Tank 2016 for Greg Roman - HC
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tank? We bring back pretty much a healthier version of the 13th ranked offense in the league. The NUMBER 1 rushing attack in the NFL. And as bad as things are on defense with injuries and stupidity, they were already really bad. They will not be historically bad, we still have 2 GOOD corners, decent safeties, and respected vet/leader Kyle Williams. Get out of here with that tank rhetoric. We're as good as we were last year... and we DO get Lawson back at some point. We get Dareus/karlos back after 4 games. The season is not lost. -
Tyrod Taylor babyyyyyy
-
The dead money prohibits us from doing this... for the forseeable future. But if he gets suspended we get the money back... So if we think its going to happen... we just let it happen.

GUILTY GUILTY GUILTY!!
-
While were blaming everyone - he's a players coach. Therefore he expects this kind of thing to be vetted through KW. Therefore it's KW's fault. Lets throw TT in there. He's the QB. His team.

I don't think thats what an NFL coaches job is. At all. 0%
-
Now i know this isn't a good comparison. but Von Miller was suspended 6 games and denver won all 6... yea yea peyton manning. but we have TYROD TAYLOR #5
-
I'm not sure it works this way with regards to drugs. I think HR is involved and typically an at will employee is terminated. I doubt they even consult your boss beyond telling him that they have to get rid of you.
-
His % of the blame is very low. He's a coach. He's responsible for building the play book, game planning for specific opponents, and instilling this knowledge in his players so they are prepared to win football games. He's not a high school football coach. His job is not to help people grow as individuals, or learn from their mistakes. These are professionals, and should grow up and act like it. He doesn't even have to like you to do his job. Why is it his fault when you get caught in the preseason being an idiot?

You of little faith! We still have Hot Rod Taylor bruh!! No game is lost!! -
Yeah - because he has anything to do with guys passing their piss tests. Its called accountability - and many of these guys apparently have none. If Rex is fired at the end of the year, he will be accountable for it and take it as his mess. Even though his guys let him down across the board.
-
i wonder if the moves we just made had something to do with this...? I imagine we have what washington, bryant, kw, worthy, and douzable? Not terrible... maybe Ta’Amu gets some snaps while he's suspended?
-
no words....

All 3 seasons with the Jets though. So the HC actually would have him as more of a known commodity than Goodwin. Using this logic doesn't seem to make sense. I don't care either way... There's plenty of reasons to hate all of these guys. Mostly that none of them are good. Just put the guys out there that TT likes.

I have not attended a minute of camp but - From what i can tell - salas and little are very similar. Big dudes but they don't offer a ton. They're available for a reason. But reliability is pretty good - I'd rather have guys out there who can catch vs. otherwise. But do you need 2 more of them? People already complain that Woods is just a guy. Now we'd go 3 deep with receivers who are just guys. Powell seems to offer some teams ability - at least returning. Had a good preseason game too - i know Rex appreciates guys who show up for games. I know nothing about dez lewis, but i can't imagine we're keeping him and listenbee. Easley isn't healthy - and is primarily teams. We added anderson/blanton for that. So i don't see him making it. But maybe he'll start the year on PUP, with possibly listenbee. My only thing is: I haven't been at camp. I can't make a knowledgeable decision based on 10 snaps in a preseason game. He's 3rd on the depth chart right now, so i imagine he's having a good camp. But his injury history is something that makes you think twice about relying on him for a full season. Nobody else on that list besides the top 2 has earned a thing - so they need to beat him out for the job. Apparently they are failing.
-
To be fair to 2014 - he had several injuries and i believe missed time in camp. He was on the injury report for probably like half the year, and by the time he was healthy he was passed by Hogan in their eyes. Hogan is no longer here - therefore Goodwin has just as much a right to the 3rd receiver spot as any of the other guys on the team. Also - that offense clearly didn't stress using more than 3 receivers. Mike williams was the 4th highest receiver with 8 catches. I'm not sure our current one really does either. We shouldn't put someone else ahead of goodwin just because goodwin hasn't done much. None of the guys vying for this spot have done much. The best guys in this camp and this preseason should get the job.

Thought the same thing honestly. But when ur missing your top 3 at a position, its a next man up scenario. -
