  1. The GM and HC are both terrible there. They let Arians walk and have just been patching holes for years, not really building anything. The Saints GM is another guy who I can't believe is still employed. They fired him last year. This guy is the replacement.
  2. Exactly - just get a better everything and he'll be amazing.
  3. Are the plays just lousy? Are we putting ourselves in bad situations? We never play under center, we never run real play action... We flood one side of the field and have Tyrod whip it to the sidelines. I'm not sure it's a great offense.
  4. I know that salas and Powell aren't our best players, but little drags and crosses can create space for other players. And add rhythm to an offense on 1st and 2nd downs. U don't need to be Edelman, or welker. Everyone has guys like this- riddick, woodhead, sproles. Why not try bush in this role? He's clearly not working in the regular offense
  5. Disagree... Firing the whole coaching staff after 2 games, 18 games total... There's no coach in football who would fall on that sword
  6. It worked well for Jim bob in Detroit... unlikely.. but it can happen.
  7. 84 yard passes are not drawn up by the coordinator. They're mistakes by the defense. So outside of those 2 mistakes. What did we do? I know we took a 4 point lead. Stopped them and got the ball back. We then went 3 and out (bad running play, chucked one deep, and then clay ran out of bounds).
  8. Do we design any plays to get the ball out quick? I see cole beasley catch 8 for 65, and witten catch another 8 for like 70 from their rookie QB. Do we have any rub routes? Do we ever run little drags through traffic? No - we cram everyone together near the line and run deep routes and out routes. It's craziness.
  9. They run from under center a lot. We run zone reads from the shotgun and run our plays out of bounds basically.
  10. Whatever.. It's keeping me interested. Can i ask for much more?
  11. So is Dak prescott. There were plenty of quick crossing routes to beasley, and quick outs/ins to witten. If anything you'd think it would help a young QB to have outlet passes to get rhythm.
  12. First random article i clicked on regarding Roman and the 49ers... Does this not sound familiar at all? Is it CK and TT, or is it Roman??? Quarterback Colin Kaepernick has drawn plenty of criticism, but CBS Sports Network analyst Chris Simms believes he’s been hurt by what he terms unimaginative passing schemes. Simms, 34, is a former quarterback who played parts of five seasons in the NFL. “I would say (the 49ers have) one of the least creative passing schemes that I watch on film in a week-in, week-out basis,” Simms said. “The concepts are very simple. I don’t see a lot of new stuff from week to week.” That said, Simms is also baffled by the fact that the 49ers’ passing attack doesn’t include some old staples, most notably short passes he thinks would help Kaepernick establish a rhythm. “I don’t see wide receiver screens,” Simms said. “I don’t see running back screens. Very rarely are there easy slam-dunk completions, which are a part of any really good offense. It’s always 'Hey, it’s 3rd-and-9, Colin, can you throw a 100 mph strike for us 30 yards downfield?’ That’s what I feel they often ask of him.”
  13. They had safety help a bunch... but theyd find the other receivers. We weren't able to stop their offense when spread wide with 4 receivers. People were open all night.
  14. When you can't cover their receivers, blitzing and safety help don't really mean much. We couldn't get a pass rush with just 4, and we couldn't cover if we blitzed. I don't know what kind of scheme you can come up with to stop inability to cover the opposing teams receivers.
  15. Running the ball... forward... at all. Would be a nice change of pace. Run from under center. pass from under center. We have a fullback - try using him from time to time. Use McCoy as a receiver a bit more.
  16. If you're running into that line - you do it on 3rd. You may get just enough. If you want to sneak on 4th, it needs to be really close, and you need to quick count it. They were a full yard back. Lost yards on a stupid EJ sneak. Wasted a timeout. and then ran a hb dive into an 11 man front. What are you DOING?!!!?!
  17. Yet it was predictable.. and generally bad. This season.
  18. At least he played aggressively. Our corner's gave cushion all day - and got turned around on underneath stuff. And got beat deep. Gilmore and darby were in position on those deep balls, they just didnt stop the guys from catching the ball.
  19. It just doesn't work that way in football... You're behind the 8-ball with regards to playbook and training camp. It works in baseball because right field is right field for every team. It works in hockey (to an extent) because so many teams make the playoffs, and theyre all 7 game series. A lot of time to gel. We'd get pennies for all of that. Tyrod is a young QB - i wouldn't say lock him in as the franchise guy... but we don't really have any other options. If your goal is to be bad, just be bad with him. Shady has 1 more year here then we cut him. Watkins needs a friend or two. I'd franchise gilmore- see if we could find takers for a trade. If not, rescind it like the panthers did.
  20. Exactly - we should have blitzed... a lot more. probably every play.
  21. We had no pressure... At all. That didn't help. But a lot of the game was little 10 yard hitches and he was getting turned around. If the secondary needs safety help all game. They're going to run it down out throats
  22. We're 2 games into the season with our young qb. He's struggling sure, but it's 2 games. He has legit started 16 games. He may have a long career he may not, but Jeeze... Hasn't he earned at least 2 years?? Most qbs are pretty terrible when they first start playing. No misdirection, no reverses, a wounded receiver who can't run, a te running out of bounds. A defense who legit had 1 real stop, and couldn't get off the field. Plenty of blame to go around... Give the guy this year, we don't really have other options.
  23. Why are we talking about Tyrod? Outside of the bad pick, he played fine. The calls on 3/4 took him out of the game. Just awful.
  24. Pick and stupid third/fourth offense cost us this game... Our d just got whooped.
