  1. I think he's just coaching better on both sides of the ball. Calling the plays isn't what makes a team. Need to have a pulse of everything going on
  2. I like how she threatened to kick his ass if he comes to buffalo... yeah buffalo!!
  3. I'm surprised it took us this long to try and establish this identity. The "its a passing league" opinion ignores the fact that there are about 10 players who have excellent QBs. We are trying to buck that trend and run a ground/pound offense, which makes sense when you look at our QB situation. But that isn't without looking at modern college offenses, and taking some cues from what they do. Triple option and zone read are fantastic because they make players choose. A LBer who chooses to contain TT is basically blocked by him since he's out of the play. A backer who cheats to get Tate on the pitch, misses TT because he made the wrong choice. Obviously this can backfire if we choose wrong as well, but we practice these exchanges every day, they just gameplan for buffalo. Who's more likely to mess up?
  4. I still think they are doing combo coverages in the secondary, and throwing a weird look at a QB once in a while is a nice way to mess with their rhythm.
  5. It's not the smartest argument. But if we go 4-0 in the NFC, and 9-7 overall. We will likely lose a tiebreaker to another 9-7 team. Obviously win's are better than losses - and winning these games is the only way we get to that scenario.
  6. I think Lynn is going to get him the ball. That seems to be his MO. Get the best players the ball. If he's our best weapon, get him the ball. If it's screens, bombs, or slants and posts, we're going to look his way. He played more snaps than that i think. I was at the game so it was hard to differentiate him and powell (19 vs 17), but they both seemed to struggle with whoever was the corner on tyrods left.
  7. Watching the game - Powell wasn't open very much.
  8. He doesn't have the thump that karlos had, but that was also what largely got karlos hurt. He has a really nice second gear that seems to catch people off guard as he runs right by them.
  9. I think they're adjusting a bit more to the current NFL. We like to come out in 46 - but we play a majority of the game in a nickel. We rotate different linemen in, put lorax in on passing downs. Occasionally go heavy with 4 big boys. And we're blitzing a lot less and creating coverage sacks.
  10. People do stupid stuff, myself included. Why you would tape it and put it on the internet...? That i can't explain.
  11. That first drive in the 3rd was a penalty mess. But the 2nd I'll agree he wasn't very good. Can't blame him on the fumble too. He didn't even turn around The O'Leary one was great. Waited for the read and found his guy. Good stuff
  12. Can't trade dareus. I wouldn't cut tyrod because it doesn't really hamstring us to keep him. His cap hit isn't too bad and we can affordably cut him in 2018 if he sucks next year, and we have a plan of some kind.
  13. For the most part this week he's saying the right things. We're focused on this week - Mobile QBs present a unique challenge - etc.
  14. The NFLs description for a "drop" means you cant be touched basically. He's a professional wide receiver, he should be able to bring a ball in while in traffic. It's his job.
  15. I don't understand how they grade O-linemen. The giants legit have pressure on every single pass play, and average about 50 yards rushing per game. But their Line is top 5? Whaaaat?
  16. Watched a few Giants games this year. Eli is missing down field just as often. Oh and he's slow and they have no run game. They look terrible.
  17. Thats the other thing about NFL and trades. It's every week with guys going down on IR. Nobody wants to trade for a rental who could go on IR just because he fell wrong on the field.
  18. Yeah - i tend to agree. Except that Miami plays a Wide 9. He's just not doing anything.
  19. Isn't he on IR? Agreed. Him and bush maybe out of the slot or something.
  20. Football to me functions a lot differently because of the franchise tag, and the fact that there is no minor league. There isn't as many players in walk years to trade for - solid people get dropped in camp and at final cut downs. The development of players in the NFL seems to happen much quicker, so there is less of a trial period, and more of a trial by fire. Jeffrey is a franchise tag candidate - so they probably wouldn't trade him. Marshall is an affordable cap hit for 1 more year, with the injury to decker they're already thin at the position. Landry has a 1.1 mil cap hit for 1 more year. Considering they will be after a QB they'll probably keep the weapon. And the price would be absurd. Tate is tough because his cap hit for the next 2 years is actually kind of high. There aren't a lot of upgrades out there. Rebuilds happen so fast that good cheap players don't get traded, and overpaid guys only get traded under new regimes.
  21. Disagree. NRC had 2 ints - 1 for a TD that changed the game. And a couple pass breakups. He had a fantastic game.
  22. What about Cardale? He might look like a QB.
  23. They key to not getting trapped... Preparing every week like it's a big game. Because it is. No let downs, no stupid penalties, no mental mistakes. The 49ers won't beat us unless we put the ball on the turf, or throw picks. Keep taking care of the ball, and make them earn every yard and we should be fine.
  24. 6 catches in 21 targets. Goodwin is VERY replaceable. He just doesn't get open it seems. And he can't catch. As for Sammy in a Wheelchair... Airports are big places. If i were on crutches or in a walking boot - and my income was tied to getting that foot in good shape. I'd tell the airport people to cart me around, or get me a wheelchair.
