  1. There are concussions - and like... chronic concussion issues. He doesn't from what i know, have the 2nd issue - so i think that the 2 injuries are independent of one another. Once he's through concussion protocol, I imagine he'll want to get back out there.
  2. McCoy doesn't need to play in a preseason game. Watkins maybe the 3rd just to make sure he's game ready. Other than that its fair game. Honestly our oline/dline guys need the reps. There are like 5 practices per camp with full contact and pads, and 90% of their job is done with full contact and pads.
  3. To be fair... hes our starter - because Shaq and Manny are both out. That doesn't really make him a starter.
  4. Similar situations have happened to other teams around the league - Josh Freeman game in Minnesota. Matt Cassels run in Dallas. Schaub/Mallet in baltimore.
  5. Sounded like he wasn't at his best last week. Today he was feelin it, and wanted it. Save it for the real games!
  6. My thought with the Jets was that they had the easiest schedule in the league last year (yes - even easier than ours). And they had very few injuries to key contributors. We were missing Watkins for multiple games, Mccoy for multiple games, and TT for 2. As well as several defensive leaders. They on the other hand were really healthy all year long. That's more luck than anything else (possibly our playing surface? would like to see home/away splits for our injuries). Not to mention - they lost to us when it mattered most. And that was a game where Buffalo was minus the following players: Kyle Williams Aaron Williams Stephon Gilmore Karlos Williams Lesean Mccoy Robert Woods Nigel Bradham Charles Clay Percy Harvin Seantrel Henderson They are borderline just like us.
  7. And in 2014 the jets secondary (6 total INTs in 2014), and just general offense were awful. They basically ate a ton in dead money for that year to set up for a 2015 run with a better QB, some high $$$ free agents (revis, gilchrist, skrine, carpenter, Cromartie), and the lightest schedule in the league. Also gave Rex a lame duck year to play out with a bottom 5 roster in the league. Could be worse... if they had fired him mid year there's a decent chance they get Winston or Mariota (who both look pretty legit). Say what you will about Rex, but he at least had the guys playing for him. Well projected success over the course of a year would probably be better suited to DVOA vs. the Points allowed number that doesn't take into account for field position, turnovers, etc.
  8. From what I recall about all the rule changes - you get so little practice time in pads that you really have to spend as much as possible working on practice reps.
  9. He may not be interested in buffalo... He knew he'd get interest as camp approached, why not just wait? Also he joins a defense with some Solid coaches, and a solid o. He wants a championship - and this was probably the closest he thought he could get.
  10. No - His numbers are more reflective of the league now and the tendency to pass, than how he compares to Andre Reed.
  11. Yeesh - thats what qualifies for a buffalo news article? What was that like 75 words?
  12. I didn't like the pick before he even played, or got suspended. Those tweener's are tough to project. For every Von Miller - theres tons of mingos, maybins, and jordans.
  13. His knee could explode, derailing his career like rg3. He'd be leaving money on the table, but guaranteeing a rather large pay day for himself. He's never had the big check.
  14. Cinci - They have a good to great defense. 2 solid RBs, AJ Green, and Eifert all make for a solid O. Not to mention AJ McCarron did alright last year in a similar spot.
  15. Before last season, I was flying back from Mexico and Matt Cassel was on the same flight. He avoided the gate and when they did priority boarding, he had his hat low and sunglasses on. He was in a first class window seat basically hiding when I got on the plane. Does this sound like a starting QB? I got the vibe that he didn't even want to play in Buffalo. I was against him from that moment on. Jerry Hughes on the other hand ate fried chicken at the gate, and shook anyone's hand who approached. He acted like what you would expect from an NFL player, let alone a starting QB.
  16. Or hopefully TT can recognize this early on - and stop sending Sammy Deep. Easiest way to beat those double teams is to not decoy/send him deep. Get him the ball before help can get there.
  17. Ugh - i remember this game as the game where rex went full on coverages/contain. Alex smith had eons to throw and we couldn't stop their 3rd string running back. That'd probably be why we lost. TT had a good half - then we went full madden (the game not the coach) and stopped running in the 2nd half. Did we have a goalline fumble or something in there? I get my terrible chiefs losses mixed up sometimes.
  18. Don't particularly care - let them be gone forever. Whoever handled their jobs and pay bungled it up, and at this point its bad press to even bring them up.
  19. Always a productive back when on the field, and always a good fantasy back. But I never watched a game and thought "Foster is going to kill us". It was this attrition thing, and you always thought anybody could be doing what he was doing. Curtis Martin was kind of like that for me during his career (without the injuries obviously). Never watched him do anything that special, but he was just - good. For a really long time.
  20. I don't think we can keep gilmore without a tag. We'll need TT under contract to do that, and for that deal to be cap friendly (which it probably won't be). As much as i like gilmore - I would draft another corner and move on. QB is the priority 100%.
  21. I was thinking the same thing. Then you don't have to have that massive net behind the thing either, you'd just have a net that the ball get's caught in. Oh, and then you don't have to decide if its good or not. If it's good, its in the net. It'd also encourage lower trajectory kicks - which means more blocks.
  22. Can't imagine it's a good offer. We already get crap for having the highest paid RB in the league. Honestly though - i like it if we bring him in. Change of pace back who can catch. Karlos is the bruiser, McCoy the feature guy.
  23. Gotta think that would make scheduling a little bit more difficult. Typically they keep same stadium teams in separate conferences to avoid conflicts. Not to mention it'd make for 2 strange home games for each one annually. Once every 4 years to play a half-away game in your stadium isn't a big deal, but every year?
  24. Probably Brady. Guy wins more than anybody else, and excels under pressure
  25. Russell Wilson. Kid has "it"
