The good part may be that you can negotiate a trade around this too, so that team can avoid the bad contract and you still get something in return.

He's on a 1 year deal basically - and a 12 game contract at that. If he's good he walks, if he's not you wasted whatever you used to acquire him.

Bosa should sign the max offer they give him - with deferred payments/off-set language. He has 0 leverage, and only stands to lose money if he waits this out. If he re-enters the draft he's damaged goods, not to mention he'll have made 0 dollars in the meantime.

As far as i know - those type of guys aren't available. 40 speed or not - he has looked to be among the best in our group of receivers. That makes him deserving of a roster spot...

I always liked corbin bryant. Guys got a good head on his shoulders and has worked hard to get where he is. A good guy to have in a 3-4 rotation. He played a ton of snaps with KW out last year, and was fine.

It's a combination. Not having Gilmore and Awilliams (or even a competent replacement) for that skins game hurt a lot. We had no one to cover Reed at all - Rambo was too small and lawson/tarpley were too slow/bad. Missing KW all year definitely hurts. Mario williams had a single tackle in that game so... his production shouldn't be hard to fill. We did have 240 yards rushing in that game, but i remember the ball being moved at will against our D. Penalties killed us in a few games last year, that one included.

For the ones that are either on their 2nd contract, or 1st round pick rookie deals. This shouldn't be hard. You SHOULD be set for life, let alone a single year. There won't be a full non-season - the owners stand to lose far too much. So look at it like a late start to the year.

Hogan in theory is better than Hogan on the field. He's a big tall fast guy - HOWEVER... he plays smaller than he is, he doesn't get the ball at it's highest point, doesn't break tackles, seems to get the drops at inopportune times, seems to miss the sticks at important times. All coach-able - but NE signed him for like 12 million and not only could we not even match that offer at the time. We shouldn't have matched that offer as we were trying to sign Glenn and TT.

And as bad as things are on defense with injuries and stupidity, they were already really bad. They will not be historically bad, we still have 2 GOOD corners, decent safeties, and respected vet/leader Kyle Williams. Get out of here with that tank rhetoric. We're as good as we were last year... and we DO get Lawson back at some point. We get Dareus/karlos back after 4 games. The season is not lost.
