between fastball and moon shot though. His passing trajectories have been off for a bit now. -
Gabe Davis & Cook decline to interview after the game
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why i'd be relatively content for him to play here as long as he wants. He avoids big hits, has plus hands, and runs great routes. When he loses a bit of his speed he'll be a very good slot WR. -

Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why get a 5'6 WR... if you aren't going to ever use him in the capacity he was signed for. I'm not saying give him a starting job or something either. He's quick and shifty, and we send him deep iso on a 3x1. Better yet - Josh can lock onto him pre-snap and throw it anyway. He should be sprinting across the formation several times a game. Even if its just eye candy, eye candy can screw up run fits, create gaps in zones, etc. 3rd and mediums... gives you an outlet with a decent chance to break a tackle. Etc. Why sign this guy if you don't plan to use him in the slightest? If you wanted to throw corner fades why sign him? Sign Chark or pay D-hop? If you wanted a conventional slot player, why not Thielen or meyers? Flat out speed? Campbell hardman, or berrios. All these dudes are available and we get a guy with no plans to use him. Just going to pay this guy way more than mckenzie to do even less somehow. -
Daboll was terrible everywhere he went before here. QB play is usually the big factor. Brady i felt was originally brought in as the potential dorsey replacement if things went well enough that he got head coaching interviews. He now gets a trial run as the season has shifted into preservation mode. I think his role is helping design plays and the playbook, implementing plays within the walkthrough that you want to use, etc. So i don't think he's doing a very good job at the moment, but we don't really know whats going on there so its all speculative.

Can throw a few wrinkles here and there, but bye week would be where they might be able to make some more significant adjustments.

I would assume for that to happen he helped right the ship. -

I think the thought process is that he's thinking too much pre and post snap, and overcomplicating things so his fundamentals suffer? Either way - whatevers going on with him is definitely mental. There may be some physical limitations with the injured arm, but thats not causing him to make the majority of his mistakes.
