  1. Brady is a tough matchup for really anybody. You need a solid front 4 pass rush. Someone to cover Gronk/Bennett. AND corners who can play tight man to man, and recognize their pick plays. And even after all that ... he still probably burns you for 20 plus. And then you have their defense, which is largely healthy and pretty good.
  2. Blitz more - leave Gilmore in more single coverage by design. Now he'll blame the pass rush for not sacking the QB. Give him safety help, he gets beat underneath. Truly great corner's don't get beat. They just don't. He's mediocre.
  3. Meeks shaded to the middle - which is what Brady saw to make him throw there. If Meeks doesn't shade to the middle, someone else was probably open anyway.
  4. If we drop a few games under .500 i'd say time to evaluate cardale. If we're still in the hunt, you have to stick with your guy.
  5. I could see the argument on Cardale, but that's it.
  6. EJ isn't under contract next year, TT might be. Who would you prefer to evaluate? The guy who will absolutely not be on the team? or the guy who might? Also - what from yesterday pushed you over the edge? The fact that we lost to a vastly superior opponent?
  7. Ugh - he sucked yesterday. Probably sucks in general. I don't think there's really much to talk about from that game. We knew we were going to get smoked. Then we got smoked. Honestly though, he needs to run more. They lost contain on him a few times and he chucked it down the field when he easily couldve taken 10-15 yards. Those 10-15 yard scrambles frustrate coordinators, force them to account for it more, and open things up a bit more. The option play though - what were we thinking snapping that. they overloaded the right side... even I could see the bills were going to do that option again. So you HAVE to give it to the up back there, or you don't snap it at all.
  8. My wife and her family are all also patriots fans. It's rough. They just expect to beat everyone. And are cocky as though they're like... on the team or something. MAKES ME SO MAD!!
  9. I just don't get it... I get that alcohol is obviously involved. But I just don't get why people can't just get along and be polite. I drink a bunch before the game, but I'm not there to start a fist fight. Just enjoying beers with friends and family and making some good food.
  10. If they call a play, and someone messes it up, it's the coaches... we were gonna lose this game. The patriots are the best team in the league, we have injuries... and we aren't that good. It's not Tyrol, it's not the injuries, they're just a lot Better than us
  11. Felt like our guys knew they were toast at kickoff... I knew it was over when we went up 3-0. Gotta cash in. And we have to stop them on 3rd downs
  12. Not a big duff's guy TBH. I'll throw Gabriel's gate into the mix though. Those were some good wings. Barbill are also very good. And I have had really good wings at Anchor bar once. Anchor bar's pizza was actually really good too...
  13. Honestly, with the lack of playmakers - and knowing you would prefer to not have tyrod get injured. Why not bring in EJ for some read option packages. Can even have tyrod run some routes out there in a couple quick package plays.
  14. My wife's family is coming up. All from Mass. All pats fans. Gonna be brutal after the game. I just hope there are no issues. We've been good the last 2 times. My wife had a beer dumped on her once, and someone asked me why I married a pats fan... My response: We got married in August, there wasn't a game that day.
  15. Since we need receivers... no. He's not the sharpest tool in the shed if i recall. That diminishes his upside in a limited role.
  16. Antonio Brown's only 5'10, and he catches everything. So obviously exceptions. But I get where you're coming from.
  17. Probably why when we had fitz they went with nelson in the slot instead of a smaller guy. And probably why the jets have the biggest WR crew - probably ever. Nelson was not fast, but quick enough and a huge catch radius and solid hands. He was actually a pretty good find until injuries caught up to him. We added Salas for that kind of role, but he obviously got hurt so we're left with this group of turds.
  18. Id just prefer small to be like... quick like an edelman/woodhead/sproles/dion lewis type. They move the chains. This guys a home run threat but not much else.
  19. Lets be honest... Goodwin probably sucks. He's fast not quick. He's not fast out of cuts and breaks, runs very straight up, isn't physical, and isn't shifty. His role was to be out there for a few snaps a game to take the top off the defense, but he can't be your number 1 receiver. He legit doesn't have the ability to do so.
  20. Goodwin's catch percentage per target is absurdly low. It's so much lower than every other player on the team, that I'm fairly convinced he sucks. Maybe he's not dropping passes, but him and TT are not on the same page at all.
  21. I think my biggest issue with some of the TT detractors is that we really don't have another solution. By saying this - it's assumed I'm just OK with mediocrity and lack of development. I'm not trying to say that at all. I think the biggest key for this team in all honesty is getting even better on defense. If we can stop backs while playing coverage's and not stacking the box, we'll win the field position battle and be able to win by running the ball - sort of a denver/seattle strategy. Do I think it sets us up for long term success? Maybe not. But we have Rex Ryan as a head coach, and he needs to make his defense as strong as possible. I think Whaley also tried to address defensive shortcomings in the offseason, while seeming to gloss over issues at offensive positions - Wide receiver being chief among them. I think with a healthy receiving corps, we have everything we thought we would need on the offensive side of the ball. The depth was weakest at that position, so of course that is where all our injuries occurred. TT has shortcomings for sure (many of them)- and we need him to work on them. But this team is built to have a top 10 defense to win games, and to take care of the ball. So far, not so good on the defensive side. Great defenses don't take weeks off.
  22. Except Brady eats the cleanest diet in the world, while orton dips on the sidelines and pounds jack and cokes after the game.
  23. I think it was fairly clear we needed someone who can run quick routes and get open. Help move the sticks.
  24. Dez Lewis was drafted - and is under contract for super cheap. His issue seems to be drops. However, he has possible future upside so we may as well keep him. He isn't hurting the team on our PS. Boykin and Little also have issues with drops. They were on vet minimum 1 year try out deals and were able to be released for little to no issue.
  25. I don't know who's who regarding safeties, but i see it as an issue. Duke and Meeks have gots to GAAAO. And Graham looks like a cap casualty. Blanton doesn't seem to thump much, and Aaron Williams is like - all we have at the position. I'm not saying get a weddle/byrd huge contract, but that position needs some depth. Maybe Revis wants to make the switch...? Anyone with some Rex experience? As I assume from Pegula's interview that he intends to stay the course with this staff.
