  1. The goodwin one looked vastly different from this angle - i thought it was high when i watched it live, but the gif looks like its a bit more behind than high. And CBS so... no replays.
  2. I agree. I like Wright and think he'd be good here, but I don't like making a trade at this point. If the chemistry isn't there it just doesn't work. You don't see a ton of NFL trades mid-season because of playbooks. It takes a few games to get a feel for your teammates in Hockey/Basketball. Baseball is the same no matter what team you're on. Footballs a whole different game. Part of why edelman is so good is that he and brady think the same. He knows where he's going on the option route every single time.
  3. Rhythm passer, disrupt routes at the LOS to mess with his timing. Force him to go deep which is low percentage. Stack 8 and shade the safety to the deep side, use stunts to generate pressure and use the ends to maintain contain on the outside. Throws to the sideline a lot because timing/chemistry isn't as important. Doesn't trust his eyes. Doesn't trust his receivers. Solid arm strength, very dangerous on the run. Oh and he's short with a relatively low release point - get hands in his face.
  4. This is most likely why Salas won the job. QBs like a guy who gets open, and is where you want him to be when you want to throw the ball. Precision in routes is important because the throw is the same every time.
  5. Can you verify that receivers are running the right routes? Breaking at the correct depth and time? Lining up on the right side of the field? Who was the primary read? Was the primary changed at the line? Not trying to get into a big argument here, but film's only as good as knowing what we called and what may have been adjusted before the snap.
  6. We do have 2 5th's though. And we'll likely get a comp pick for bradham.
  7. Dropped a slant on 3rd down in Miami territory before halftime (I don't care where the throw was, it hit both his hands).... But who's counting?
  8. People act like he got laid out or something... he fell awkwardly and hit his head. Yeah - unless you're wrong and he's not stafford. And he's tannehill, locker, gabbert, ponder, sanchez, freeman, or god forbid Jamarcus. Every armchair GM solution - throw picks at it until it works. That's a great solution as a fan, but when you're an actual GM - you can't do that. You will get fired.
  9. he's essentially a slot receiver at this point. He made a nice play on a slant route early in the game, but we got away from that for whatever reason. Also - thats an incredibly small sample size to gauge anything. They came to play the last 2 weeks, and sleep walked through their first 5 games. When you have a motivated Suh and Mario, they are good players.
  10. He was the first overall pick.... Soooo Are you suggesting we trade 3 firsts for the 1st overall pick? We had 29 first downs a week ago with Shady and Woods. They gameplanned to stop him. We need to gameplan to unleash TT in situations where he is legit our best offensive weapon, instead of playing into what they're doing.
  11. They also spent a 1st rounder on another QB project. TOTALLY didn't panic. This is what i see happening. We won't bottom out to the point where we can add a top dog. I'd like to see us bring someone else in, but who knows? Cardale might be good, I don't watch bills practices so I can't really say.
  12. We'd have to send some salary for next year back in the trade though
  13. He's always had the numbers and the arm, but was like a better version of cutler. Backbreaking picks and throwing for 400 yards to try and make up for mistakes and mediocre defense. That and 0 clutch ability. Now he's taking what defenses give him, including on 2 minute drills. Waiting to take his shots and trusting his eyes.
  14. I don't think we have the cap room to make this work....
  15. Division record would mean a lot in a multi team tie. But if its say just us and Balt. They get in on H2H. Beating Pitt/Oak/Cin are huge for this. So we need to win 10 and hope only 1 or 2 teams can get to that point because we basically lose a ton of tiebreakers
  16. But you aren't the GM, and you don't have absolute job security. The issue you are going to run into is that you will be fired when/if the team bottoms out.
  17. I just don't get it... you can easily NOT do this and still take him out of the play. That to me makes me think it was intentional. It's simple - if you don't eject people they will keep doing it. Eject them from the game, and take the game check. He would more than likely think twice about taking someones head off if its going to affect his pay.
  18. I'm just using the example as he's the flavor of the week this week. He's always been one of those in the conversation guys, but never took the next step to being great or a winner. Players can change and evolve - Russell wilson was downright dominant at the end of last season. This year he sucks. It's a team game and because of that you can only put so much on a single player. If a WR runs the wrong route, he may look open, but he's not where he is supposed to be. If a lineman blows his assignment, a play is blown up before it gets started. If a receiver doesn't line up correctly, you can correclty assume he doesn't know what he's doing. This costs timeouts, as well as time to get a pre-snap read. And if a QB misses a throw, that's on him. I've played enough football to know that blame goes all around.
  19. Meh - any given sunday i suppose. I don't see it, but even with my homer blinders on I thought we'd beat Miami.
  20. Same could be said of Matt Stafford not too long ago. Gaudy numbers, but wilts under pressure. Now he's a comeback kid. Players can change and evolve. But i really don't feel like arguing about it.
  21. We needed to do more to neutralize their pass rush. I'd like to see more screens and swings. We just don't have dynamic playmakers right now to capitalize on those types of plays. Edelman makes it look so easy, but you have to be a certain type of guy to have that offense run through you. Too many penalties, games are called inconsistently. Excessive celebration penalties and uniform violations. It's just... ugh.
  22. This looks like a season where NE will walk to the super bowl, and probably lose somehow to someone random. Maybe Seattle gets it together for 60 minutes and plays well or Atlanta's offense overwhelms them, I just think this is the year they dominate but don't win it.
  23. I doubt it had anything to do with rex. TT was running out of bounds on a meaningless drive to end the game and the LB pushed him out. He took offense, even though it was legal, since the only result you're going to get is an injured Tyrod. When he started shouting, Reshad Jones got in his face to kind of... rub it in I guess? They then did the same thing, actually late the 2nd time, and got flagged for it. I get wanting to hit people, but when he's a step from out of bounds and you're up 11 with 1 minute left, what's the point other than intent to injure?
  24. Blanton had a really good chance to blow him up and went low. Others in the same situation wouldn't have been so kind.
  25. Our D had played 6 plays in the half to that point...
